Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Typical Honda - 2004 Honda Accord

My first car was a 1996 Accord EX-L. I got this one 4 years ago after a horrendous experience with a Trailblazer. It has been a blast. Good handling and acceleration. Ride is neither too harsh nor too soft. Excellent fit and finish. In typical Honda fashion, all controls are well laid out and easy to use. Leather is of excellent quality. Navigation system is excellent and easy to use. Voice command is also great. Fuel economy is excellent. I average about 24.5 mpg in mixed driving. The best I have gotten on the highway is 34. That is great for a 240hp V6. XM is great for long drives. Road noise is a bit pronounced but definitely not too intrusive.

  • Overrated by thousands of people - 2003 Honda Accord

This car has been okay but not nearly as great as many claim it to be. City mpg is about 14 with the V-6 engine with light throttle, 28 to 30 highway. Car has had transmission problems, electrical issues, and generally not that reliable. I also owned a 2001 Acura TL that nearly stranded me at 61,000 miles due to a faulty transmission. This will be my last Honda since the dealer is not sympathetic even with the extended warranty ("that is normal"). I do not recommend Madison Honda in Madison, NJ to fix any Honda - do not buy the extended warranty there.

  • Good performance midsize car - 2003 Honda Accord

Bought the EX V6 new in Jan. 03 and been happy with the car 30K later. I had several recalls work, most serious was the tranny. However, it started every time and have never broken down once in 5.6 years. Its fairly fast and hold it own against the BMW, Audi but at a much lower cost. Very good car for the money as compared to the Maxima or Camry. It certainly is not as luxurious as the Germans or Japanese high end but is a decent ride. Road holding is not great due to the tires. Mileage (23 MPG) is actually worse than my 1993 Maxima (25 MPG) mainly because of the 5 speed auto held back at 4th gear in city traffic.

  • Good Ol Honda! - 2007 Honda Accord

Ive had my V6 EX-L coupe for 2 years now (3 yr. lease). This is a great car, as reliable as it gets. Maybe a little boring, but arent all Hondas? Very quick for a Honda. Looks great, but no "wow" factor. No worries driving this thing around.

  • No Thrills but No Chills Either - 2003 Honda Accord

Ive owned my Accord EX-L for almost 5 years now and its truly amazing. If youre looking for a car to wow you with performance and handling look elsewhere. But if you want a vehicle that looks classy, rides well, gets great MPG and does just about anything with ease get an Accord. Ive taken it on long trips and even though its 5 years old with 40K miles I still prefer it over a rental car any day when I have the option for a business trip. Taught both my teenagers to drive in it and everybody survived! Easily the best all around car I have ever owned...I hope to keep it for many many years to come.

  • Nothing But Love for My Accord - 2004 Honda Accord

Had purchased the 2004 Accord Sedan w/ Leather and have owned it for a week. I cannot say enough how much I am impressed w/ the excellent balance of sleek exterior styling (the moonroof visor, splash guards, and rear-spoiler I opted for definitely added to the overall allure), elegant interior aesthetics and comfort, smooth driving experience, and perhaps most impressively the value - what "bang for the buck"! Had considered the Passat, Camry, and Altima, but cant imagine having gone with any other car! The look and feel of this car stand up admirably against higher sedans. But for the price, you just cant ask for more. Kudos Honda!

  • Uncomfortable Seat - 2004 Honda Accord

This car has handles very well, although the ride is stiff. The interior is inspired by more expensive German cars and is very attractive. The acceration is excellent. Unfortunately, it wasnt until 1 day after I bought the car that I realized how unbearably uncomfortable the drivers seat is to sit in. The lower seat cushion isnt wide enough for my 38 inch waist. My rear end is wedged between the two side bulsters, and this creats a pressure point on my upper right thigh. This constant pain is the source of my low ratings for comfort and fun to drive. I will probably sell this car soon.

  • Dont just test drive one, Buy One.. - 2018 Honda Accord

I have owned most makes of cars. I have bought about forty ,(40) New cars in my life. This is my passion, the smell, the feel, the joy a new car can bring is priceless to me. I have owned, 3/ BMW 3s,1/ Jaguar X ,2/ Acuras TL & TSX ,2/ Infinities-I35s, 4/ VW Passat w/modifications, 4/Kia Optima SX &SXLs 2.0Ts, and an assortment of Toyotas, Nissans, Mazdas , Hyundais and Hondas. On Nov. 29 2017, after extensive research I bought a 2018 Honda Accord Touring 1.5, white/white. This is the first car of all I have bought that has every technical feature I have ever wanted. IT rides with a certain alacrity, It stays flat in corners, the seats actually hold me in place without sliding . There is no bounciness over undulations on the road, and the steering is as precise as my BMW 328 ci. The 1.5 turbo has the requisite amount of power for my at my current age and skill level and with the body colored rear spoiler I had the dealer install ,(it has a black strip on top of the white), it is quite attractive. I went to the local Kia dealer to pick up my wife while her 2017 Kia Sorento was being serviced, and every available sales person and manager went out to look at it, and wanted talk to me about it. That has never happened to me with any other car I have owned. In closing you can chastise, promote ,ridicule, or prefer whatever car you want, but until you Buy It, Own It, Drive It, you really dont know...Do You.

I had my 2000 Honda for 2 yrs with no problems but a head gasket that had to be replaced (under warranty). It was an excellent vehicle it had all the extras spoiler, mudflaps, wood grain on radio console, sunroof wind deflector which enhances the appearance. Well traded in for a Ford well go figure I recommend this vehicle for any one looking for a nice reliable vehicle
