Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Fifth Accord - 2009 Honda Accord

This 2009 Accord EX-L 4 is the fifth Accord we have owned. The one traded in was a 2004 Accord EX-L and it was the best Accord of the previous group. Although I have only had the new one just over a week, it is much more refined than the 2004. Each Accord we have owned has always been more refined than the previous model and the 2009 is no exception. The fit and finish are superb! It drives with a great feel to it... similar to my 1999 BMW. I look forward to many happy miles with this car.

I traded in my old 00 Hyundai Elantra for this 06 Accord and I couldnt have made a better choice! I drive a lot, about 15k each year and the seats are so soft and comfy I could sleep in them! I definitely love the sunroof, steering wheel controls and black interior. Lots of compartments for storage as well. Obviously, isnt that great in the snow, so sadly I must trade in for a SUV soon. Otherwise I would keep this baby forever!

  • Love this car! - 2003 Honda Accord

This is my second Accord Coupe..the first was a 1994 which ran quite well, just fell in love w/the design of the 2003 when I took my 80 year old aunt to purchase a Civic. Beautiful car, quick, even for a 4 cylinder. Only drawback, Im quite short and the side view mirrors obstruct my vision. Not so w/the 1994 Accord.

  • Minor flaws, but overall solid package - 2008 Honda Accord

Ive had my 08 4-cyl 5MT EX-L Accord for over a month now, and overall Im happy with the car. The tires/wheels were replaced by the dealer due to vibration problems at highway speeds. The MPG is not that great around 24.5 MPG in mixed driving. I guess when they match a 4-cyl with a heavier "large class" body, this is what you get.

  • Bullet proof Drivetrain - 1991 Honda Accord

I bought this car a 1 1/2 years ago from my brother with 132,000mi and its been in the family for 9 years. My brother was not very gentle to the car a matter of fact he thought it was a race car. So when I reached 142,000mi we replaced the timing belt for the first time and it was still good "Amazing" we also replaced the clutch and it was bad for the burn outs my brother did. I gave it a full tune-up and I am confident I can get easily another 150,000mi with regular maintenance. They dont make them like this anymore, if they did they would not sell cars.

  • No Complaints from me. - 1996 Honda Accord

Aside from routine maintenance, and an occasional free check up, (complements of the extended emissions warranty) this car has required less than any other car I have ever owned to continue doing its job. I love the ride, and the 5-speed keeps it fun. I hungrily admire many new cars each year, but return to the same reasoning: why spend $15-$50K on a new car when the one you are driving is perfect and virtually free by comparison. It seems almost un-American, but Ill keep my money for now.

  • Love my 08 Accord - 2008 Honda Accord

Do not expect to get very good MPG as it is a V6. The car is VERY comfortable and has passenger and cargo room for days. The heated seats, power seats, 7 speaker sound system, XM radio, automatic climate control make this car an amazing choice for road trips. There is a small amount of road noise but with the stereo on who cares? Ive found myself wishing some of my trips were longer.

  • Steer Away from 2007 Honda Accord - 2007 Honda Accord

18 months after purchasing our 2007 Accord LX, the front-end began vibrating during braking. We took the car in, being that it was still under warranty, and were told that the rotors needed to be turned--the brake pads were fine. Of course, the rotors are not covered under the warranty. I have been told by the dealership, including the general manager, that it is not uncommon for rotors to need turning within 2 years or 30,000 miles. That is absurd, especially given the manner in which the car has been driven. It is obvious that Honda used inferior quality rotors on this vehicle. I wonder what other parts are defective?

  • Beyond Reliability - 1999 Honda Accord

I purchased the car in 2001 because my car died "literally" at the dealership. I am so glad I picked this car. It has been the best car I have ever owned. No problems. Change the oil, put gas in, & change the tires. Thats all you need to do. I have never had any problems. It even takes the abuse of my wifes driving :).
