Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Nice EX V-6 Coupe - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought my EX-V6 coupe about six months ago and do not regret my decision. Have owned two Hondas previously, a 1993 and a 2001, both four cylinders. You can really tell the difference in the V6, much smoother at idle, much quieter, and easier to go around town. Get about 25 on the highway and about 20 in the city. The interior is very nicely laid out, everything is very clear and easy to reach. The auto climate control, sunroof, and leather sport seats add a lot of comfort. The trunk is large enough for many golf bags. The exterior is very nice looking as well, especially with the spoiler and exhaust tips. Just need some fogs. All I need is some better tires, way too loud.

  • Exceeds Expectations - 2008 Honda Accord

For 22 years I have said to myself, "I really ought to buy an Accord", but instead I have spent my time driving expensive European cars. Great to drive, but expensive to purchase and maintain. Well, the 2008 Accord pushed me over the edge. Not only is it well made and enjoyable to drive, it actually compares to much more expensive cars. The doors make that German car "thunk" when you close them. The suspension feels sophisticated and is smooth on the open road, handles bumps without harshness, and easily handles canyon curves. The interior is first rate. The nav system is impressive. The stereo sounds great. The car is quiet. It even gets great mileage with the V6. There is lots of room.

  • Considered for a Long Time - 2003 Honda Accord

Was torn between an Accord and used Audi A6. I love the A6 styling but was concerned about the reliability despite Audis excellent "Certified" program. But, when I drove an A6 and V6 EX back to back I felt the EX is only about 10% behind the A6 in terms of satisfaction. And when I weighed in the known reliability (I have a 1985 Accord LX with 256,000 miles on it) I simply couldnt justify buying the Audi. The fit, finish, comfort and power of the 03 Accord are great. But, I HATE the styling. If it werent for the fact that I forget about it when Im behind the wheel because the driving experience is so nice, I never would have bought it. Its that ugly!

  • Honda Accord vs Nissan Altima - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I finally decided to test drive a Honda even though it has the simpliest styling on the planet. Everything about this test drive was PERFECT. The car accelerates well. It has all the features you want on a car. It is a nice car. The only problem is that it is not a HOT car. The Altima is hot but its features dont compare to the Accord. I definitely would choose the Accord over the Altima. The complaints about the Altima are brutal.

  • What a Difference !! - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I just turned in my 2000 Acura Integra LX (Lease was up). What a difference in the ride, Its like day & night. Sooo much smoother. I bought the car Feb 19, 2003 and I really love the car. The body style is fantastic. I recommend that when you get the car put a spoiler on the trunk (it dresses the car up a lot) & a wind deflecter for the moonroof (it cuts down on the in-coming wind noise big time)

  • Impressed first time Honda owner - 2003 Honda Accord

Weve had our Accord EX for 2 weeks now. We went for a road trip through the Rockie mountains and even drove on unimproved dirt hi-ways. The car is extemely tight, no annoying noises while driving the rough roads, cd changer didnt skip a beat and the car road more smoothly than I anticipated after reading several complaints about the rough ride.We averaged 27.8 MPG on our 300 mile trip that weekend, cant wait to see what regular Hi-way driving gives us. Theres little road noise, even with the sunroof down. The navigation system is worth the money. I was suprised at how much information is at the tip of your fingers. Honda has done a great job here.

  • Going Strong - 2004 Honda Accord

Best car Ive owned... period. Bought new, now has 96,000 miles and all Ive done is change tires, put in a new battery, change oil and filter regularly, and install a new set of brakes. Still feels tight and still fun to drive I have to remind myself how many miles Ive put on it. Mileage is good: 32-34 on the highway, 22-24 around town. Very practical: Ive carried 8 2x4s inside!

this car will always start and be there when you need it. But the stlying has stayed the same for some years now, and its getting dull very fast.

  • The Perfect Balance - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Although not the fastest, most luxurious, or technologically advanced in the very competitive mid-size sedan segment, the Accord strikes the perfect balance of sport, comfort and value, creating a vehicle that feels and acts like a much pricier machine. Indeed, the hi-revving engine, tight suspension and precise steering have almost a Bavarian feel to it.

  • 2000 4dr EX - 2000 Honda Accord

I bought this car new with high hopes of Honda quality. Unfortunately, I am at 160K and on my 3rd transmission. The first died at 95K and was replaced under warranty. The second died at 135K. Honda did contribute towards the trany and it only cost me $500. Otherwise the car has been pretty good. Other than the transmission, I have only had to replace my starter. Some interior dash lights are starting to die, but it is 10yrs old. The size of the trunk is huge and the car is relatively comfortable and has no problem rolling 80mph on the highway. So in short, I am happy, but expected better reliability from Honda
