Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Improved Accord - 2007 Honda Accord
By Venkat - September 9 - 2:13 amI have owned a Honda before and it has been a pleasure to ride these Accords. A good economical family sedan, with stylish interiors and good safety features.

Follow up review 4 years later - 2001 Honda Accord
By ElectricalEngineer - September 8 - 9:44 pmI reviewed this car in October 2005. Now it is four years later, I still have the same Accord EXV6. Im even happier after this much time has passed. Ive made a lot of improvements to the sound system that resulted in complete disassembly. This is an excellent vehicle to work on. Everything is secured well. Panels can be removed and replaced without squeaking or rattling. It is still a great vehicle and Im always getting compliments when people see the odometer. Do not hesitate to pick this one up!

Great car!!! - 2016 Honda Accord
By HARRY - September 8 - 8:29 pmThis is our third Honda accord LX lease, after 11 yrs with a f-150 truck decided to go back to the Honda. Let me start with fit and finish are second to none interior seems well built. The back up camera is a nice feature, but all view angles out of the windows are easy to see. Instrumentation is very well laid out and easy to use(lot more features than our 07 accord) The CVT transmission is great but a little getting used to, horse power is rated at 185 which perfect for merging into traffic, but still getting great gas mileage. Breaks....what can I say its a Honda, great stopping power and peddle feel. Looked at the Toyota, but they just dont have the fit and finish of the Honda.

Biggest Mistake of my life - 1998 Honda Accord
By razor225 - September 8 - 3:16 pmWe must have bought the biggest lemon on the lot. 2wks after purchase spent 1500 on repairs. Should have knew something was up then. Needless to say I think we have spent over 6000 in repairs in 18 months. We just had to replace a ball joint and tie rod and front tire. These were brand new tires...this car is the biggest piece of JUNK ever made.

Running strong - 1997 Honda Accord
By yixter - September 6 - 9:09 pmBought this car in 03 with 68k now it is 183k and still going strong, about 80% of the miles are highway and I still got 31/32mpg overall according to the cars odometer. I carefully rated this car in the listed categories and wont say anything more. I had to replace a failed starter, front cv joints, changed the exhaust system and the tires 2 times, battery and a pair of front brake pads once, that is all. I recently bought a 09 accord new instead of trade in my 97 for $1000 I decided to keep it.

Shoulda listened - 2010 Honda Accord
By Dao82 - September 6 - 8:30 pmI cant wait to get rid of this car. This car is so loud maybe because the engine is underpowered. Road noise is horrible. The controls are confusing and the seats are uncomfortable and cramped. It does have nimble response just dont drive off the road trying to adjust the radio. The reviews are correct. I think no one wants to admit they bought a bad car. I am going back to Toyota.

If it werent so quiet... - 2006 Honda Accord
By Alex Hidell - September 5 - 5:53 pmI love everything about this car. It fits my family needs and is extremely fun to drive. The ONLY draw back, is that it is so quiet inside at low RPMs (idle) that I tend to misjudge where the friction point is in the clutch! So Ive been tending to over rev the car from time to time, when starting out. But who can complain right? Its perfect for me. Also, the "little gadgets" that other auto manufacturers put into their cars that end up driving the costs up, are not included in the Accord.

Mileage Disapointment - 2008 Honda Accord
By Doug - September 4 - 12:13 pmI love my new Accord. It is fun to drive and roomy. At 63" I can sit comfortably in the drivers seat and have an unobstructed view out the windows. Unfortuantely, I am a bit disappointed with the MPG. I use the highway extensively. Between town and the Highway I only get about 1-2 MPG over my former 2000 6cyl Accord. The best gas mileage I have achieved for this 4 cyl. has been 30 MPG on 250 miles of continuous flat terain highway traveling no higher than 68 Miles per hour mostly on cruise. Around town I am averaging about 17 MPG. For a 4 cyl. vehicle, I expected better especially since I drive conservatively. Bottom line - This is a great car but dont expect it to spoil OPECs bottom line
