Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

The Best Ever - 1997 Honda Accord
By Tober - October 16 - 10:00 amThis has been our "second" car -- the other is a 5 series BMW, also a fine car. However, this Honda is without a doubt the best yet. For whatever strange reason, probably to compete in the SUV market, Honda no longer makes wagons. It is a shame. This car does everything, and more, that a owner could ever want. Comfort, pickup, space for dogs and or children and or adults and old folks, fuel economy and mileage range, great exterior and interior design, you name it, it has it and it does it. Dont have a clue, when it comes time, as to how to replace it.

Used Accord, excellent - 2004 Honda Accord
By reviewsareoos - October 15 - 8:04 pmI bought this car used, its my first car. After researching A LOT I came to the conclusion that a Honda is probably the safest choice when it comes to buying a used car. I wanted a four door and something with a little power. I am extremely satisfied. Luckily who ever had it before me took excellent care of it because its pretty much like new. I have yet to experience any serious problems with it.

Disappointed - 1995 Honda Accord
By Skyroamer - October 15 - 3:18 pmThis car had a manufacturing defect in the transmission. After multiple loss of all transmission fluid Honda tried to blame us for the problem. The transmission failed at 50,200 on a 50,000 warranty and Honda refused to fix it. An outside shop found a machining defect from the factory in one of the case halves of the trans. replaced half at a cost of $1800 total repair and no problems in over 100G of additional mileage. Honda never answered my letter until 4 years later. Would never buy another as a result of their bad customer attitude and lack of concern/support. Have pictures and parts as proof of defect. Honda did not care at all!!!

What a Car........ - 2008 Honda Accord
By blackmax01 - October 14 - 1:33 pmI get a new car about every four years and this is my first Honda. My last three were a Camry a Maxima and a Audi. I waited for 3000 miles to really get a feel for this car before writing this review. With gas getting to 3.50 a gallon I figured I would go for a four banger instead of a six and I am not sorry. This car (big for a 4) has plenty of punch at 190 horses. Getting about 26-27 in mixed driving. The ride is firm but not harsh, It is more comfortable than the Maxima and looks much better than any Camry. Road noise is a little loud, but with a 270 watt stereo who cares! Looks good, rides good, has all the bells and whistles, and Honda dependable, what more can ask for under $25G.

Pilot or Accord, Mazda or G6 - 2005 Honda Accord
By Dan - October 14 - 7:56 amAfter much thought, we decided in favor of the 2005 accord ex with cloth. Although the residual value on the Pilot was better, with gas prices on the rise, we chose another accord. Mazda and Pontiac were considered, just briefly before trading in the 2002 special edition. It was the best decision, we realized significant improvements in the vehicle since 2002. I was impressed with all the upgrades, from the increased horsepower to the solid ride. The interior was well appointed and the cabin space slightly larger. Instrumentation was well organized and easy to use. Only one minor regret, the moonroof didnt work. The dealer was aware of a fuse problem, otherwise, very satisfied.

1991 Honda Accord SE - 1991 Honda Accord
By Les R Howell - October 13 - 12:51 pmI bought this car new 1991. My wife and I have put 271050 miles on it. When I bought a new Toyota, Avalon, 2001- I didnt sell this car and let it sit for over two years in my drive. Put the key in two years later and... Voom! Wonderful car. Excellent gas mileage. Very quick and it just sings when you start it. Honda mechanics love to work on it (three new timing belts, new tires, new brakes), no engine problems- none, nota, zilch. Still just as quick as ever. Does not have air bags and my wife refuses to let my daughter drive it without them. Must sell. Every car should want to be like this one. It is possible to love a machine... though I never thought so.

Finally took the plunge - 2003 Honda Accord
By BK - October 10 - 2:06 amI looked at every car out there to replace my beloved 92 civic si that I have had for 10 years. I considered the Corolla, Civic, RSX, CL, Mazda3 and 6, Altima, the VW line and more. Needless to say the Honda quality and the upscale feel interior won me over. While I am not wild about the front end styling, the interior and ride quality make up for it. So far I am really impressed with the noise dampening. While it is not as quiet as the Camry it is easy to have a conversation with other people in the car without having to yell... such was the case in my boy racer civic. All in all the Accord meets my requirements of being a little more grown up while not being stuffy and old like the Camry
