Freshened exterior styling debuts on the 2001 Honda Accord, with a more aggressive-looking front fascia and hood and a new taillight design. Honda also ups the safety features list, making dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags standard and side airbags available on all models. All Accords now either meet or exceed California's low-emission vehicle (LEV) standards (some Accords meet ULEV standards, and one model sold in California is rated SULEV). Improvements aimed at reducing road and wind noise have been made, while EX models get a standard in-dash six-disc CD changer, and all V6 models come with traction control. Midyear, a DX four-banger equipped with a special value package debuted, adding an automatic transmission, air conditioning, a CD player, floor mats, fake wood interior accents and special exterior trim.

  The build quality is outstanding--many American automobiles dont even come close. This is my second Honda; I expect the same dependability as the previous one I owned and have no doubt I will. The automobile is comfortable in both the front and back seats; I like the position and view from the drivers seat. Power windows, locks and mirrors add a level of luxury at a working mans price. The Honda Accord--Quality with a touch of luxury.

  I just purchased a 2001 Honda Accord EX with 64,000 miles on it. I have a 2002 Acura TL Type S and love it but wanted a car to use to travel to work in and save miles on my Acura. Well I knew that Honda Motors were having problems with transmissons but I went ahead and purchased the Accord because I thought it was a sound car. Boy was I ever wrong its now in the shop having a new tranny put in it. Go buy I toyota.

  This has been the most solid car that Ive ever bought. Very smooth ride. You can jsut tell in driving it that its put together very well

  I must say that I was rather skeptical since I had never owned one before. I Previously had a Dodge Intrepid with the 3.5L V6 and thought that car was good. But it did have a few squeaks and rattles. This Accord has no noise, its still quiet and the leather is great. I drive a lot and the only thing I would ask Honda is to do something about the gas mileage. My Intrepid could go 455 miles on one tank of gas, the Accord only makes it to 325 and thats with the SULEV 4 banger. I love the car and look forward to my next new Honda... the Pilot.

  Good family car to own - 2001 Honda Accord

  All I can say is that I am very pleased with my Honda experience. Back in 2001, I traded in my 1990 Honda Accord EX for their latest model Accord EX-V6. I had some problems with my 1990, but mainly because I was taking my car to poor garages. Anyway, Ive had nothing but success with my 2001. I purchased the extended 100,000 mile warranty, but so far, no problems. Replaced the tires at about 46,000 miles with new Bridgestone Turanzas; they swapped out the 6-CD changer because the laser started skipping, but no mechanical problems so far. I have to replace the rotors soon because I like to slam on the brakes in traffic a lot. I guess Im somewhat of an aggressive driver. Great ride!

  If you want a good, average car that will not let you down then buy the car. If, however, you dont want to drive something that everyone else is driving or want a little excitement in your daily commute, do not opt for the accord. The interior is extremely comfortable. Very spacious (I am 60 210 and fit very comfortbaly) Rear seat is surprisingly spacious as well as the trunk. Suspension is a bit taut makes for a bit of a rough ride. Also, the 4cyl. just aint gonna cut it, at least go for the 6cyl. for increased performance.

  Excellent car from the start, if you buy a Honda Accord you gotta get a V-6 It gets up and goes nicely, great handling and brakings not bad either

  This is the best car. I have owned it for 15 years and have had no problems. I could drive for hours in comfort.
