Overview & Reviews
As the model was fully redesigned for the 2003 model year, there are only a few changes on the 2004 Honda Accord. Availability of side curtain airbags has been expanded this year to four-cylinder EX models -- standard on those with leather, optional on cars with a cloth interior. All four- and six-cylinder EX models equipped with a leather interior now have XM Satellite Radio with three months of free service as standard equipment. And as with all Honda cars this year, a new seatbelt reminder system is standard. Accord models meeting California's stringent Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards -- all four-cylinder sedans equipped with automatic transmission -- will also be sold in the states of New York, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.
- Tight build quality, quiet cabin, refined and powerful engines, reputation for quality and durability, high crash test scores.

Its good - 2004 Honda Accord
By platanus - November 22 - 10:00 amI bought this car 2 about 2 month ago and its in a good shape. I love the interior, especially audio system. It looks luxurious and its easy to control too. I was a little bit disappointed about the 0-100 or acceleration. You have to be at above 4000 rpm in order to accelerate fast. 240hp@6250 212 torque@5500 tells that u really need to reach high rpm in order to feel the good performance.

Just One Week Old... - 2004 Honda Accord
By Sobek - November 3 - 10:00 amI drive very little but wanted a solid and safe car. The 2004 Honda Accord EX-L (leather) has side, curtain air bags which I wanted for added safety. After testing the Mazda 6i (wasnt very refined with 4 cyl. engine and automatic, but great brakes, handling, and ride) and the Toyota Camry LE (as boring as taking a bus--oversoft suspension and soft brake pedal feel),I drove the Honda Accord and thought it was clearly the best car among those I considered.

Typical Honda - 2004 Honda Accord
By hsw1186 - October 21 - 10:07 pmMy first car was a 1996 Accord EX-L. I got this one 4 years ago after a horrendous experience with a Trailblazer. It has been a blast. Good handling and acceleration. Ride is neither too harsh nor too soft. Excellent fit and finish. In typical Honda fashion, all controls are well laid out and easy to use. Leather is of excellent quality. Navigation system is excellent and easy to use. Voice command is also great. Fuel economy is excellent. I average about 24.5 mpg in mixed driving. The best I have gotten on the highway is 34. That is great for a 240hp V6. XM is great for long drives. Road noise is a bit pronounced but definitely not too intrusive.

Uncomfortable Seat - 2004 Honda Accord
By Rich12 - October 21 - 2:00 amThis car has handles very well, although the ride is stiff. The interior is inspired by more expensive German cars and is very attractive. The acceration is excellent. Unfortunately, it wasnt until 1 day after I bought the car that I realized how unbearably uncomfortable the drivers seat is to sit in. The lower seat cushion isnt wide enough for my 38 inch waist. My rear end is wedged between the two side bulsters, and this creats a pressure point on my upper right thigh. This constant pain is the source of my low ratings for comfort and fun to drive. I will probably sell this car soon.

Nothing But Love for My Accord - 2004 Honda Accord
By jazzhead - October 21 - 2:00 amHad purchased the 2004 Accord Sedan w/ Leather and have owned it for a week. I cannot say enough how much I am impressed w/ the excellent balance of sleek exterior styling (the moonroof visor, splash guards, and rear-spoiler I opted for definitely added to the overall allure), elegant interior aesthetics and comfort, smooth driving experience, and perhaps most impressively the value - what "bang for the buck"! Had considered the Passat, Camry, and Altima, but cant imagine having gone with any other car! The look and feel of this car stand up admirably against higher sedans. But for the price, you just cant ask for more. Kudos Honda!

On the road to Lemondom - 2004 Honda Accord
By DisappointedbyHonda - October 17 - 10:00 amWeve owned an Integra, CRV, and Civic prior to buying the Accord and loved them all. Our new Accord has been back to the dealer at least 6 times for rattles, brakes, and skipping CDs. THe car still rattles, the brakes vibrate, the CD skips and the rear passenger door now can not be opened from the inside. We are in contact with Honda USA and the Washington State Attorney Generals office to have the car declared a lemon. Honda USA has been slow (38 days) to respond to our concerns, and today asked for another chance to fix the problems they have been unsuccessful at fixing 6 times.

Excellent Purchase! - 2004 Honda Accord
By TTC - October 14 - 6:12 pmJust bought this car but I love it already! Originally I was going to purchase a Mazda 6, but this is a far better investment. Not only is the Accord a safe family car, but its fun to drive, and you cant beat the gas mileage (32 mpg). I feel better knowing that 5 years from now my car will actually have a good resale value (if I choose to sell it) and it will still be in good condition.
