This Year's Model Updates:

Honda takes a bold leap for 2005 with the introduction of the Hybrid Accord. Rather than add a hybrid motor to its four-cylinder, Honda bolts its third-generation IMA system to the Accord's already-potent V6. In one fell swoop the Accord hybrid has become the class leader in fuel economy (30 city, 38 highway) and power (255 horsepower). Other changes for the 2005 Honda Accord this year include new wheel cover designs for the LX and EX trims, a new coin pocket design, illuminated steering wheel controls and improved rear styling in sedans with redesigned taillamps. In addition, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags are now available on all trim levels all the way down to the base DX model.

  • Buy for performance not fuel economy - 2005 Honda Accord

I recently bought this model used with only 7200 miles on it. Forget about the 37/29 mpg ratings, I get 20 in the city and 32 when mostly highway driving. But the nice handling and smooth quiet ride made me decide to keep it. I also like the power and many included feature.

Bought a new 05 HAH in Apr 06. Honda misjudged the # of cars they could sell and several were left unsold well into 06. I couldnt be happier, since I knew exactly what this car was. It was a Honda Accord EX-V6 with added power and better MPG. It was not a super high MPG car especially in the city. This car has all the Honda traits great build, quality and dependability. It gives about 25% better real world MPG in the city and highway. My 04 Acura TL gets 18 c/27 h, My 05 HAH gets 24 c/34 h. Very grateful for low emissions and uniqueness of this car. Drove my sisters 2007 TCH. Cost 29500+tax with similar features to HAH. TCH has very good city MPG. Like HAH most other respects.

This car is amazing. Honda did it right with the EX-L coupes. This car has great performance and great comforts. The 6 disc cd changer with xm radio built in sounds amazing. The styling makes it aggressive looking. My last car was a lemon of a Jeep and this car is the total opposite being very reliable, amazing gas mileage for me 26/34.

  • Best Buy for Your Money - 2005 Honda Accord

Very comfortable to drive...easy to get speeding tickets! Missing many features common with American autos (automatic lights etc.) but I gladly trade them for the Honda quality. 10,000 miles beween oil changes is a plus also.

My 05 Accord turned over 10,000 miles this week & Im still very happy with my investment. This is my 3rd Honda purchase, 1st Accord. The reliability Ive experienced from my Hondas keeps me coming back & loyalty with the dealer keeps me getting a good deal. Since 1977 my family has owned a combined total of 7 Hondas with my latest purchase - I drove 5 of them. Honda was my first car & though Ive tried others, I know its the best value! I did a lot of research and drove a number of other vehicles, but I knew that Id be getting the best for my money from another Honda. Going from a 5 speed to an automatic worried me, but Im totally satisfied with the performance. GO FOR IT! REALLY

  • Drive Great - Not Japanese Anymore - 2005 Honda Accord

The Honda Accord is a blast to drive, and gets reasonable, if not great, mileage. Cost to own will be in line with Hondas of the past. Honda stands behind their cars, but I did NOT expect to find any Honda that had problems direct from the factory. My car had major window seal leaks, and water in the car after the first rain. The dealership promptly fixed, but left an indelible impression on my opinion of their manufacturing process, which in my previous 3 Accords and 1 Civic were NEVER at issue. Well see. Overall, an excellent car, and I hope to be able to write a different opinion as this car ages a bit. Jim, in Shawnee, KS

  • Dramatic change for the good - 2005 Honda Accord

More solidly built, more rugged, larger, more confortable, and better performance than any other Accord and Camry that I have ever owned or driven in. Will buy no other brand in the future. Have driven since 1960!!! The new (American) Accord is a luxury car that provides the greatest value for the dollar on the highway.....PERIOD!!!!

  • 4 cylinder i-vtec Accord (Leather) - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

After the first 500 miles I noticed a squeak in the dashboard. Im now at 1500 miles and the noise has ceased for about 450 miles. The only other negative thing with the 4 cylinder is its slightly (and I mean slightly) rough warming up in the morning. After its warm though its silky smooth. There was the Nissan Maximas 6 cylinders tradeoff for the 4 cylinder Accord.(We all know Gas Prices are outrageous). But so far Im very pleased.
