Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Honda hits another home run with the Accord EXL 4Cyl. I have had a 95 Acura Integra GSR and an 00 Accord EXL V6. The 04 Accord combines the best features of each the previous two. The Engine has the quiet, smoothness and power of the GSR. The interior is more luxurious much more quiet than my old Accord. The 5sp Manual is perfection. Safety and comfort Improvements make this car vastly superior to Toyota, VWs or Nissan. All this for the same price as 95 Integra.

Comfort, style and get up and go. Thats what this car is all about. It didnt take long to make the decision to buy the Accord. With the recommendation to buy this car from my son, who is a big fan of Honda, I just wonder why I didnt get it sooner. Nothing else compares. Dont pass this car by. Youll be sorry if you do.

  • 2009 Honda Accord EX-L without Navi. - 2009 Honda Accord

I have had my Accord for a few months now. I honestly dont know what everyone complains about. I drive pretty rough (college kid) and my MPG is always around 25. When I drive home it is nothing for me to get 30+ MPG. GREAT gas mileage on mine! There was a rattle in the sunroof, brakes squeal after a few months. Notified Honda, USA about it. Both suddenly stopped after a week. Backseat is very comfy, but driver seat can take its toll on me when driving home. VERY smooth ride, for those that care the exhaust is pretty good, leather is a good quality leather unlike Hyundai, the build quality is... wow amazing! I would def. buy another Honda (this is my first one). Paid $26,500.

  • Honda Accord, the new Impala - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

In my opinion, with its redesigned Accords, Honda has perfected the classic American large sedan. This new Honda feels like a very well put together Chevy Impala. ItÂ’s designed for American roads and American families so I suppose thatÂ’s fine. So far, and I have only had it a week, I find it like driving a barge. I donÂ’t care for it but itÂ’s not so bad that I can say I hate it. ItÂ’ just not fun to drive. ItÂ’s fine on the interstate but parking is clunky and I donÂ’t long to drive it like I did my old BMWs. Alas, now I own it. I wish Honda had a return policy.

  • I should have bought Camry - 2014 Honda Accord
    By -

While the car is not bad, there many things which are extremely cheaply made. My car just past the basic warranty started to have trouble with rear door actuator. Honda wants $300.00+ to replace it. I had many different cars with power doors like Mazda, Toyota and Nissan and never had so many annoying problems. I should have paid the $500 more and bought the Toyota Camry. There is a reason why Toyotas are rated excellent by Consumer Reports and Hondas are average. The old saying applies here that cheap becomes expensive. Also Honda does not stand behind its product. The actuator issue is not new, they even settle a class action suit for millions of dollars. It was on a different vehicle made by Honda, but I am sure that the parts are made by the same manufacturer.

  • Unbelievable Value - 2017 Honda Accord
    By -

Change the badge to BMW, MB or Audi and there would be $55,000 sticker on this. Ive owned an Audi A4, driven A6s, A8s & MB E class. Nice cars with beautiful cabins and great performance. No question. But the Honda Accord Sport SE is an unbelievable value. The cabin is top notch. Quality through & through with many features. Leather interior with red stitching is a nice touch. Leg room for the front & rear passengers is excellent. Very comfortable for driver & passengers. I feel that I could drive from NY to Florida and get out of the car feeling fresh as a daisy. Trunk space is ample. Controls are easy to use & very intuitive. The engine is a very reliable I4, 2.4L with 189bhp. Pickup is adequate. Its not going to match other 4 door, 4 cylinder sedans. But Honda is not in the performance business. They make FAMILY vehicles. But it would be nice if they would up the BHP to 220. The engine is quiet and revs low. The ride is smooth and quiet even at 70mph. But the 19" rims outfitted with P235/40 tires does make you feel the road more. That may not be favorable for those who enjoy more of a soft/quiet ride. But I dont mind it at all. You feel the road more and true drivers like that. The MPG is excellent and it uses regular-unleaded 87 octane fuel. Overall this is an excellent vehicle. For the price, its a steal. I dont know how Honda does it.
