Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Solid as a rock! - 2000 Honda Accord

Purchased my 2000 Accord EX V6 back in Nov. 2004 with 68k on the odometer. All I can say is this has been the best car Ive ever owned. I took the vehicle to the dealer at around 75k for an oil change and they indicated that the tranny was going and recommended I get it replaced by Honda. This was a known problem and Honda was handling for free as long as it was done before 80k miles. Outside of that and my alternator being replaced recently, this car has been a dream. Im currently at 161k miles and hope to own at least to 250k. Ill probably replace with another Accord but just afraid the later models wont compare in reliability.

  • Great dependable car - 2010 Honda Accord

Just picked up my 2010 Accord lx a couple days ago, its about as expected. I turned in a 2007 Accord se with the v6 engine so going to the 4 cylinder is tough. Im sure I will get used to the lack of power over time. The exterior is nice, and the interior is just ok. I was surprised at the road noise, thats something I didnt have in the 2007. All in all, its a great car. I think you buy a Honda more for the dependability than looks or ride.

  • LOVE MY SE! - 1997 Honda Accord

My sister had leased this car for 3 yrs and I snatched it up the day she went SUV. 135K miles on it now w/numerous 2K mile road trips under her belt. You can not destroy this car! I drive on possibly the worst tires in a winter snow zone without chains or studs and as long as the front bumper isnt pushing snow, I get wherever I need to go. My fuel mileage has drops to about 20-21 MPG with the winter ethanol mix were forced to use, but she runs like a champ! Great car!

  • Side bar door rails saved my life - 2017 Honda Accord

Coming through Mississippi an 18 wheeler cut in and hit the left rear panel. This turned the front toward the truck. The truck number hooks left front door at the f fender and the truck pushed us at 60 mph at a 45 degree angle. Because Honda took the time to do it right. My wife and I are still alive and well.

  • Still on the fence - 2009 Honda Accord

We have 3 Hondas - although this one looks great - couple of things: road noise (so loud yesterday that I couldnt hear my son on cell) - I know that road surface plays into it, but... really. Brakes squeal, seats are ok - but being short it is hard for me to find the optimal position for steering wheel without it blocking out speedo. Also, passenger airbag light comes on intermittently and some engine lights too. Keep thinking about that Bimmer... will give this a few more months.

  • Starts Everytime - 1996 Honda Accord

Ive had this car in my family going on 14 years now, bought it brand new in 96. Shes going on 300,000KM by this spring, shes seen summers in 99 and the worst of Canadian winters in 01-02. Ive done my best to baby her (oil changes every 5000Km, routine maintenance and a few new cheap Honda parts here and there). Shes quicker then most cars on the road, drives incredible and cheap on gas. What more can you ask for in a car.

  • Used 03 EX I-4 115.5k miles - 2003 Honda Accord

First Honda Ive ever owned. This was the first year of this model so it had two design problems. The front motor mount had to be replaced and corrected with a stabilizer bar and windshield wiper motor had a new cover put over it because of water corrosion. I just replaced my front brake pads after 60k got tired of the new pads sitting in the trunk. I found I get better highway gas mileage with 5-30w 25cty/30hwy oil then using the 5-20w 26cty/28hwy. The only parts replaced because of failure was an O2 sensor at 63k and A/C ON/OFF switch. I do change oil at 3.2k to 3.5k and transmission fluid once a year.

  • Best Value Buy - 2008 Honda Accord

Being a new graduate and starting my new job, my primary goal was to get a new car. Initially, I was planning to get a luxury sedan, however the payments are way too high. I decided to go with a Honda Accord Coupe LX-S because I got an amazing deal, reliability, and looks. I couldnt have asked for a better car. Although it lacks the power and acceleration that luxury cars offer, it is still an amazing vehicle. The handling is real tight and going from 50 MPH to 70 MPH is where the fun begins. When stopping at a red light, other motorist stare at the car probably trying to guess what kind of car it is. IMO the front looks similar to the Lexus IS250 and the side of the car looks like a G37.

  • 2005 two door Honda Accord - 2005 Honda Accord

Bought the 2005 Honda Accord about a week before Christmas in 2004. Ended up getting the car a little sooner than I wanted after someone pulled out in front of my Honda Civic. Anyway, its the best car Ive ever owned. If you give this car proper maintenance it will go! Has a very smooth ride especially on the open road. Even though its a four cylinder it will run easily at 80 or 85mph. But I usually dont drive that fast. Gas mileage is supposed to be right around 31 to 35 mpg, but last summer took a round trip of 290 miles and wound up getting just over 39 mpg! Mind you I drove at or under 65. Good car, in future hope to buy another one.

I was very surprised to see that people have had problems with these cars. My car drives like a dream. At 102,000 I havent had a single problem. Great commuter car, comfortable and great on fuel economy.
