Overview & Reviews
Freshened exterior styling debuts on the 2001 Honda Accord, with a more aggressive-looking front fascia and hood and a new taillight design. Honda also ups the safety features list, making dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags standard and side airbags available on all models. All Accords now either meet or exceed California's low-emission vehicle (LEV) standards (some Accords meet ULEV standards, and one model sold in California is rated SULEV). Improvements aimed at reducing road and wind noise have been made, while EX models get a standard in-dash six-disc CD changer, and all V6 models come with traction control. Midyear, a DX four-banger equipped with a special value package debuted, adding an automatic transmission, air conditioning, a CD player, floor mats, fake wood interior accents and special exterior trim.
- Great build quality, spacious interior, peppy yet clean engines, comfortable seats, excellent resale value, reputation for bulletproof reliability.
- Everybody drives one, personality of Al Gore, taut highway ride.

What we wanted - 2001 Honda Accord
By Diana - May 22 - 2:00 amAbsolutely love this vehicle, and coming from a bigger Explorer that had numerous maintenance problems, we find the Accord adequate for our needs. Two years and 20k later we are not dissapointed with this vehicle and we will buy another one without hesitation. Oil changes and tire rotations is all we have needed to do.

Nice and well equipped - 2001 Honda Accord
By qamarmu - April 9 - 8:43 amMy wife bought certified used Honda Accord with leather package. Nice and comfortable ride and great for computing. 4 Cyl gives great mileage, and decent hp, but not fun with 5 people in the car. I liked the over all performance of the car. Not to mention great quality engineering and very well laid interior.

Tiring to drive - 2001 Honda Accord
By Alain Boutin - March 7 - 10:00 amHard to drive. The slippery steering is designed to create resistance against the driver. The direction is too direct. A slight movement of the hand nearly result in a change of lane. Imposible to drive with one hand making a long trip very tiring. There is no suspension except for something I would call a bump amplifier. There is a lot of road noise. The steering wheel block the speedometer and the highbeam light. The steering wheel is too far from the driver. Not enough clearance for the legs. I seems this car is designed for small people. The seat hurt my back to the point now I am now getting rid of that car. (though the service was good).

Excellent daily-use - 2001 Honda Accord
By jordanyeng - February 11 - 10:00 amBought in for 3 years and I never experience a single break-down. The only things I spent are the scheduled maintainences, oil changes, and thats all! However, do not expect it to be too sporty because of the soft suspension setting that aims for daily- use comfort. Yet, highly recommanded with its built quality and reliability.

A - 2001 Honda Accord
By hubble - January 24 - 10:00 amIf you are looking at this review, you too need reliable family transportation. You know that the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are above all competitors in terms of design, quality and reliability. But the Accord is much more fun to drive, especially when you drive much faster than you really should in a family sedan. If you like to drive and need a family sedan, drive an Accord and a Camry and feel the difference yourself. Then decide which to buy.

Squeaks and Rattles - My Last Honda - 2001 Honda Accord
By jja guy - December 17 - 10:00 amAfter owning 5 Hondas, I never thought I would have to take one in for repairs at 40k miles... but my 2001 Accord just proved me wrong! The air vent fan has already gone, just after it came out from warranty (figures). Sure, the Accord drives nice and the engine is very quiet, but the squeaks and rattles from the interior make up for that. From the dash board to the glove box, new rattles emerge every day, testing my patience and driving me nuts! Also, some of the exterior trim around the dash board is coming off. Sometimes it feels like I am driving an American car. Honda seems to be in a quality rut and they just lost another customer because of it.
