Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Accord SE - Should have lasted longer ( - 2000 Honda Accord
By aliceBettyAnna - January 5 - 6:11 pmAt 86,000 miles the transmission went on my 4 cylinder What a major disappointment. Could have gotten it fixed but it seemed to much $ to put into a ten year old car. Really sad and mad to see that Honda Accords have documented transmission problems. It was fun and reliable until then. Too mad at Honda to buy another one. Went Nissan Altima this time and am loving it.

Its ok, but... - 2007 Honda Accord
By Rolf - January 4 - 9:54 amWent for a basic cheap commuting car, but hwy mileage ave is only 25--My 6 cyl Toyota gets 21. Seats not comfortable for long trips over 1 hr. Back seat riders get slung around and get car sick, ride is rough & right over wheels. Paint quality on body is cheap. After 2 yrs the car looks beat up! Having all controls on left side of driver is poor--passengers cannot adjust sunroof and driver has to do it all-- and drive! Too many things for the driver to fiddle with (radio, cruise, roof) while concentration should be on driving. Agree with others, car needs auto headlights. Odd random interior noises - wind, rattles. Rear pass window motor came broken, fixed in warranty Prefer Camry

Good Car - 1992 Honda Accord
By redone - January 3 - 12:44 pmThis has been a great car, got it in 1997 for my sixteenth birthday. It had around 40000 miles. Now thirteen years later and with 265000 its still running strong. Ive maintained it pretty well. Any car though as time passes has to have things replaced. Have put in a few radiators, window motors, stereo system, one clutch and clutch system, oil sending pump, etc... The clearcoat has peeled off on the roof and in a few other areas. Going to repaint it soon. No rust though in Alabama. I did buy a weekend sports car, an s2000. I commute to work in the accord and look forward to it everyday. Sometimes I think about upgrading to a new one but I grew up in this car and cant bear to see it go.

Lives up to her name-Grace - 1996 Honda Accord
By fajenkins - January 3 - 8:23 amWhen i test drove the car, I loved the pick up and go. because of her age, Im having the original parts give out, but i have an awesome mechanical team that will give me a fair deal and fix her/maintain her one time and well. (shes 13 years old). My mom states in two years I should retire my car and get a newer one,if I have the money then, I will if not, Ill keep this one going until she cant go anymore.

25mpg in town, 38mpg hwy - 1 complaint - 2006 Honda Accord
By Rob P - January 2 - 11:25 amI have owned more than 10 Honda/Acuras over 30+ years. My 2006 Accord is way up as #1 or #2. My 1996 Accord has 215k and still sings. I am really surprised @ the power & MPG combo from my 2006. I AVERAGE 25mpg around town consistently with my 2.4 (4-cy)2006. I average 34 MPG on the highway, and I drive ~ 75-80mph on cruise. Hwy varies ~ 33mpg(lowest)-38mpg(highest). Honda Engineering, Quality, and made in U.S.A.!!

Very reliable - 2003 Honda Accord
By Igor Tsapenko - January 1 - 6:32 pmI bought this being 5y.o. at 75K mi.I own it for 2 years now with 100Kmi. Only very minor problems. Recently the light inside wont come on when doors open. Seems to be loose wire contact. Very pleasant to drive. Im glad I didnt read this review before I bought it. I live in Las Vegas, so perhaps the car lasts longer in the mild climate.

When will it stop? - 1996 Honda Accord
By Skivs - January 1 - 5:11 pmI bought this Honda used three years ago from a traveling salesman with 250,000 miles on the clock for a shade under $3,000 and all I have to say is I will own a Honda for the rest of my life! I now have @305,000 mi. on it now and it still runs better than some new cars. Its quick, handles excellently, and keeps going , and going etc. So far just gas and oil and new pads and rotors,(Note to the do it yourselfer, front rotor removal requires expensive specialty tool or complete disassemble of front suspension, bring your patience and band-aids)and an alternator. This thing is just bulletproof. I also drive a newer Chevy Silverado which pales in comparison in reliability. Long live Honda!!!

Excellent value - 2008 Honda Accord
By Ismael - December 30 - 12:40 amI got this car mid-April to replace my gas guzzling F-150 and havent looked back since. Great amount of interior space, excellent design, the 190 hp engine takes off faster that I could have possibly hoped for (who needs a V6?), and the features that come standard with the EX are everything I could have hoped for. Fun to drive, safe, reliable, and comfortable. What more could you ask for?

The Best Value on the Road - 2004 Honda Accord
By denvrfan - December 29 - 2:00 amHonda really did their homework improving the current generation of Accord. Build quality is excellent, materials unsurpassed for a sub-$30000 car. Great content for the $$. Plenty of power, all of the creature comforts including the best seats available in an affordable family sedan. Stereo has been improved by a wide margin over the previous generation. Bravo to Honda for marketing to the future by making XM Satellite radio standard on the EX V6. Could not be happier with this car!

Very Good, But Improvements Needed - 2004 Honda Accord
By AusTex Cliff - December 29 - 2:00 amIm 6-1 and I have good leg room. This is the best car Ive ever owned and my first Honda. The navigation system helped me get out of a confusing sea of unexpected detours during a massive traffic jam in an unfamiliar major city recently by letting me view a street map and suggesting alternative routes. Will definitely pay for a XM subscription when the three-month free trial ends. The sound system is great. Caution: Using a metalic rear-window tint may make the navigation system go screwy, but no problems with my after-market dark rear window tint . Annoying rattle inside, but havent had a chance to take it back to the dealer.
