Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • May be my last Honda - 2014 Honda Accord

I bought my 2014 Honda Accord EX-L used with 59,000 miles on it on 2/26/17. Shortly after I purchased it the back up cam started freezing and or clacking out once a week. I would put the car in park, shut it off and restart and it would work, up until last week when it went black for good and hasnt went back. Now all I see are the yellow and orange lines. Im hearing this is a big issue that new accord owners are having with the back up cam but when I called Honda, they said there is nothing they can do to help. Im at my wits end, has anyone had any luck?

  • Had to say goodbye, so sad - 1993 Honda Accord

This was my husbands car, well on 12/18/09 a budget rental truck slammed into the pass. side. She had 209k and NO signs of breakage coming soon. We drove away straight as an arrow, but it would cost more to fix, believe me we thought about it. THIS IS THE MOST RELIABLE CAR EVER!! I personally own a 91 accord wagon, had it for 12 yrs. she always starts, I have the oldest car at work, but it always gets me there. We were planning on giving it to our 15 yr. old son, nothing more important then knowing your child has a reliable car to get them home. But we decided to part it out and say good bye to the work horse. Definitely will always own Hondas.

  • noisy, uncomfortable overpriced ride - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

Had the car 8 months. The title tells most of it. The car rides like an empty 2 ton truck with similar comfort. It is so noisy at cruising speed the xm music largely worthless & not worth the money. For $30,000. I feel Ive be had. The gas mileage far below ad claims. Its being replaced ASAP

  • Honda - 2000 Honda Accord

I bought this car new and have been driving it ever since. When I had 250,000 KM on it I was told I needed a new transmission because it shifted hard and I mean hard it jolted the car and everything in it. I did some research and found that a solenoid on the transmission was to blame so I took it off and cleaned it and it fixed the problem. I havent really done anything to this car but maintenance. I now have 570,000 KM (354,200 miles). Im looking to replace it. This is my 3rd Honda and I have had great success with them and would recommend them to anyone. The car hasnt even started to rust in these cold snowy Canadian winter - thats something to say.

  • Just Out Gas In It!!! - 1998 Honda Accord
    By -

Drove this car out of the show room in 1998. Besides for regular maintenance, I have only replaced the struts and catalytic converter. It still has original parts on the rest of the car. By far the most dependable car I have ever owned. It just went over 200,000. I am going to drive it until the wheels come off.

  • Perfect? No, but awfully good! - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

Incredible value, motor & tranny rock. Economy oriented Michelins are LOUD on grooved concrete, etc. Bumps transmitted clearly through seat - want soft, cushy ride? Camrys your car. XM will transform your roadtripping experience. Tire size could be bigger w/ more aggressive rubber. Stealership accessories a ripoff. Overall - love it. My third Accord (nough said).

  • An All Around Great Car - 2004 Honda Accord

Honda automobiles are constantly in the top ten and the 2004 Accord 6 cyl Accord EX is one of the reasons why. I saved thousands of dollars after I found a car buying advice article called Beat The Dealer. This automobile is fast, quiet, wonderfully built, great gas mileage (over 30 MPG highway and its not even broken in yet). It handles very well and is great fun to drive. The leather seats are of better quality than in my Acura. This is the way cars are supposed to be built and perform. At under $24,000 (negotiated price), this car rivals luxury cars costing much, much more.

  • Better than my old accord in every way - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my second honda accord. My first was a 2001 4 dr 4 cyl. My complaints about that car were limited. Inadequate brakes and not enough power with the auto trans. This new honda takes care of all my gripes. The performance is very good for a 28k car. The nav/cd/xm stereo is very user friendly and down right fun to play with. My only complaint about this car is that the stiff underpinnings bring out the rattles in the interior trim.

  • Great until trans went - 2000 Honda Accord
    By -

We are the original owners of the Accord SE. Its been remarkably reliable for ten years. After 85k, the trans needs to be replaced. I dont want to put the $ in it but dont want to buy a new car either. Its disappointing to have the transmission go. We have meticulously maintained this car.
