Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Nice and driveable but disappointing mpg - 2007 Honda Accord
By Ade Solarin - September 2 - 11:01 pmI bought this car used with 12,500miles on it and I have enjoyed driving it. With full options, it is a nice smooth ride with comfortable seats, and the ladies love it! I have not had cause to visit the repair shop. Just the regular oil change and servicing. Low running costs. The sound system is very good. My main problem with the car has been the fuel consumption. The best mpg I have ever measured on this car is 5miles per liter (18.9mpg). My worst was 230miles on a full 17.1 gallon tank! Traffic is bad in my area but I still expect better. On rough tarmac, the road noise is very audible. All in all, its the best car Ive owned to date and I used to drive a C220 Benz.

258K--almost 16 years! Love my Accord! - 2001 Honda Accord
By Jen Accord - September 2 - 4:48 pm2001 Honda Accord V6 with 258K miles and little or no repair needed except 1 mount is 1/2. Otherwise, I want my car to last another 250K. I had heard the 2001 Honda Accord 4 cylinders were lasting 500K but not the V6. Kept up with all maintenance and I believe thats the key.

95 Honda Accord EXL - 1995 Honda Accord
By Vadim - September 2 - 1:36 pmI bought this car in 2002 with 138000km (85000 miles). It is summer of 2009 and car has 370000km (230000 miles). It obviously has its problems, needs repairs. But I got my money worth... that is for sure. Overall very reliable if maintained . I had radiator break (replaced myself), regular maintenance repairs. Engine and transmission are original... would recommend to anyone.

Impressive Car - 2008 Honda Accord
By DJ - September 2 - 11:56 amBought this car Dec.31 2007. Waited for five months to write this review. Have 3200 miles on the odometer. No issues. Silky smooth ride and drive. Daughter took it out and had a small ding on the right front fender. Cost $917 to fix - issue - integrated piece with headlamp. Beauty is expensive to maintain :-> Impressed by the headlamps and the interior layout. Radio buttons is a bit overwhelming. Audio quality is very good.

Next Honda Is A Camry - 2003 Honda Accord
By R. Morgan - September 2 - 11:23 amThis car is the 9th Honda product owned by me and my immediate family. At 76,000 miles with all scheduled maintenance performed, the transmission failed. Honda would not pay for any repair since it was out of warranty. Transmission overhaul cost $2,200. No more loyalty to Honda Motor Company from me. Transmission repair shops will tell you that the torque converter and internal filter are the weak links in all Honda transmissions.

Great Car - 1997 Honda Accord
By CHK - September 2 - 10:06 amBought the car in 2006 when it had about 150,000 miles - have made many trips from PA to NH and back with never a problem - this car has never let me down. It now has 215,000 miles, and Im looking to take it to 300,000. The only service Ive had to do is routine maintenance, and repairs that were a result of my own dumb mistakes. Great car!!! Looking to by buy another car in the next couple months - this one will be another Accord. Thanks, Honda.

Excellent all around vehicle - 1993 Honda Accord
By Steve - September 1 - 4:41 pmBought this car new 16 years ago. Now has 175K and it still runs well and looks good. It has needed some repairs recently, which I would expect with all the miles, but overall it has been an excellent and very reliable car. The four cylinder engine is economical delivering 23 city/28 highway, yet offers plenty power to "get up and go". Easy to drive, with excellent handling characteristics. Comfortable seats and nice view of the road with low dashboard and large windshield. Economical to operate and maintain. Tires wear like iron, I get almost 50K miles on a set of tires. Brakes last a long time too.

This could have been a great car - 2017 Honda Accord
By Shaun - August 31 - 2:46 amI made the error in purchasing the 2017 Accord SE Sport without really putting my foot in it and letting the car run. I found out all too quickly that the car was all show and no go. the styling is great the car is beautiful on the outside. interior is par for the course I upgraded to leather I believe a wise choice for the money, the instrument display is easily readable and the fuel economy halo around the speedo is a nice touch. the main display screen is totally useless unless you are in reverse other wise it will show a massive clock or a tally of MPG totals. This could have been a cool feature if they would have spent a little more time on the software side of the car. auto system sounds good with clean high and bass notes blue tooth pairing often fails and requires rebooting the device or the car. the touch to talk button on the steering wheel is worthless as once again the software that drives it is junk. Driving comfort is marginal at best the car is prone to wind noise and if you are driving on anything that has the least amount of bumpiness to the surface you will feel it in your kidneys. All these short comings could be over looked except for the first statement in this review all show NO-GO! This car is equipped with the most powerful I-4 available in the accord but still makes less than 200 horse power. the engine isnt the issue however because when coupled with the manual gear box as I found out later the car can come alive. The problem with the car is the CVT transmission this thing is junk and the worst part is I paid an extra two grand to get it over the 6 speed manual. The CVT transmission makes this car feel like it is in a constant state of slippage dont pull out in traffic if to have a car coming because you will most likely not make it. want to pass someone good luck your stuck behind that person doing 10 under on a two lane road because the car accelerates so slowly. Sure you will eventually get to speed but it will take you awhile. speaking of taking awhile 0-60 times on this car have been exaggerated to say the least plan on spending just over 10 seconds to get from 0-60MPH in drive mode, you will spend 9.89 seconds going 0-60 in sport mode and the best but still poor using the paddle shifters you will eek out the best time of 8.96 seconds 0-60. a far cry from the advertised 0-60 time of 7.5 seconds. But hey we didnt buy the accord to race we bought it for fuel economy right? While it would be nice to be able to pass grandma on a two lane without risking sudden death, if time is on your side than by all means get an accord at an average 32MPG driving with the eco button on. This would be my only reason to keep the accord but dont buy the sport version without the manual as you will just feel like crap getting passed by everything in sight and have no ability to do anything about it .

Great Car... if it WOULD START - 2014 Honda Accord
By Kelli - August 30 - 6:25 amI love(d) Hondas. This is my 3rd Honda. Certified, not even 3 years old, right at 50k miles on it. Car will not start. Replaced battery. Still will not start. I look online and realize that it is due to a faulty starter, which Honda continually denies. Now I am not sure if I want to pay upwards of $500 to replace the starter, probably multiple times, when I could just get a different car and not deal with this nonsense that has accompanied this practically brand new vehicle. Come on Honda... really disappointed.
