Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

The Old Girl! - 1990 Honda Accord
By TOGs Mom - November 16 - 4:04 pmI affectionately refer to my 1990 Honda Accord as, "The Old Girl" or TOG for short! I purchased her new in August of 1990. Shes had her ailments throughout the years due to wear and tear, but has surpassed any vehicle Ive ever owned. She is GREAT on gas and has just about the same pick-up as my 2005 Acura TSX! After coming from a 1986 Oldsmobile that needed 4 transmissions, torque converter, etc., my first little Honda Accord coupe has sold me on Hondas for the rest of my life!

Check Engine Light on every 750miles. - 2014 Honda Accord
By Matt Odermann - November 15 - 7:08 amFirst I should say my wife and I are pretty happy with the car. The fuel economy, standard features, overall performance are great for the price range. However the check engine light comes on about every 750 miles for a "evap canister" that is plugged. The dealership always says it is because I drive gravel roads. Well my house is 1.25 miles off of pavement. So I drive 2.5 miles of gravel each day. That in my opinion is a design flaw. So if you lived more rural than me...become friends with your honda service manager.

All Around Solid Car - 2000 Honda Accord
By Dave - November 14 - 10:47 amWe purchased this car with 79,000 miles after our 93 Camry was totaled in an accident. Now have 90,000 on it. This has been a great car for us overall. It has sufficient power and is very comfortable. It just has a solid feeling and quality in all aspects. The interior has the look of a more expensive car, conservative but tasteful. Our gas mileage with this v-6 has averaged about 23-25 in mixed driving and 30 mpg on the highway.

Great car - 1998 Honda Accord
By smiles498 - November 14 - 2:00 amId always been a fan of the 4th gen. coupes design. I bought my car used last year with 53,000 miles on it, which made me a little skeptical. But the car now has 71,000 miles and runs like a champ. It still looks great too on the inside and outside.

2009 Accord V-6 - 2009 Honda Accord
By Last Call - November 12 - 5:03 amHave only owned the 2009 Accord for two weeks. Gave my son my 1998 Accord with 160K mi. Love the new Accord and am looking forward to driving it for at least a decade. It is a major upgrade from the 1998. The comfort and ride have improved. The handling and braking is much crisper than any other sedan under $40K. With the 6 cylinder you lose a couple of miles per gallon but the added acceleration is worth it.

Serious Brake Problem - 2008 Honda Accord
By Ron - November 12 - 4:36 amRotor problems at 3,000 miles, replaced front pads and turned front rotors . At 10,000 miles had to replace rear pads, at 18000 miles had to replace the front rotors, the rear rotors had to be turned and the rear pads had to be replaced. At 23000, had to replace the front rotors and rear rotors. Honda installed a re-designed and upgraded spring loaded brake pad on both the front and rear, that is supposed to correct the problem. Well see. Come on Honda, Fix the problem once and for all.COMPLAIN LOUDLY TO HONDA PEOPLE

What a Bummer! - 2008 Honda Accord
By Michelle - November 10 - 4:40 amI have owned Accords for 12 years, and I was SOOOO excited about the 2008. Only a few months later, I had issues with dash noises (still not fixed after four tries), and at 20,000 miles, the rear brake pads needed to be replaced. According to the service department, this will continue indefinitely (at 300.00 dollars a pop, it isnt a cheap prospect). We also had transmission issues that the dealer "couldnt duplicate". It was choppy and noisy. We recently sold the car for a Ford Fusion. We wanted to ditch it before it isnt worth anything at all. Honda refused to fix the problem with the brakes, couldnt hear tranny probs and after 4 tries stopped dash rattle with fuzzy black tape.

Best Car I Ever Had! - 1993 Honda Accord
By Best Car I Ever Had - November 9 - 2:23 pmIve had Volkswagens and Studebakers, but out of all of those cars, this is the best car I have owned. My husband bought it a week before my son was born. Now after 11 years of ownership, it still runs strong. The seats are comfortable and durable, my son loves the back armrest a lot. I love the space in the back (its a station wagon). It has never left me stranded on the freeway. Ive driven state to state in the car and when the gas reserve light comes on, it gives me a lot of time to go tank up. But now, the paint is fading (its dark red), its getting worn out and its time to go.

Nothing Better at this price - 2003 Honda Accord
By qclimer - November 9 - 10:00 amI put 40k per year on for my job and buy a new car every two years. You CANNOT buy more car than the EX-V6 with NAVI, for the money. Build quality is top notch, quiet interior, great highway cruiser (2500 rpm @ 85mph), and good looking. The V6 is powerful enough to leave most cars in your slip stream, fuel efficient (Im avg 30mpg) and smooth. I would buy another one of these in a second!
