Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Watch Out for EGR and Transmission - 2001 Honda Accord
By jasony - June 17 - 6:03 pmI replaced an aging Toyota Corolla with a gently used 2001 Accord. I read that there were problems with the V6 trans so we steered clear of those and got a 4cyl. We were deeply disappointed when the transmission on the car went out at 139000 miles. It was the same failure that the V6s had. We also had the dreaded EGR valve issue and spent weeks tracking it down and getting it fixed. I currently drive a 1992 Chevy S-10 that has been far less trouble, and far less expensive to maintain, than this supposedly "reliable" Honda. I dont want to curse all Hondas because I know they had a bad run, but if we had it to do over again we wouldnt have bought it. And its soured me somewhat on Hondas.

Reliable Brand at a Great Value - 2017 Honda Accord
By Justin V - June 17 - 10:47 amAbout the car buying process: It had been 14 years since I last purchased a new car and so I was bracing for the exhausting price haggling process and drama. However, this time around, I took the advice of a friend and utilized a few different sites to see what the best available price was for my car, printed out the certificate and went to the dealership that had the car I was interested in stock. After test driving the car, I told the salesman I was interested in purchasing the car and handed him the certificate. From there, he simply added the required sales tax, title and tag fees. Hondas 0.9% financing made the deal even sweeter. Done! Now, about the car itself: Ive only had this car for almost a month and have driven 300 miles, but I am very impressed with this Honda Accord Sedan Sport. While I wish that certain amenities were standardly available in the Sport trim (Auto-dimming rear view mirror, Homelink, Apple Carplay/Android Auto, Heated front seats), I still believe that this car is priced very well and provides a great value. Moreover, there are not many mid-size, family sedans that are fun to drive, priced well below $30,000 AND offer a 6-speed manual transmission. The 19" OEM wheels on this Sport model definitely caught my attention--one of the best-looking wheels in my opinion--which is why I was not interested in the EX model. I was concerned that this choice would result in a harsher ride quality than one of my other cars (Infiniti G35 Coupe riding on 18" wheels), but to my surprise, the suspension on the Accord has made it rather comfortable! And, with Hondas reputation of being a reliable, trouble-free car (of course when proper and timely maintenance is being performed), I think the decision is clear for anyone in the market for a family sedan.

Accord Rules - 2007 Honda Accord
By Dan - June 16 - 7:16 pmThis is the best car I have ever owned. The climate control system is perfect. My wife sets her side at 78 and I set mine at 70 which makes for a comfortable ride. The engine is a masterpiece and mileage is great. Handling and ride is quick, responsive, smooth and quite. All controls are within easy reach and the lighted controls on the steering are a plus.

Good car - 2003 Honda Accord
By hoinda owner - June 16 - 7:03 pmI purchased this car brand new in 2002 with 7 miles on it. When I traded it in 7/06 I had 100,348 miles. Overall the car is good. The brakes are a little difficult to determine if they need replacing, I had a problem with my A/C making a noise when I was driving. I took it to the dealer 3 times and it never made the noise. At 100K A/C stopped working. Only the passenger side would get cold. Very reliable car, fun to drive, low maintence. The only thing I did was change brakes, tires and oil, and the car was fine for the first 100k. Watch out for the AC. Just because the dealer says theres no problem it may come back to haunt you or the next owner 90k miles later

Great all the way around - 2016 Honda Accord
By Catherine Coleman - June 15 - 3:10 pmThis car has been excellent. Everyone remarks that my husband and I must have gotten a raise because it looks much more expensive than it really was!

Has been a great car - 2003 Honda Accord
By Eric - June 14 - 2:40 pmGood value for the price. Only problem has been a door rattle that the dealer fixed. This is my 5th Honda and have never had a problem. Sound system is over the top. Seats could be more comfortable, and leather not as nice as my wifes Volvo. Can rarely get more than 31 mpg on the freeway out of the V6.

300k miles and still going strong! - 2001 Honda Accord
By jump man - June 13 - 6:07 pmpurchased this car 3 years ago due to me reading good reviews about how reliable it is and the reviews were right. I put 25k miles per year on it. Super reliable, comfortable and drives great.. even in the snow. my cruise control doesnt work anymore which is a bummer but everything else works great. if you need a comfortable low maintenance car to get you from A to B this is the best bang for the buck.. I wonder if I could break a record and put 1,000,000 miles on it

Transportation Specialist - 2002 Honda Accord
By Loomanite - June 13 - 5:31 pmI drove this car off the showroom floor in April 2002, and it has been completely trouble free. Did the major service at 105K miles. Prior to spending the $1K I thought about getting a new car, but recognized that it would probably service my needs for another seven years at substantially less of a cost than a new car (with higher insurance rates, registration rates, sales tax, etc.). True, it lacks the excitement and this model is a common sight on the road. But that helps explain its magic. A wise choice for any consumer truly concerned about the total cost of ownership.

Should have gotten leather seats - 2007 Honda Accord
By Chris - June 12 - 3:59 pmI have driven more in the past 2 years due to many factors. Im really lucky to have had this Honda. Very happy with the V6, great pick up. I call it peppy, handles great, feels sporty to me. I like to keep my car clean. Well the seats are a problem, they are like a lint brush. They are always covered in lint and hair no matter how much I clean them. Seats are comfortable to me, 62" big fellow. I had a used 96 Accord and thought it was a nice car too. I will look at getting a new Accord when the time comes.
