Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

I dont have as much power as Id like to have. But thats not a necessity anyway. Very Roomy, I have heard of complaints from discomfort of the seats but I havent came across this problem.

4th HONDA EX - 2002 Honda Accord
By ernestb - July 4 - 10:00 amI just wanted to express my happiness of yet another honda purchase. I traded in the 1999 LX and got the EX this time. I think the new styles look like a toyota and the fact I got the 1250 rebate as well as 4.75% for 60 months. I have no regrets, I got the green this time, last time I had the huntermist. Go snatch your honda before its too late!

Dying excitement on third day!!! - 2016 Honda Accord
By Arun Mallapareddi - July 3 - 7:34 pmEver since the 2016 accord release we were very excited. We loved the technology, safety and fuel economy, and of course the brand name Honda. Finally purchased one few days ago 2016 Accord EX-L 2.4L black and black. It looks amazing. New wheels style, drl, back led lights makes the car look stylish. I like the infotainment system and luxury looking interiors. However, all this excitement died out soon and now I am actually dreading to drive it already. The front seats are extremely uncomfortable, making my driving experience very poor. First day after an hour of drive I started to feel uncomfortable in the back. Thought I was still adjusting to the new seats. But the problem started to worsen. I have to drive about an hour and a half to my work and just after second day of use my problem is heading towards worse. Now third day and I am dreading to take it for the drive. The problem is with the lumbar support and seat structure itself. I love everything else about the car, but whats the use of a car if it gives me new health problems!!! Just above the lumbar support mechanism there is a band of stiff area which doesnt move, which pinches on the back. This is high up and digs a little into ribs on back. If I use the lumbar support to even it out, that makes it more uncomfortable. The support is too hard and poorly designed. Additionally, the seats back and base are hinged such that it causes strain in the hips. Now my hips started to hurt as well. I have tried every setting possible without any relief. I am 58" with average built and I never had any prior back issues. I used to drive a Nissan altima without any problems and never had any problems with other cars I used to rent for long drives. But I am surprised to see accord is so uncomfortable. This problem is highly unlikely to be surface with short test drives, and accord is not a fleet car and usually not available to rent. So I never realized the problem. I really wanted to like the car but I dont know what to do now. I never thought a car which costs over 30k would be so poorly made. New buyers beware!!! If you have no issues with the seats I think its a great car.

Great all-around car thats fun to drive - 2007 Honda Accord
By d_mcg_kc - July 2 - 10:07 pmI purchased this car over the 2008+ models, since I prefer the previous body style. This car has been a delight to own thanks to its responsive engine, nimble handling, well-appointed and designed interior and impressive fuel economy. Ive averaged 27.5 mpg in mixed city/hwy driving with the A/C on full blast. Only complaint is a car at this level NEEDS to come with an auxiliary MP3 input jack. Im not wild about the standard Michelin tires, either. They are noisy and telegraph every pavement joint and bump through the steering column.

My First New Car - 2008 Honda Accord
By Clayton E Tripp, Jr. - July 2 - 9:46 amI have owned some 30 plus used cars and decided to treat myself to a new car. I read reviews and studied for 5 months. This car has been nothing but a dream to drive. No buyers remorse. I have driven 2000 miles in 30 days. Snow, Rain, dry, day, night. 4 cyl delivers great power but a little hungry on fuel. Blind spots. Set your mirrors well. Backing up tricky at first, my 2nd night I almost hit a tree. The transmission shifts so smooth & correctly. Handling awesome. Corners well. Road noise a bit higher than it should be but thats why they gave a great sound system. A little pricy but its really a comfortable car and a great driving machine.

Ripped off but I still like it - 1997 Honda Accord
By Matthew D - July 1 - 10:39 pmI bought my 97 Accord a month before I got married. The dealer I bought it from told me it had passed all their inspections and was good to go. Right after purchase I had to replace the radiator, water pump & timing belt, belts, brake rotors and tires. Four months later I find out it has a bad piston rod and needs a new engine. Even after all this I love the car. I get a solid 32 MPG on the freeway and I love the way it drives. The seats are a little uncomfortable for long drives but other than that Im determined to replace the engine and keep driving it.

291K, Original clutch... - 1994 Honda Accord
By Trillium - July 1 - 2:13 pmThis is the best car I have ever owned! After 15 years and LOTS of miles, it has had no major repairs, never left me stranded, and always been fun to drive. I dont baby my car, either - it has spent almost all of its time without a garage, and I take it places that other people take their 4WDs. It holds my bikes, my kayaks, my dogs, and camping gear (maybe not all at the same time). It has been perfect for an active lifestyle. It is my 4th Honda and, even though they have all been good, this is the best of the bunch. I am going to have a party for it when we roll over 300,000 - and expect the clutch to last far beyond that...
