Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

The steering of the Honda Accord is tight and the body roll is subtle. The v6 gives it the kick you need when you need it and the 5spd transmission is smooth. It has a multy wishbone suspention that keeps the wheels on the ground, and the interior of the vehical relaxing. Most of all is the feeling you get knowing you and your family are safer than most anyone else on the road. Overall feeling: Smart choice.

  • An economic luxury car - 2004 Honda Accord

I simply like the "feel of the car",i.e. driving with confidence in a fine machine. I have not had one problem since purchasing new. Just enjoy the reliability, power, fine looks and comfort! I had my doubts that I would be satisfied since driving Mercedes and B.M.W. for years, but I was pleasantly surprised (especially in the snow).

Honda Dealers are up front, they are not like the other Dealers that jingle silly promotions in front you.

  • Blah... - 2005 Honda Accord

So I gave up on life and bought an Accord. This car will bring on your mid-life crisis within a year of purchase. No mechanical problems to date, just fiddly things like most of the buttons which used to light up no longer do, squeaky seat, questionable paint quality. Do not buy one with Navigation - you will really regret it, especially at trade in time. Fairly quick in a straight line, great highway MPG. Handling is borderline dangerous - attempt anything outside of granny driving and you will be sorry - a real issue in an emergency situation. All in all, a nice but boring car that handles like a van.

  • Picked the right "Honda" - 1999 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchased a 1999 Honda Accord EX Coupe V6 in Apr 09 with 184,786 miles on it. The CarFax was downloaded on the website. Went to check it out. The engine was in great shape not "DOGGED" like most. Belts and chain replaced. No Tranny work done. But I can expect it to happen with this model. So I just go purchase a good warranty packet no big deal. This Honda is a great car. A drivers car not a "RACE CAR" Stop crying and face the facts. Normal maintenance, wear and tear. You cannot beat it.

  • 2005 honda accord hybrid w/ navi - 2005 Honda Accord

I love this car.It rides so smooth, taking every bump and turn with ease. I have the hybrib with the navigational system, just to see if the navi worked well i took a weekend trip out of town and used only the navi to find my way. And let me tell you it works great.never missed a beat.it found me places to eat, things to do in the area,as well as showed me how to get back to my hotel. Alot of people think just because it is a hybrid it is slow.wrong..it has speed.if you dont believe it has speed and saves gas you need to go test drive one. also dont forget you get a $2000. tax credit.if you want the one that is the best get the one i have 2005 honda accord hybrid w/leather,woodtrim and navi.

I bought my Honda Accord in 99. I have no problem with the car design, interior, and performance etc., I love the car so much I invested almost $20,000 to make the car look better and faster. I cant wait to get the Honda Accord 2003 Coupe. Honda is an excellent automobile.

  • Please add some more metal!!!!!!!!!! - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my 3rd Honda Accord and have had no major mechanical problems, but the sheet metal is so thin I feel like Im riding in a cola can. My Accord has so many dents and dings from rocks and such and some of the rock chips are starting to rust. This is ridiculous!! It is a year old and rust? My Pontiac is 3 years older has twice the rock chips and no rust. Also my Pontiac has no dings. I switch off driving both cars for the same commute. Earth to Honda --- USE BETTER SHEET METAL!!!!!!!! I will never buy a honda again -- the quality has continually degraded with each accord release!
