Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Reliability, solid performance - 2007 Honda Accord

This 2007 Honda EX with the 4 cylinder 2.4L engine shows stark performance with solid precison handling and a quieter ride. I had a 2002 SE 4 door sedan that was flawless and the 2007 was that much better. This car has power from a stop position and rides like a six cylinder. The field of vision from the drivers side is wider and the turning radius is shorter and quckly adapts to tight maneuvering. A solid ride!

  • Great fuel economy, awful seats, noisy - 2015 Honda Accord

The car is ok. It doesnt look good, but it doesnt look bad. Fantastic MPG (I regularly get around 42-43 on the highway), but you cant travel for more than an hour at a time because it kills your back and especially buttocks. Its snappy for a 4-cyl and the CVT works fine. Its quiet in the city and loud enough on the highway that you cant always hear the people in the car with you. The trunk is reasonably spacious but the rear seat back comes down in one piece (no 60/40 split) and the opening between the trunk and the passenger compartment is narrower than both the trunk and the seat that limits the cargo space more than you can imagine. It also has some hooks/hinges than come down and wont let the trunk close if its completely full to the top. I would not recommend it, for the first time in my life as a car owner Im looking for replacements less than 2 years into owning a brand new vehicle.

  • Great Car! - 2007 Honda Accord

Thus far, Im enjoying the car. I previously owned a Nissan Maxima, but maintenance became too expensive so I opted to buy an old faithful Honda. The gas mileage stinks on the V-6, but its great that it uses regular unleaded instead of premium like the Maxima. Overall, I like the interior and the stereo system is pretty good too, just wish I could play my MP3 player. Its a fun car.

  • Think again about the Honda hype - 2004 Honda Accord

I have owned this Accord from new. Maintained it on a regular basis and have not abused it. The display went out in the radio and had to have the entire unit replaced, not once but twice. The fit and finish inside is terrible (sunglass holder pops open, the headline has bubbles, the plastic seat shroud will not stay together, etc.). The final straw is the timing chain jumped a tooth and has caused extensive engine damage. The mechanic stated that this is one of the cleanest engines that he has worked on, so it was not my maintenance on the vehicle. Do not believe all the hype about how a Honda runs forever. All of my other vehicles are GMs, and I have never had such issues.

  • Wish Id done more research - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought the car new never had a Honda. Barely 3 years old & clear coat started to wear off. After 6 years old, clear coat/paint looked horrible and much worse than should for its age. Honda was unwilling to help and admitted no quality issues w/ paint however have found many others with paint problems as well. Lots of squeaks & creaks on inside that are getting louder w/ age Water from moonroof drains has left stains on the interior near windshield & did very early in its life. Doubtful that I would buy another based on my experience w/ paint issue.

  • Satisfied - 2007 Honda Accord

The car is responsive and pretty fun to drive. Feels powerful at higher RPMs. Tows a light trailer with 1 motorcycle easily with no issues at all. Trade in value is already lower than I expected for an Accord. Lots of storage compartments inside passenger area. despite VP coming with only 2 speakers. The other 4 are wired from the factory - just pop aftermarket or honda speakers in and go - mine sound great. Stereo does lack technology compared to competitors, does not support MP3 discs or input from player, need an adapter for another $200 to use CD changer jack as input for iPod etc.

  • Really Bad Brakes - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I had major problems since I bought the car with real hot rear brakes and noise in the front brakes. I had to change rear pads at 14K and still no fix for my front brakes.

  • Nice, but Ouch!!! - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I love the way my Honda looks drives. The ride is firm, but gentle and the braking is superb! The radio in the Ex-L sounds great. I am still trying to get used to the headlight flicker that occurs at night. Not sure what is causing that, but it is not that big of an issue. The one big issue that I am experiencing has to do with the drivers seat. The seatback has a pronounced lumbar support that "forces" your back into an S. For me, this becomes painful after a few minutes of driving. So much so that I may have to trade it in for a different car if I cant get used to it.

  • 60,000 miles later - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

I just got 60,000 miles on my Accord without a single problem with an average of 28 mph- I drive mostly highway. This is definitely a worry-free car. I posted an all 10s review a few days after I bought it and now I can say it definitely has met my expectation. At least once per day during my commute, I wonder why would somebody buy anything else but Honda (I mean in the same category).

  • 25K for RATTLES - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

... and a lot of them. The car has excellent powerful, quiet and fuel efficient V6, decent and predictable handling and one of the best interior ergonomics and front sits Ive ever seen. Unfortunately my car developed a lot of interior rattles coming from front and rear doors/windows and the steering wheel. Its not acceptable for 25K top of the line Honda. The window rattles were also mentioned in the Edmunds Sept 03 Accord Long-Term Test, but apparently Honda doesnt give a dam about it - I have the same exactly rattles in my 04 Accord.
