Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

As a commuter and "driver" this is an enjoyable car. Right combination of practicality, good gas mileage, fun factor, resale value, and comfort. I thoroughly tested the Camry, Passat, and Altima. Camry is way too boring and ugly, Altima good but cheap interior, Passat probably the best but needs premium fuel and has less space.

This car is the closest to a perfect vehicle of the sixteen vehicles Ive owned in the past 37 years, from Corvettes to minivans! Its got style, performance, great gas mileage, reliability, is quicker than my Miata and is even almost as much fun to drive. My wife LOVES this car! Honda really did themselves proud putting together this 4-wheeled beauty. The only problems weve had with this car in the 18 months weve owned it are a hard to turn temperature control knob and a worn out windshield wiper insert. Harbor Honda repaired both extremely quickly and with no charge.

I just got my Accord a month ago and i love it! The car has a sporty look and it has good power, The only thing that Im not too crazy about is that the suspension is hard, I can feel every bump on the road, I replaced the stock Michelin Tires for some Sumitomos and it got better, (by the Sumitomos tires handle the road soooo much better than the Michelin) The transmission shifts a little ruff than what Im used to in other cars but when i had a Honda technician do a test drive he said it was normal. Besides this two things I really like the car!!!!!

  • Bad Transmission - 2002 Honda Accord

Always owned Honda, Acura or Toyota due to the quality of the cars. Now I have this 2002 Honda Accord, 4cyl. I am very disappointed. I have 106k miles and the transmission is slipping. I had the major service performed and am told the transmission will need replaced. Honda will do nothing-says that my VIN# does not qualify for the 109k ext. warranty. Obviously, there are several others having the same issue & their VIN doesnt qualify either. Honda obviously has a problem with these cars and is not willing to do anything. Very disappointed. My next car will probably be a Toyota again. Wanted this car to last a long time but Honda is not taking care of the problem as they should.

I recently purchased a 2009 Accord LX-P because of my pleasure with a 2003 Accord I own. I must say the drivers seat for a six footer is the most uncomfortable I have ever used. My back hurts after 15 minutes of driving the vehicle. I will try a seat cushion and hope it helps. I test drove the car before purchasing and did not notice the discomfort. But after driving it more I now notice. It feels like a lumbar support is engaged but the car does not have lumbar support.

  • Performance, reliability, & MPG - 2016 Honda Accord

In June, I purchased my Honda Accord EX-L V6, so far I am loving everything about the redesigned Accord. I feel this is a definite upgrade from the 2013 Subaru Outback Premium that I previously drove. The engine is responsive and quite compared to the Subaru’s 4 cylinder with CVT. I do enjoy driving the car in all three modes (Eco, normal, and sport) and have noticed the Eco MPG increase during normal driving. The cabin noise is much quieter than the Subaru at freeway/city speeds. I am currently around the same combined (City/ highway) MPG with the Honda that I was obtaining with the Outback. My only issue so far, is the glitchy android auto. I do notice that when selecting the incoming text message there are long delays before android auto reads out the text message. Also, when attempting to create a text message through the audio prompts there is another long delay. As for the radio, I do not miss any knobs on the face of the radio. I tend to use the volume adjustment on the steering wheel the majority of the time. Overall very pleased with the Accord EX-l V6…

Fuel Efficiency is great, very reliable, runs like and better than its European competition and you pay $10k less. Roomy back seats, passengers have said they feel like their riding on a cloud due to the smooth ride.

I spend six to eight hours per day in my car. I bought the Accord LX V6 because of the reliability ratings and fuel efficiency. Was I ever surprised at the performance! The V6 has plenty of zip, and responds well even at interstate speeds. The 17" wheels give it a very sporty appearance. The design is solid, and the ride comfortable. I strongly recommend the Accord! The performance, value, and features are the best on the market.

We had a great experience both with the car and our dealership. We had visited 4 other dealers, but the professionalism and friendliness was not on par with the Honda Dealer. We found an outstanding certified Honda Accord that fit our budget.
