Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • I am glad to have this car - 2004 Honda Accord

I love this car. It is luxury, sporty and fun all in one. I feel, safe and comfortable driving it. The car drives smooth, it is so smooth that I really have to pay attention to my speed limit, I dont realize that I am going as fast as I am. I bought the 4 cylinder, because I was actually afraid of the V6. When my friend drove the car, he thought it was a V6. I do not regret buying this car at all. I feel good and classy, even when driving next to a Benz. I love the new body of the Accord. Honda has done it again.

  • Reliable and maybe dull? - 2004 Honda Accord

A good car, but hardly innovative. I wish I had opted for a little more luxury for some more dollars...BMW, Audi?

  • Great Redesign - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

I see now Honda has gone to the DOHC engine something that Toyota has had for years and atleast for me was the stumbling point on the Honda for me..Toyota always won. But now its hard to beat for the money.. If Honda stays aggressive they will leave Toyota in the dust

  • Excellent Vehicle - 2004 Honda Accord

We have owned this Honda for almost one year and have been very pleased with the performance and reliability. The fuel economy is great and the performance is excellent. We would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone.

  • Satisfied with reservations - 2004 Honda Accord

I bought my 2004 Accord EX V6 after six enjoyable years with my 1998 Accord EX V6. Although the 2004 model has a number of improvements over the 1998, I am concerned that the reliability slipped. My 2004 Accord had a transmission pressure leak which caused the transmission to slip after two weeks in service (500 miles) and required towing to the dealer. It was fixed in two days and I had no problem since. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

  • Transmission problems - 2001 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my third Honda - the others were reliable and I kept them serviced so they would last and they did. Except this one. The transmission is bad and needs to be replaced. The dealer wont replace it under the extended warranty of 7 years and 9 months (I dont drive a lot) but Im still under the 109,000 mile warranty - its whichever occurs first. I always trusted Hondas reputation for being a car that lasted a long time without major repairs until very high miles. This is the last Honda Ill ever buy. In my opinion Honda is slipping in quality.

  • Transmission went out at 100k - 2000 Honda Accord
    By -

I Loved this car until at 100k or so transmission started slipping. Due to the design of these years I was advised not to change fluid- big mistake. Manual should have suggested in severe driving conditions like NYC stop and go, change fluid every 12k. Maybe it would have helped maybe not but I decided to cash in at a paltry $1400 and try a Subaru. I miss the Honda am stressed thinking that if I bought another one (could only afford up to a 2002) the same thing could happen again. Honda should have covered warranty 125k miles and no year finality.

  • my 2nd Accord EX-V6 - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my second Accord EX-V6 in less than 10 months. Of course, it was the first Accords quality led me into getting the second one. Comparing the price I paid--around $400 more than my 05. I have to say this is a GOOD deal, VSA, 17" wheel, better retuned suspension/less road noise, new tail design... Am I totally happy with the new one? Not quite! The first day got it home, only one hour after driving it home (35 miles on highway), it dies, will not start. Temp is almost 80 degrees, not living at high altitude area, unknown reason... I was so frustrated that I need to call for tow truck at the first day of ownership! It was solved with "flooding" solution.

  • A great Car for Sure! - 1999 Honda Accord

I bought this car new. It ia fun to drive and has never given me any problems what-so-ever!

  • Glad I bought one - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

My wife and I traded her 2001 BMW 330ci for the 2005 Honda Accord Coupe. Coming from a BMW we knew we had to max the new car out so it has everything except the 17 inch wheel option. The cars build and fit are perfect. The doors, windows, and sun roof all close solidly, giving a feel of quality. The cabin provides a quieter ride than the BMW did, which was one of the things we wanted to improve. The ride is smooth and sure. We felt it was considerably better than the Toyota Solara. There are very few things you can add as options on the Honda where Toyota will tack on a hundred dollars or so for options. The V-6 is strong and the 5-speed auto shifts seamlessless.
