Freshened exterior styling debuts on the 2001 Honda Accord, with a more aggressive-looking front fascia and hood and a new taillight design. Honda also ups the safety features list, making dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags standard and side airbags available on all models. All Accords now either meet or exceed California's low-emission vehicle (LEV) standards (some Accords meet ULEV standards, and one model sold in California is rated SULEV). Improvements aimed at reducing road and wind noise have been made, while EX models get a standard in-dash six-disc CD changer, and all V6 models come with traction control. Midyear, a DX four-banger equipped with a special value package debuted, adding an automatic transmission, air conditioning, a CD player, floor mats, fake wood interior accents and special exterior trim.

Cant be beat for the money - 2001 Honda Accord
By samspade77 - May 7 - 10:00 amI have been in the automotive industry for 12 years, and I swear by Honda products. This is a top quality vehicle that is a great all-around sedan. It is fun to drive, and the VTEC engine is quick. I drive it on HWY 5 between San Jose and L.A. This car can cruise between 80MPH and 100 MPH with great control and feel. The ride is very smooth and comfortable. I have no problem climbing the mountains, or passing other vehicles. I would recommend Accord to anyone who wants a practicle, reliable, fun, inexpensive, safe, roomey, low-maintenance, and quick car! You dont need to spend an arm or a leg for top quality. BUY a HONDA today!

Just bought it - 2001 Honda Accord

The car is comfortable, fun to drive and had the best five speed tranny that I ve ever experienced. Impressed with gas mileage. It is avering better than 25 in urban driving. So far so good, but without a doubt, this is the best automobile Ive ever ownerd.

Keeps gettting better - 2001 Honda Accord
By First import - March 22 - 10:00 amBought the vehicle new, have had no problems to date, Honda sent out 100,000 mile transmission warranties for problems the auto had to all buyers. I have yet had any problems with the trans. I did have to replace the coolant sooner that maint. req. The dealer recommends 30,000 intervals. Gas mileage is consistent, with the right oil. 5W-20 is recommended. I am getting 20 mpg in town, 29 hwy at 75mph. Have been very impressed with this vehicle, it just keeps getting better. Only draw back is poor paint quality on the hood and front bumper.

great car - 2001 Honda Accord
By my pooper - February 24 - 10:00 amIve had this car for more than 2 years now and have not had a single problem with it. What it lacks in luxury it more than makes up for in reliability and build quality. My family and I are able to turn the key and not worry wether were going 10 blocks to the store or 1,000 miles on a road trip. The peace of mind we have with this car is extraordinary.The maintenence on the car has been outright simple also. The honda dealership has an easy to understand schedule with reasonable prices.

Love my Honda - 2001 Honda Accord
By Tori - February 22 - 7:18 pmI just bought a 2001 honda accord with 70k miles on it. Best car I have ever bought. Fun to drive. Easy to hook up for teens. Looks nice, and very spacious. It seems the manual hondas are better. Had a 97 honda civic automatic transmission. The car was used but after i bought it the transmission went up on me with 20k miles. I love my honda accord and wouldnt trade it for anything else.

Thanks for nothing - 2001 Honda Accord
By hose_job - February 18 - 7:12 pmI was looking for a reliable car for commuting purposes that I could put a decent amount of miles on without having to invest a big chunk of change into some major repairs a few years down the road. I decided to go with supposed "head of the" class when it comes to reliability. Sure enough, less than 4 years and 130K into into my transmission falls apart and they want me to stick another $5000 into a replacement. The jerks tried to blame me because I only changed the fluid once a year at every 40,000 miles, when the truth is the failure was caused by a terrible design that they openly admitted to by extending the warranty to 100K miles. OWN UP TO YOUR MISTAKES HONDA!!
