Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Another Winner! - 2006 Honda Accord
By Tom4416 - June 22 - 9:20 pmThis is our fourth Honda Accord in fifteen years and each one is better than the previous. Its quite incredible that Honda offers this package for so much less than an LX where there is only minimal differences. Ride, handling and especially acceleration are exceptional for a four cylinder. Gas mileage on the first tank was 33mpg - 70% highway. Price was $100 over cost with some extras thrown in (mudguards, pinstripe). Although I find Accords generally boring, this one is less so than previous years. Its still a generic car, just one that will never break (we average 150,000 miles per vehicle with no major repairs - ever). You really cant go wrong with this car and package.

Beware -rear brake problem - 2008 Honda Accord
By concerned coonsumer - June 21 - 3:20 pmI have happily bought and driven Hondas for over 30 years--until now. My 2008 EX-L V6, with mostly highway miles totaling 28,500 recently needed new rear brakes at a cost of nearly $360. The front brakes are fine. They tell me that this is normal wear...yet asked if I may have driven with the parking brake on or "ridden"the brakes....I dont believe it! I called Honda to articulate my concerns, and I have seen many other similar complaints on the web! This needs to be investigated....Since the car was the new model, I suspect that as time goes on, this flaw will become more apparent...

My first Honda - 2010 Honda Accord
By Joedallas - June 21 - 8:56 amHave this LX-P for 2 weeks now. Drives OK. I compared with Camry and end up bought Accord mainly due to the body style. I have read reviews on Edmunds; most are true to my experience. My LX-P is 4 cylinder so the pick-up is slower and quite noisy. The radio controls are OK after you learned them.

Cant beat the Honda Engine - 1997 Honda Accord
By Dwayne N. - June 20 - 2:12 amIm so in love with my Honda Accord, Ive been driving it for 2 years since 2007 that I bought at 106000, now its only 126000. Never any engine problem before, only once the check light appeared (Sparkplugs replacement). Im pretty sure that my accord will last at least 10 more years even if I would try to break it. The only problem with it for now is the AC, it blows no cool air :( I dont know what is exactly wrong with it. Hopefully I get it done soon.

Id buy it all over again - 1991 Honda Accord
By Foghorn - June 19 - 9:42 amWow! 18+ years, 150K miles and going strong. I have not babied it but I have done all scheduled maintenance. No issues at all before 120K. Since then, distributor, clutch, radiator, AC, axles, and sway bar links. They all came at once. Ouch! It was a shock but now it runs like new again and I am glad I did the repairs and kept the car. The engine is as good as ever and no leaks. Old oil looks clean at 5K mile changes. What prompted me write to this now is that I went new car shopping and I was amazed at how well this compares to the new cars. Drives just about as good as anything new I test drove. I seriously doubt that can be said of many 18 year old cars.

I LOVE this car! - 2008 Honda Accord
By cbme1965 - June 19 - 8:23 amIve only had my Accord for a few days. This is my first Honda ever. My main reason for purchasing this car was to get a fuel-efficient vehicle that also was comfortable to drive on long trips. Little did I know, when I bought the car, I would be getting so much more. I normally dont like to drive. This car is fun, though. For years, Ive resisted 4 cylinder vehicles because I like to have good power while driving for quick takeoffs in the city and good speed for passing on the highway. So far this car is a prime example of having my cake and eating it too. The interior is luxurious and large. I have long legs and the Accord EX-L sedan has more than enough room for me.

Great Car - 2000 Honda Accord
By HawaiiFive0 - June 18 - 8:27 pmI have the V6 and it is great, has 190,000 miles and still goes. Of course I have changed a few sensors and alternator but nothing before 100k. Gas is ok in Missouri I got 28 mpg but now here in Hawaii I only get about 21 but she is getting old. No major problems but you must be sure to take it to someone who knows Honda or else.

Not so Comfortable! :( - 2006 Honda Accord
By charlie83 - June 18 - 5:57 pmI just bought a 06 Honda coupe lx and man I should have driven it for a longer period of time. The seats are upholster with no lumbar adjustment and hard as a rock. I have a lower back problem and the seat makes my leg go numb. Ouch. Over all it is a good car. It is a nice drive but a little bumpy and a lot of outside noise. It is very pretty on the outside, but watch out for the seats....

Bang for the buck - 2007 Honda Accord
By Walker Boh - June 18 - 2:34 pmI traded a 1998 Civic EX for this, so I LOVE the seats- even after 18 hours of driving. Cloth seats may be more comfortable than the leather ones. Love that this car does NOT stand out, especially given my long break-in history. Motor is perfect: Smooth, powerful, and upper 20s in mixed driving. I feel a shudder from 1st to 2nd when the car is warmed up and vibration in tires from 45-65 when temps are 60 or below. The former appears to be caused by a TSB that my dealer says only applies to 03-05 Accords, and Im guessing the flat spots reported on another reviewers tires may be what I have on mine. If I can fix the former and confirm cause on the latter Ill keep her. I LOVE that motor!!
