Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

This is my daily commute 200 miles everyday. For me it is the best design for Japanese coupe compare to solara. The Cargo space is huge for its class. I just made 200K miles this week and I havent replaced my alternator yet, water pump and timing belt thats how reliable this one can be. Honda Engine and transmissions is so reliable. The secret is oil change and transmission fluid - change service is a must for long life of a car.

  • So Far, So Good - 2009 Honda Accord

We bought this car as the least expensive option that satisfied all our needs (wants). Mechanically, its been A+ so far. We got the standard for one last "hooraw" before we qualify for AARP. Its fun to drive, but now we remember why we went to an automatic to begin with (hard to hold your coffee and switch gears at the same time). Gas mileage is actually better than advertised, but were relatively light-footed drivers. Have one "cheap plastic" finish issue on the interior and a couple "question marks" on the trunk set-up, but the suspension is tight and takes country roads beautifully. I would have liked the universal remote, but you had to get the next package for $1K more.

I really enjoyed this car at first, after all it was my first. When we first bought it the dealer said that the transmission was just rebuilt, thinking nothing of it we purchased it. Needless to say I have had the car for a total of about 5 years now, and have rebuilt the tranny twice. First costing 1,500 and second costing 1,300. The car isnt even worth that much. So unfortunately I am trading it in. I have read that it was that specific year that the tranny cant handle the engine, but I have given up on it.

  • Very good car for the money - 2010 Honda Accord

I think the accord EX 4 cyl. is the best car for the money. I test drove many cars before I decided to get this car. The only car I found ahead of this one is the BMW 528. For that price I think I got the best deal. Road and wind noise is very noticeable, but this is the case for most cars in this category. Seats are not the best but I got used to them after sometime. The gas millage isnt great but the car is quite big. I wish Honda can improve that.

  • Not all its cracked up to be! - 2003 Honda Accord

This is my first Honda and my last! The front brakes were shot at 9000 miles. Pads and rotors had to be replaced. The suspension came loose one week after purchasing the car. Dealer tightened, but still makes noises over bumps and feels loose. Dealer says nothing they can do. Anti-lock brake on right front only engages while going over bumps. Again, dealer does not know why. Engine vibrates at idle in drive gear so much that it shakes my whole arm. Dealer says nothing they can do to fix it. I dont see the situation improving anytime soon!

in november of 2002 i bought a 2003 accord and drove it 34000 miles and just bought another one in feb of 04. IT IS A GREAT CAR TO HOLD MOST OF ITS VALUE AND AT THE SAME TIME RUN WELLAND IS COMFORTABLE. I AM ON THE SECOND ACCORD SINCE FEB AND FIND THAT THEY ARE GREAT FOR PRACTICAL DRIVING STYLE AND LACK OF DEPRECIATION. i BUY AND DO NOT LEASE. THE ACCORD IS A 4 DOOR EXL 4 CYL AND HAS LOTS OF POWER FOR A 2.4
