This Year's Model Updates:

Honda takes a bold leap for 2005 with the introduction of the Hybrid Accord. Rather than add a hybrid motor to its four-cylinder, Honda bolts its third-generation IMA system to the Accord's already-potent V6. In one fell swoop the Accord hybrid has become the class leader in fuel economy (30 city, 38 highway) and power (255 horsepower). Other changes for the 2005 Honda Accord this year include new wheel cover designs for the LX and EX trims, a new coin pocket design, illuminated steering wheel controls and improved rear styling in sedans with redesigned taillamps. In addition, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags are now available on all trim levels all the way down to the base DX model.

  • I Love My Honda Accord Hybrid - 2005 Honda Accord

I own the 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid and appreciate the ingenuity that was put in this car. It is spacious, very comfortable for my 2 hour trips back and forth to work and I did not have to spend a lot of money on gas even when the gas prices were high. I was very cognizance of my speed and the road conditions which limited my gas expenses. I will definitely buy another Honda Hybrid in the next year or so. Thanks Honda!

  • Accord-ing to me - 2005 Honda Accord

I like the look and feel of this car. It has alot of pep for a 4 cyl. and is very comfortable to drive on long trips. It has standard ABS and side airbags which is a plus. The back seat has enough legroom for adult passengers which is great when you are a designated driver. Great car!!

  • Good, powerful, fun car - 2005 Honda Accord

Having good experience with my old 95 Accord EX V6 which I still happily own, I have to admit this car is so much SMOOTHER to drive, especially the transmission shifting. Very powerful, MUCH quieter than my old Accord (though less quiet than a Camry, which is a more refined -- and boring car). This is a fun car car to drive, even though its a family sedan. The V6 is very responsive, yet quiet. The automatic AC control is very smart... I liked how you can LOWER ALL THE WINDOWS in the car, from the outside, using the remote. On hot days its a nice feature...

  • Best car for price - 2005 Honda Accord

I am 99% pleased with my 05 Accord. It met all my expectations for the price. The 1% I do not like is road noise. It seems they cut corners when insulating.

  • My first hybrid wont be my last - 2005 Honda Accord

I found the Honda Accord Hybrid to be a better driving machine than my 1995 Buick V8 Park Avenue. Both have excellent gas milage. The comfort level is the same inside the cabin . The Accord is some what sporty also and has great pick up and manuverability . The fuel economy gauges on the Hybrid are a constant reminder of how ones driving habits affects their overall gas mileage. It helps one to adjust to better driving habits that save fuel. I can see better out of this automobile than I can out of any other I have owned. This Hybrid is quite a machine.

  • As Expected - 2005 Honda Accord

My 4th Honda and 1st Accord. Not having too much success w/ my previous purchases (especially the unreliable 01 Civic EX) I decided to give the Accord a try. Overall its a very good car. After driving it 3k miles, I find the car to not excel in any one area, but neither are their any deficiencies. Its quiet, comfortable, safe, peppy, attractive, with great gas mileage for a 3,500 pound car. The brakes are mediocare at best (and far TOO sensitive...they grab abruptly at low speeds, at times so hard causing the seat belts to lock). Other than that Im pleased with my purchase.

This is the third Honda Accord I have owned. I find the car to be very well built and reliable. Perhaps the auto could be a little higher off the ground to enable more view. Also I feel the head lights should have a sensor and please put heated seats in the rear.

  • My 2005 HAH @ 12,000 miles - 2005 Honda Accord

My work commute is 40+ miles round trip in mixed urban/suburban driving and I get about 32 mpg. On a recent highway trip, with some rolling terrain, it was about 40 mpg. I bought the 2005 Accord Hybrid because it had the V6 "giddy-up" thats needed for the crazy traffic conditions in our area, combined with great eco-friendly fuel economy. Although he may disagree, I find it as fun to drive as my husbands BMWs...the 3 series, the 530i, or the 745i. I only wish that it had a power passenger seat, auto-tinting mirrors, and bluetooth technology.

  • Sweet Ride!!! - 2005 Honda Accord

So far so Great! You wont find a smoother V6\6spd combo. Trust me! Why spend thousands more for other "luxury" brands? Honda has smashed the competition with this car. Plenty of speed, creature comforts, and most of all refined like none other.

  • Great Car - Much Better Mileage - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

This car, at 25 mpg city/34mpg highway, is underrated for fuel economy when the majority is highway driving. The cylinder management system, that shuts down 3 cyl. when cruising, is what really saves on fuel. We drive TX-MA-TX each year and have been averaging just short of 40mpg on those two trips and 33 mpg for total average. With 255 hp gas engine, it has plenty of pep.
