This Year's Model Updates:

Honda takes a bold leap for 2005 with the introduction of the Hybrid Accord. Rather than add a hybrid motor to its four-cylinder, Honda bolts its third-generation IMA system to the Accord's already-potent V6. In one fell swoop the Accord hybrid has become the class leader in fuel economy (30 city, 38 highway) and power (255 horsepower). Other changes for the 2005 Honda Accord this year include new wheel cover designs for the LX and EX trims, a new coin pocket design, illuminated steering wheel controls and improved rear styling in sedans with redesigned taillamps. In addition, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags are now available on all trim levels all the way down to the base DX model.

  • Nice, but Somewhat Over-rated - 2005 Honda Accord

Fun to drive, great mileage on the highway, but in town, it is overrated. I get about 24 in town. Nav feature is great and with the exception of a few new subdivisions, it has exceeded expectations. Mine just got recalled for electric motor battery problems.

  • Great all around car - 2005 Honda Accord

This car is an all around great car. I get great gas mileage, and still have a car with enought power to accelerate pass other drivers on the interstate. The leather heated seats, moonroof,6 disc cd player, xm radio, steering wheel audio controls, and six airbags are just some of the perks that are standard in the EX model. I own the coupe model and the majority of my friends are 6ft plus tall. They all fit comfortably in the back seat. Aesthetically the care looks terrific. All in all, a great all-around vehicle.

  • Accord Hybrid - New Owners Impressions - 2005 Honda Accord

My objective was to complete all negotiating before I walked into the dealer. I researched the Accord hybrid online and sent e-mails to all local dealers indicating interest to buy when one arrived. Several e-mailed me as they arrived but werent keen on discounting off of sticker. One dealer was willing to sell the car at $1,000 off sticker, if I closed before the end of December. I test-drove the car at that dealer and after about 2 minutes in the car I was sold. I received my Accord hybrid on New Years eve 2004. I have just turned over 1000 miles and my satisfaction has not waned. It is unbelievably quiet, and will really get up and go when asked. No squeaks or rattles.

  • Good Replacement for PASSAT Owners - 2005 Honda Accord

After looking and test driving the Accord competitors like Altima, SOnato and others. We liked the Accord compared to others in all aspects. Interior color, design, outside color and shape. Good cabin compact and fun drive. It has got some improvements like fog lights, optional shifter etc., to do comapring to PASSAT. But I hope it will be trouble free car than PASSAT. We liked the Graphite Pearl Color. Its has nice look into it.I will surely recommend to others..

Ive been exceptionally pleased with the Honda Accord. It is pleasurable to drive in the city and hwy. My other vehicle, a 2003 A6 Quattro, is more fun/sporty, but I must admit to enjoying the Accord more (dont tell my wife). The 240 hrs pwr, leather trim, Nav system, XM radio- makes for an awesome ride.Would I rather have a new A6- of course! But all things considered this is one of the smartest purchases I have made to date. I highly recommend this vehicle to any one who finds value to be important.Oh yeah, given the new addition to our family, were trading in the Audi for an Odyssey EXL w/ Nav/DVD. I never thought Id say this- I actually WANT to own an Odyssey.

  • Only moderately impressed - 2005 Honda Accord

The car has many positive features. Superb powertrain, very good build quality, excellent fuel economy, superb controls with great tactile feedback, equipped but not gaudy. The down side is the overly firm ride, steering that lacks precision and feedback. Itskind of like driving on molasses. And the seats are hard to get comfy in. Slightly over-firm cushion and hard to get centered in the seat. It is a nice looking vehicle in darker colors, it helps hide the heft of the rear end. Interior is very fuctional but not flashy.

  • Honda 2005 - 2005 Honda Accord

I had always been a Ford Mustang GT (fun and sporty) driver, until I decided to try something completely different. I purchased my 2005 vehicle in December of 2004, and couldnt be more pleased. The car is so smooth, Im speeding before I realize it! Its classy and elegant, but also sporty! There are so many more details to the car, then I could even start to explain. I highly recommend!

  • 7th Honda and still going strong - 2005 Honda Accord

A pure pleasure to drive. Great handling and brakes. Interior is much improved over 2002. Acceleration also much improved over 2002 and the entire drivetrain is silky smooth.

  • So far... - 2005 Honda Accord

...so good! Just got this 4 cylinder LX and love it! Its quiet and responsive. Havent notice any of the rattles that some reviewers have indicated. Plenty of power at whisper volumes. Interior is well designed with everything within drivers reach. AC is ice cold. Mileage has been solid so far. No wonder this car is so popular!

  • Quality, Quality, Quality - 2005 Honda Accord

Theres more wiggle room than youd think these days when buying a Honda. I paid less than invoice for this beauty, and she does not disappoint. Comfortable seating, good smooth acceleration and stopping, plus PRECISION handling motivate me to take a different and longer way home each night. I drove and loved my Jeep Grand Cherokee for 4 years and thought the change would be difficult. Not so. I drove the Jeep the other day and felt like I was driving a school bus. This is the poor mans Mercedes without the bulk.
