This Year's Model Updates:

As the model was fully redesigned for the 2003 model year, there are only a few changes on the 2004 Honda Accord. Availability of side curtain airbags has been expanded this year to four-cylinder EX models -- standard on those with leather, optional on cars with a cloth interior. All four- and six-cylinder EX models equipped with a leather interior now have XM Satellite Radio with three months of free service as standard equipment. And as with all Honda cars this year, a new seatbelt reminder system is standard. Accord models meeting California's stringent Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards -- all four-cylinder sedans equipped with automatic transmission -- will also be sold in the states of New York, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Pros:
  • Tight build quality, quiet cabin, refined and powerful engines, reputation for quality and durability, high crash test scores.
Cons:

Since I bought the vehicle it has had a new trans and a new drivers seat, and a new radio. Now I need to replace the head liner. You dont expect these things to happen to a high quality car. Will not perchase another one.

  • Impressive........ - 2004 Honda Accord

My first Japanese car....I must say I am beyond impressed. I just traded in my trusty ole 1991 Chrysler 5th Ave on this, so it feels like a Ferrari in comparison. A bit jumpy on the interstate due to the stiff ride, but it sure hugs the curves.... Im REALLY glad I got the manual, the automatic just plain felt weak. Sharp handling, zippy 4-banger, slick shifter, impressive reliability....HMMMMM, now I see why they sell so many of these things.

Great car, fast, reliable, sporty, looks good to the ladies too... V6 is good on gas, and plenty of power. Nice luxury for an affordable price. This is my 1st Honda and wont be my last...

  • Worst Car I Ever Bought..... - 2004 Honda Accord

I caution anyone considering buying this car. I bought the car brand new relying on Hondas history. The transmission suddenly blew up at 80K. I did every scheduled maintenance and more on the car. I contact the Honda dealership where I bought it and they offered to replace the transmission for $5500 or sell me a new 2009. I walked out of the dealership, sold the car and bought a BMW. Never again will I buy a HONDA.

  • Best car Ive ever had - 2004 Honda Accord

After 10 yrs of Hondas, I went to Ford, Dodge, even Lexus and returned to the Accord. Lexus was luxury, but bang for your buck Accord is the best midsized sedan in America. Low maintenance cost, good fuel economy, excellent resale value, conservative yet classy looks without using your kids college money to buy it.

I am very pleased by this vehicle for over fours year, I only replaced AC transistor unit ($150) due to I switch on and off AC too many times Honda paid for my wiper motor last year. Fuel economy is amazing for a V6. It says 18-27 mpg but my on-board computer tells it is 23+ in city and 32-34 mpg on high way if I cruise on 75 mph. I was considering trading in this babe for a 2008 Accord V6. After test driving, I still love mine. It is more responsive and fuel efficient.

  • Another excellent Honda! - 2004 Honda Accord

I have owned Hondas almost my entire driving career! Each has given outstanding reliability, excellent performance, and great fuel economy. The drive is solid, and the car handles very well. The 2004 sedan is no different, other than the 4-cylinder engine is a bit more powerful than it used to be. That is a plus for me. Great car. I would recommend it to anyone.

  • My new car breaks in less than one week - 2004 Honda Accord

Honda really need do something to maintain its reputation now. I never expect that my new bought car shut down suddenly on highway due to the charger failure. How could this happen????

  • Whered the quality go? - 2004 Honda Accord

Overall, great car. 2 main issues though. #1. There is way too much body roll #2 Hondas quality is slipping. In the two weeks I have owned this car, I have found a number of mfg. defects, e.g. improperly wired dome and spot lights, rattling noise from the dashboard, rought downshift into first where it actually catches with the cluth all the way in, the plastic screw cover from the truck popped out, the eyeglass holder wont stay locked, for the price of the car the speakers are really poor, the Navi is OK but the UI is a little klugey, the voice activation system is also pretty klugey, and I think thats it.
