Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

mixed feelings - 2004 Honda Accord
By notimpressedthistime - February 22 - 10:00 amThe new Accord has better built quality than my previous tinny 2000 Accord. The door are solid and the interior is quiet. Problem is you can hear MORE rattles inside the cabin. I also dont like the slow downshifting of the autobox, which always gets to top gear/ OD ASAP even at very low speed. Engine feels more powerful with the air-con on. Suspension is a little stiff and again doesnt help the rattles. Interior fit not up to par, Honda!

Accord experience is worth every penny. - 2004 Honda Accord
By Godfather - February 22 - 10:00 amHi all, After months and month of research finally purchased my car -- This Accord EX w/leather 5m is beyond words. It has everything you could ask for, from leather which hugs you to a beautiful and well set out dash. Picked it up yesterday and so far I have no complaints. The ride is comfortable, build quality is excellent. The manual trans is smooth and so is the clutch. Got a great deal, paid 21,800 for a Graphite Pearl EX-L 4cyl 5M. I would recommend this car for all, just seems as though Ive purchased a luxury sedan. Now if only the HID/Xenon was an option

disappointed - 2004 Honda Accord
By kc of toronto - February 22 - 10:00 amThe overall built quality is better than the previous generations, and it is now more like its main competetor the Camry. The engine is more relaxed especially when the air-con is on. However, I find that the fitting of the interior parts is poor: my car is plaqued with squeaks and rattles. This problem is exaggerated by the quietl interior and firm suspension. The second point is the slow down-shifting of the auto box. It seems to move to the top gear (or overdrive?) as soon as possible. I wished I had test driven the Mazda 6 (or even a 3 with 2.3 l).

Great Car - 2008 Honda Accord
By John - February 21 - 9:00 pmThis is my 3rd Accord lease and its better than ever. Great ride , roomy interior, legendary Honda reliability. Some here have complained of poor gas mileage, but Ive had mine almost two weeks, driven 300 miles so far in mostly city driving, and have a bit more than a quarter of a tank left. I should get close to 400 miles on a full tank in mostly stop and go traffic. Pretty good, Id say.....

Just What I Expected - 2008 Honda Accord
By Todd K - February 21 - 5:33 pmI test drove a Camry and a Sonata before deciding on the Accord 4cyl LX - P. The Sonata was not very good with the details. The seat cover was coming out in between the seats. The engine was alright. The Camry was quiet, but that was it. The interior was boring and felt like a 5 year old design. The transmission shift point was hesitant as well. The Accord felt lively, sportier and I felt fit and finish was the best. Im averaging about 28 mpg so far on 7 fill ups. I like its looks and room as well.

NOTHING but a worry - 1996 Honda Accord
By Jenna - February 20 - 8:26 pmIve had nothing but problems. My dad bought this car for me 4 years ago from a woman that bought the car new. It currently has 127,000 miles and here are just a few of the problems. It takes forever to get the window to go up, often have the help push it up. Need a new muffler. Hesitates CONSTANTLY like its going to die, told it was the EGR (?) valve, paid to fix, still does it months later. Starter went out (normal, i guess?). ALL four signals do not work, went to mechanic and said fuses are good, so they need to run a diagnostic test for $90 for SIGNALS? Bizarre problems.

Whats Not to Love? - 2007 Honda Accord
By Tee - February 20 - 12:26 pmI am loving this car! This is a first Honda for me, but wont be my last! In my very recent contemplation of a new car purchase, I thought I was set on another manufacturer, until I had the opportunity to test drive an Accord. After having owned 3 used vehicles, I wanted to get the best that I could afford on my debut new car purchase. I couldnt have chosen better. Sweet ride, roomy interior, nice body styling. Although Ive never owned a new car before, Ive been both driver and passenger of many, so I knew what I wanted, and what it should look and feel like and Honda Accord does not dissappoint. Honda doesnt manufacture cars, they engineer them.

Hard to get rid of - 2005 Honda Accord
By hpnutty - February 19 - 10:03 pmHanding this off to college age daughter and after looking at the 08 accord and others I dont want to get rid of it. Its been everything I expected it to be. When guests get in they talk about how nice it is. My father raves about the color (red). It so fun to drive and cant imagine ever owned a 4 cyl now. But its nothing to brag about from the outside. very plain.

Awesome Car to Start Driving On - 2002 Honda Accord
By StickShift - February 19 - 5:13 pmWell, as a 16 year old whos just started driving, I have to say this is an excellent car. Powerful and economical I-4. Only time it struggles is fully loaded with 5 people in the mountains of Pennsylvania. Excellent build quality. Steering is responsive and offers plenty of feedback, as do brakes. Only odd noise is a clicking coming from the sunroof when its cold. SE package offers a sunroof, CD player, alloy wheels and a few other nice features. However, 4 wheel disk brakes, ABS, and power seats wouldve been greatly appreciated. Compared to our previous 98 Camry, the Accords better handling, stronger motor and nicer design inside and out make me love it.
