Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

My search is over - 2003 Honda Accord
By shellybelle - October 23 - 10:00 amWithin two years, Ive owned a new Grand Am, a new Mustang(V-6), and in December bought a new Honda Accord 4 cyl. 5-speed manual w/leather. loved it soooo much i bumped up to the V-6 6- speed manual four days ago. had to have it. Honda makes an incredible car at a reasonable price that makes you feel as though youre riding in the lap of luxury and having fun at the same time. This is my dream car.

Great Car - 1997 Honda Accord
By PennyPincher - October 23 - 10:00 amOur Honda Accord has been the best car we have ever owned. The only work that has been done on the car is routine maintenance. Our Accord had no problem getting through this years long winter.

Accord, sportscar like performance! - 2004 Honda Accord
By Mtn bike rider - October 21 - 6:50 amMy wife and I had our first child in April 04. We were driving 2 Integras at the time of her pregnancy. We loved this car because it didnt drive much differently than the Integras. One noticable difference was how stiff the ride was on rougher roads. There is a definate "chop" on larger bumps. This is something my wife and I were willing to live with to keep the quality of handling performance we were used to. The cabin is roomy, comfortable, quiet and well thought out ergonomically with first rate fit and finish. Problems so far(14 mo.) have been relatively minor. A squeaky door hinge-fixed. A faulty alternator ELR-replaced and no new problems.

Great car - 2006 Honda Accord
By samuel - October 20 - 10:51 pmI now drive this car after owning several Honda / Acura vehicles in the past. They are the best vehicles on the road for the money. It is powerful enough to get by most cars, and yet just blends in like a regular car. It isnt flashy, but I love my Accord . I only wish that I would have gotten the v6 manual instead of the auto. Simple, reliable, classy, yet sporty. I have always been satisfied with Honda products and Im a loyal customer. Looking forward to my next car, the 2017 Honda Accord.

My First Car - 1996 Honda Accord
By Robetross - October 19 - 9:57 pmMy 1996 Honda was my first car and still is my one and only car. My parents bought it new in 1996 and gave it to me when I graduated college and started living on my own. It is a very reliable car and if you follow the maintenance schedule and spend the money to maintain it, it will last a long time. I will be hitting 185,000 miles soon and will never sell or trade this car in....too much sentimental value and besides, its just a great commuter car. Gas mileage is above average and it being my only car, I know it will still start every day, despite its age.

Not Bad! - 1996 Honda Accord
By Charles - October 18 - 11:58 pmThis car is FOREVER old and its been really good. Of course, there are some things that have gone wrong seeing that its been around since 1996. It needs a new muffler and the front windows are having issues getting up and down. Such are power windows, though, after close to 14 years! Something actually just went wrong the other day and I cant get it to turn over. Not sure what the problem is yet but its been super STURDY and great up until now. Honda rules. Oh, and it has 180,000 miles. Not bad at all! Im sure after I get the "starting" issue fixed itll have much more life in it. Shes given me faith!

Very Pleased!! - 2007 Honda Accord
By Fase79 - October 18 - 12:43 pmYes indeed very pleased...The drive is smooth with great acceleration surprisingly for a 4 cylinder. Its great on gas (24 city/34 highway). It has a nice subtle and sleek interior metal trimming on the door (black seats/carpet). Overall you get a car with a subtle and sleek design thats economical and will hold its value.

The Edsel of Hondas!! - 2008 Honda Accord
By marymack - October 17 - 2:40 amWorst Accord Design Ever! And this engine is going in the 2009 Pilot??? Ive owned six previous Accords and LOVED them all. Ive have a 2008 Accord V6 EX with the infamous VCM engine. After multiple trips back to the dealer and various "fixes" (wheel balance, turned rotors, computer upgrade), the ride in this car is torture. The drivers seat redesign gives me a back/head ache after only a 10 mile highway drive to work. The VCM engine causes constant, violent shifts, shimmy and vibrations. So glad that I found this forum because the 2008 Accord V6 VCM engine is Hondas best kept, dirty little secret. Lets spread the word and force Honda to acknowledge this engine design nightmare.

Practical and reliable - not bad looking - 2001 Honda Accord
By Madison - October 16 - 12:10 pmThinking of giving it to my daughter now, but this car has been "bullet proof". Did a lot of commuting the first few years and had no problems. Ride a bit stiff and noisy with Firestone tires, but very sure footed. Fit-and-finish from the factory was outstanding, much better than my Toyota. I agree with others that the brakes could have been made a bit better. If you can find a clean one - not necessarily mine - it would be a great used car!
