Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

I really wanted to keep this car for the long run - 2015 Honda Accord
By nomorehondas5 - February 8 - 9:02 amIll start by saying Ive been around Hondas my whole life. My father purchased his first in 1978 and has had 5 since. I have had 2 already and my 2002 Accord went through hell and back with me so I wanted another one. Except this car feels like it was made by Daewoo. About 6 months into ownership the car lost power. When I try to punch it, it feels like Im dragging an 18 wheeler . It is clearly electrical but they insist in acting like its all in my head when I take it to the dealership for a check. Best part is, Ive already told them in two occasions I tried to set the speed for cruise control and it wouldnt, Again, clearly electrical but they wont own it. Buying Hyundai from now on

Excellent - 2001 Honda Accord
By zdoyle1 - February 6 - 9:49 amI own a 2001 Accord Ex-L V6 with 218k miles. I tend to be quite hard on this car but it doesnt seem to mind. I have owned it for 5 years now with no major issues- I did have the timing belt replaced around 175k miles and a new hole drilled for the oil pan around 215k miles. I still average 25 mpg around town! Anyone who rides in my car is always surprised to learn how high the mileage is. This car has made me loyal to Honda and I will never understand why people would choose to own anything of lesser quality.

Great Car - 2006 Honda Accord
By jollygrnjiant - February 1 - 1:10 amWe bought this car in 2008 with 15k, it currently has 120k. It has been a fantastically reliable car. Other than normal maintenance the only thing Ive had to repair was the starter. I do all my own work and it has been a very easy car to work on. Changing the timing belt, it has the easiest to read timing marks of any car Ive worked on. Its those little things that you dont usually see that tell you it has had a lot of engineering put into it and it shows. I fully expect this car to last for another 120k easily.

This car is literally bullet proof - 1998 Honda Accord
By mikey281 - January 26 - 9:52 pmMy mother bought this car new and Ive had it for the past 3 years and 50k miles (190k total now). It has handled everything I could throw at it. Last summer we took it through 4000 miles of mexico and all the bumps and pot holes that that entailed. I even drove it through a river that washed out my road. It has only had standard maintenance done to it (fluids, timing belt tires) and a few other parts to replace some damage i caused when I went off the road (ball joint, new wheel) Someone even shot a gun into the hood and the support brace stopped the bullet so no damage was done to the engine! Hows that for bullet proof!

This Accord is better than me - 2014 Honda Accord
By glastonbury - January 24 - 11:50 amI rent all makes and models of cars for work (I travel quite a bit). I dont work for, or have any affiliation, with any car brand. I can say the Accord (I have a 2014 EXL) was my favorite in the mid-size lot on build quality, engine design, ride, and comfort. Its as if Honda knows this is a big seller car, and so puts in even a little extra engineering thought into their top seller. Paradoxically, yes, the Honda is a toaster in one respect (there are so many out there) however, its this very reason the car is so well designed.

VCM problems - 2010 Honda Accord
By plymouthma - January 17 - 9:08 pm@ 40,000 car had fouled spark plugs from oil leak, got software update, then again burned too much oil fouled spark plugs and needed new small engine block @ 70,000. Honda paid for this after class action lawsuit. Now @ 105,000 the catalytic converter gone, I am told converters usually last the life of car unless fouled by oil. Honda wont take any responsibility for it. They have sold me my last Honda.

Followup to early review. - 2015 Honda Accord
By ned231 - January 15 - 12:08 pmIve had the car for 2 weeks now (my prior review was upon delivery) and have more feedback to those shopping. Having driven Acuras and Hondas for a long time, this car is totally different from my 2008 Accord in all the right ways.....it drives much "tighter", corners snugly, and I have had no issues with road or wind noise, even at 75 MPH. THis is a MUCH better car than my 2008 Accord. In my prior review I complained about the radio, the only material shortfall I have found to date.

11 years and still Awesome! - 2004 Honda Accord
By dossca - January 12 - 9:21 amI bought my Accord brand new, in November of 2003. I have always taken it to the dealership. I have had all of the problems that everyone else has. To date, I only have 72k on it. I have a work vehicle and dont drive to and from work. First was a recall on the transmission, then the radio went out, then just scheduled services. Then just recently, I have been having flickering headlights. Took it to the dealership, had it checked, bad battery(not it), then changed out the Alternator(not it), then read that the ELD goes up on 2003/2004 accords around 100k or ten years. After 2k of fixes it is brand new. Now just looking for the transmission to go up soon. Its all worth it, I love this car!

Sport CVT - 2015 Honda Accord
By bigboic08 - January 9 - 8:35 amIve only had this car for about a week now but I love the Sport. its simple, good looking and I got it for a great price. I was deciding between the Altima and my Accord. The Altima might be just a tad bigger on the inside but the Accord feels more modern and its a better value. The gas millage is way better then the Edge I traded it in for but I feel like it could be better. Im averaging 27.5mpg driving anywhere from 65-80 on the highway and a lot of stop and go traffic in the city. The seats are comfy, and the exterior styling of the Sport compared to the rest of the lineup is hands down a winner.
