This Year's Model Updates:

As the model was fully redesigned for the 2003 model year, there are only a few changes on the 2004 Honda Accord. Availability of side curtain airbags has been expanded this year to four-cylinder EX models -- standard on those with leather, optional on cars with a cloth interior. All four- and six-cylinder EX models equipped with a leather interior now have XM Satellite Radio with three months of free service as standard equipment. And as with all Honda cars this year, a new seatbelt reminder system is standard. Accord models meeting California's stringent Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards -- all four-cylinder sedans equipped with automatic transmission -- will also be sold in the states of New York, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Pros:
  • Tight build quality, quiet cabin, refined and powerful engines, reputation for quality and durability, high crash test scores.

THIS IS MY SECOND HONDA ACCORD I HAVE PURCHASED IN 4 YEARS. I LOVE THE RELIABILITY IT OFFERS. IT TOOK A COUPLE OF MONTHS TO ADJUST FROM DRIVING THE SEDAN VS. THE COUPE BUT THE EASE OF GETTING A CHILD IN AND OUT OF HIS CARSEAT HAS PAID OFF.

  • Terrible Seats - 2004 Honda Accord

We bought this car, our first and now our last new Honda, with great expectations, and we have been VERY dissapointed with both the car and with the Honda company. This car has the most uncomfortable seats of any vehicle we have ever owned. We cannot ride in it over an hour with severe back, butt and leg fatigue. Its actually painful. Honda is aware of this problem as the Honda district manager disclosed to me, but they arent willing to do anything to remedy the situation for us. What good is a car if you cannot ride in it comfortably for an hour? My advice is to avoid Honda. If you want a quality car, get a Toyota or a Nissan or something else. Buy a Honda at your own peril!

The Honda is absolutely fantastic automobile. However, their design colors (interiors) leave lot to be desired. Why cant you get a white car with a blue interior?

I bought this car on impulse. It was the best purchase ive ever made. It handles beautifully, it looks beautiful (especially in the graphite pearl color) and with the 240 horsepower v6 this thing moves. Not to mention the awesome 6cd in dash cd player and the heated leather seats. All in all these along with all the other features that excape me at the moment you cant go wrong getting this car.

This is my third Honda Quality did not match previous cars, leather seats keep a lot of heat, plastic finishes are not quite good, the windshield distorts the view, I took it to the dealership, the manager was suprised to see it, we checked many cars in the lot and he acknowledged that the deffect was in every car even in the Oddiseys! He was truly surprised of not seen it before and that none saw that detail before. The car accelerates and breaks very well however the the quality almost there but did not matcht my other cars.

  • I love this car! - 2004 Honda Accord

This car is the best in its class. It has the perfect blend of luxury and sports car. The acceleration is amazing! I feel that my 2004 model compares to any 2008 model car with its performance. Im a young college student with a car thats affordable on gas, and has a classy, forever young look to it. I will grow with this car for sure and just know that it will last me through grad school!

  • Think again if you live in a hilly area - 2004 Honda Accord

Although Im overall pretty happy, I wish Id test drove this car up a couple of hills before I bought it. Living in a hilly area it just seems to make a big fuss getting up them. It also REALLY kills fuel economy, however gentle I am. Previously owned a Golf GTI 1.8T, so perhaps I just got used to about the same power moving less weight. On the freeway its quiet and effortless and thats great for long trips.

  • GREAT CAR FOR THE MONEY!!!!!! - 2004 Honda Accord

This car is great. The 160 hp engine is really fun to drive. If you step on the gas this baby goes! No need for the V-6. The XM satelite radio is a great addittion to an already sound car. The heated seats are great and act as great compliments to the comfortable leather. The 6-disc in dash cd player makes a long road trip not seem so bad. I have been a Honda owner for the past 8 years and dont see myself switching anytime soon. Recommend purchase. Hard to beat all the extras you get for this car for the price. Also looked at an Acura TSX, not enough difference in the overall car to allow me to justify spending the extra $.
