This Year's Model Updates:

Honda takes a bold leap for 2005 with the introduction of the Hybrid Accord. Rather than add a hybrid motor to its four-cylinder, Honda bolts its third-generation IMA system to the Accord's already-potent V6. In one fell swoop the Accord hybrid has become the class leader in fuel economy (30 city, 38 highway) and power (255 horsepower). Other changes for the 2005 Honda Accord this year include new wheel cover designs for the LX and EX trims, a new coin pocket design, illuminated steering wheel controls and improved rear styling in sedans with redesigned taillamps. In addition, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags are now available on all trim levels all the way down to the base DX model.

The greatest car on the market. Totally smokes the Altima, Camery, mazda6, and the Passat in handling and comfort.

I have owned other Hondas before and had very good service and resale value. The new 2005 Accord is fully loaded and a good value for your money. While I tested over six other brands, I still came out better all around purchasing the Honda. This car (in my book) rides great, has clean design, good gas mileage, good performance and fine quality. A Honda is a Honda.

  • One Suggestion - 2005 Honda Accord

I love my car but I do have 1 gripe; I think the heated seats control should be on the dashboard near the radio. If you just jump in the car and put a bag or pocketbook to your right (as the driver) it lands on the switch and may take awhile before you notice its on. It was last summer this happened to me when Im driving along and all of a sudden thinking to myself "Boy, its hot in here!"

  • Best Sedan on Earth - 2005 Honda Accord

Honda Accord is no doubt the best sedan on earth. When I was looking for a car, I researched several similar sedans and Honda Accord come out as a winner. Camary looks too sloppy, though its a nice car but the new design is way inferior.

  • All I can say is "Its A Honda" - 2005 Honda Accord

I really thought hard about which car would be good for my wife and I. We both agreed that the Accord was the one for us. Not only is this a great car but its so comfortable for long trips. Its fast and so stylish. Its everything a car should be. Its a very dependable car. After having 1 Hondas we did think we should look at may another car and maybe give it a chance; but after all the great years with no problems we just had to tun around and get one more!!

  • Great car - 2005 Honda Accord

I bought this car specifically for the interior. It is spectacular! Overall this is the best purchase I have ever made. A few quirky things to pay attention to before buying: 1. The navigation system is semi-complicated and cumbersome - It integrates the Audio controls and the A/C. 2. With the automatic transmission, there is a slight lag when you put the pedal to the floor and try to accelerate. 3. No 60/40 fold down rear seats. The back seats fold completely down, OR you can just fold the armrest down and put long things in from the trunk (works well for skis). 4. The sunroof controls are to the left of the steering wheel. Overall, I would highly recommend this car.

  • The best that I could have bought! - 2005 Honda Accord

I have no complaints whatsoever about the vehicle. I have an 88 Accord LX, with only 122,000 original miles on it, and everything works. The only reason that I bought the new one was because I could not see putting the money into the old one for new tires, rims, etc. to spruce it up. So, I bought my 05, and I am ecstatic. The engine performance is amazing. I only wish the mileage was better, but then I am using the 88 (4 cylinder and 5-speed) as my yardstick.

  • Love my Accord hybrid - 2005 Honda Accord

Excellent car, it is comfortable and fast with good handling. My overall mileage for the last 8000 miles is 30.7. Probably representing about 70% city driving. In local suburban driving I get from a low of 25 mpg if it is a shopping trip with lots of stops and starts, to 30 mpg in more typical point to point trips. On the highway the mileage at 70 mpg ranges from 34 to 43 depending on wind and other factors. My average highway is probably about 37.
