Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Cool Honda - 2003 Honda Accord
By leo - April 23 - 10:51 pmThe 2003 Honda Accord is the best Japan car. I had it for 7 years. I bought it in 2003 and still have it. It runs great and it is a very fast car. The top speed I got it at the track is 140. My sister and I bought 2. She has one and I have one and I think you should buy one too. You will love your Honda Accord forever. Buy it! It will last you for long life.

Performance AND economy: Its about time - 2005 Honda Accord
By ezhift5 - April 23 - 7:28 pmThe test drive showed the strong performance inherent to the 240 HP V-6 coupled to the 6M. A trip thru the desert (LA to Phoenix) showed the surprising fuel efficiency. After 3.5 years 60k miles (on the OEM Michelins yet), the reliability has been only challenged a few times. Two pass. window regulators replaced under factory warranty. Ditto for a CEL dealing with a coolant sensor. I like the 6M but feel that "in-out" vague friction point clutch should try for more BMW-type feel. Other than that... best car Ive ever owned.

Wagons are back! - 1997 Honda Accord
By choda - April 23 - 12:22 pmBought used with 95000, after selling our 95 Accord damaged in hail storm. This LX wagon has been reliable, although it has a couple of issues. The slow electric windows, starting to smell antifreeze and the worst is the paint clearcoat is failing. The automatic trans requires more frequent fluid changes than most or it will act up. Gets 25+mpg, not quite as good as the 95 Accord sedan. Performance is fine for normal driving. Its too bad the paint is going away. New paint is so expensive I will be selling this car.

A Sheep in Wolfs Clothing..... - 2004 Honda Accord
By Unhappyowner - April 23 - 10:00 amHonda told me the drastic hesitation experienced after negotiating a turn at an intersection and applying the accelerator normally is just the way the car is engineered, for economy, not all around performance. Dont be fooled by the cars looks! That consistant hesitation ruins the entire experience. From a dead stop there is no problem but if you are coasting or breaking and transition to acceleration you WILL feel the hesitation! Check the trim where the doors meet the windows on the coupe. Look for wrinkles in the glossy film covering the trim piece.

Luxury is not always expensive - 2003 Honda Accord
By asoriano67 - April 23 - 10:00 amI just recently purchased a 2003 Honda Accord EX sedan and I must say, its one of the best built car Ive ever driven. The cabin is very ergonomic, roomy and comfortable. The voice- activated navigation system is easy to use and a great feature. The handling is superb...and even though this is only a 4-cylinder engine, its pretty nimble and quick on the road..whether youre on the streets or the highway. Compared to other luxury vehicles like the Lexus, Infinity and BMW... cant beat this Honda for the money. Another huge advantage is the fact that the first scheduled tuneup is not until 105,000 miles.

Transmission Broke at 90,000 - 2002 Honda Accord
By Illinois Honda Owner - April 23 - 9:11 amI have the familiar problem of having a bad transmission. Dont believe the others on this website that say changing your transmission will help avoid this problem. Whoever says this works for Honda. I say this because that is actually what I did (regular transmission changes) and it did not help, I now need a transmission repair at 90,000 miles. Honda wont help. I will trade it in for another car. I will also trade in my Honda CRV because of the frustration with this issue.

05 Accord EX - 2005 Honda Accord
By swcobb - April 21 - 9:19 amPurchased my 05 Accord Ex with 60k and it now has 105k. Routine Maint with the an O2 sensor at about 98k. Very comfortable, nice styling, heated seats are great, dual climate control and front, side and rear airbags. Only complaint is the road noise on the highway. Great tire wear, and the exterior looks perfect- even at 105k. 4 cyl is not sluggish and keeps up fine.
