Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • nice ride - 2004 Honda Accord

Picked it up at the dealer and set out on a 1200 mile trip. Worst mileage I logged was 31 mpg combination highway and intown driving in Chicago and the best was 37 mpg, all highway, and this was at 75 plus miles and hour. Very comfortable for long stretches, the drivers seat was infinitly adjustable. My one and only suggestion would be to make the 12 volt outlet stay on when the veh. is turned off.

  • My First Honda - 2008 Honda Accord

After several months researching Accord, Camry, and Altima I was very happy that the silver V-6 Accords were in production. At first I was apprehensive about buying a first year model redesign but the auto info was very positive. After 2 weeks on the road and 1,000 miles I am even more pleased with my car than the day I bought it. With all the research I did before the purchase there were no surprises. The response on windy mountain roads is very controlled. I like the variable cylinder management feature where the 4 and 3 cylinder mode kick in when less power is needed. The first trip I got over 28 mpg going up to 70 mph where allowed. Combined city/highway over 22 mpg

  • Not a bad car - 2004 Honda Accord

Have had the car year-and-a-half. Has 30K Miles and not a single problem. Gets great gas mileage (34 on interstate and 26 in town). However, the tires spin pretty easy, especially if its wet out. Not sure if its the Michelins or bad weight splits on the car. Also, the brakes grab really hard every now-and-then. When I turn on the A.C. will hear a "clunk" when the compressor kicks in. Also, the A.C. pulls hard on the engine. Have to wind the engine out more between shifts to keep it from getting herky-jerky. Also, trunk has no detent, so when you open it and the wind is blowing, itll fall down on your head (ouch!) Also, when turn HVAC temp dial, hear a wierd groaning noise.

  • This is a Honda product? - 2009 Honda Accord

This particular year (2009)and model (Accord EX-L V6) have quality issues that have yet to be addressed by Honda, and the sheer frustration is enough to make me never buy another Honda because of these unresolved quality issues with the brakes. I purchased a new car, not some problematic use car... People researching the 2009 Honda Accord should keep this in mind when deciding whether or not to purchase, you have been warned!!!

  • Bought used at 112,000 miles - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

6 months after purchase, the pcm computer and transmission failed at 118,000 miles. Appears that the computer told the trans to downshift into 1st and stay there. What seemed like a good used car now cost 50% more than we paid and is no longer a good deal. We are quite disappointed we bought this car.

  • Great car for the price - 2007 Honda Accord

What can you say, it is a Honda. Love the accord vehicle since 1990. My family has been driving them since. I owned an 84 accord too as a beater and raved about that one too. My 07 replaced an inferior 00 civic ex. So glad for the upgrade, now the wife has taken it from me until I get her the pilot she wants. SOLID, RELIABLE AND DEPENDABLE. Whats not to love.

This has been a great vehicle, I bought it when it was 4 years old and have loved it since. Great gas mileage, great reliability, and awesome resell value!

  • Love it after all these years!!!!!! - 1994 Honda Accord

I keep my Honda mostly in the garage, as I am a commuter to a large city on a train that is walking distance. But my Accord, now 15 years old with 83K miles, still looks new, and runs new as well. I love it!! So much so that my wife thinks Im a little crazy. But I still think that it is a good looking car, and has just enough options that it is simple, not complicated like newer models today. I will grow old with this one, and let my wife have the new SUV every four years.

  • !!Caution!! not as good as it sounds - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought my Accord as a certified pre owned from a dealership and have put 15000 miles on it (30000 total on car). Rotors are really useless, had to resurface them even with gentle use. Seats are very stiff and start hurting after couple of hours. There are multiple rattles and noises from within the car and road noise is awfully loud!! I have to turn up the volume to listen to the stereo. Fuel economy is average, I get 26 highway and city combined. Also, there is no easy /cheap way to connect iPod/MP3 player to the stereo, have to buy expensive adapter. Overall, driving is pleasurable (better than Camry), feels responsive & agile but definitely not the best.

  • could be better - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought the Accord thinking it would be a carefree experience compared to VW. Not the case. Car has needed front and rear brakes 3 times in less than 14k miles, getting ready to get brand new rotors and pads again. Transmission recall. Passenger airbag cover broken. Front left fender pops (a lot of them do on the car dealer lots). Rattles and squeeks. Not at all what I counted on.
