Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Best Car Ever! - 1997 Honda Accord
By Jones - February 15 - 12:35 amI originally had a 1989 Ford Mustang GT and had traded it for my 97 Accord EX V6. Have to say honestly was my best decision ever! I have ever option available, leather, power seats, power windows and locks, steering wheel controls, etc. Only issue I have had was replaced a cracked radiator but come on it has 156k miles for god sake! The window motors are somewhat slow but i manage, the a/c isnt great but it keeps me cool. Although my C/E Light is on I have no had any performance issues, it starts right up on first turn I think its just because the Tach stopped working. Although I am having a new transmission installed now but that is because the car was lowered and i bottomed out.

90 Honda Accord - 1990 Honda Accord
By Naomi - February 13 - 5:47 pmWe purchased this car back in March of 2004. It has been very reliable up until last year. Eventually sold it at 190,000 miles to someone who likes to fix old cars up, but it was still running ok when sold. I was very happy with this car when I had it.

best family car Ive ever owned - 2003 Honda Accord
By Dave C. - February 13 - 10:44 amIve had my 2003 Accord nearly 7 years and it is by far the best family car Ive ever owned (Ive had many). I have *never* had a problem with it -- just regular maintenance. The design is a good balance of power, fuel economy, comfort. A little boring to drive compared to my sports coupe, but thats because its a family sedan, no fault of its own

Honda Accord EXV6 Sedan - 1998 Honda Accord
By Honda Fan - February 10 - 9:01 pmIts been a great car for us. Bought the car in 2000 with 24k miles. It has 153,000 now. V6 is fun to drive. Feels like a sports car. Only trouble is intake manifold clogging causing check engine light to keep coming on. There has been Honda service bulletins on this. Front tires seem to wear fast. Michelins are expensive to replace. Plan on keeping this car till it is to expensive to fix. I heard 1998-2002 Honda Accords had problems with their transmissions. Weve had good luck here.

Rocket Coupe - 2004 Honda Accord
By Brandy - February 9 - 10:51 pmI bought this car new and have had it for 5 years now and mainly do city commuting. I love my car---feel like I am sitting in a cockpit when flying down the freeway. Car has startling zip when punching the gas pedal can easily overtake on freeway. Routine maintenance is all I have had to do on this car. I rarely use the back seats. Great trunk space. I can easily shop Costco and Lowes and have carried home 6+ lumber by flipping down seats. My dad calls it my "origami car".

bad brakes - 2009 Honda Accord
By f - February 7 - 12:17 pmhave had hondas for 28 years yet my new 2009 am not happy. took car in for 15,000 service and was told rear brakes, front wheel drive car, are shot and need to be replaced. front brakes, which take brunt of braking, are fine. 16,000 miles for new pads and rotors???? never had this before. was told honda has had big problems with this last two years. reliable company cheapening car to prop up profits, never thought honda would do this

Some Issues - 2007 Honda Accord
By Felt32 - February 7 - 7:14 amI really like the look of the older Honda Accords. I am concerned that after I purchased this certified vehicle that a part of the brake stuck, which caused the rear tire to smoke, badly.

Honda = poor engineering - 2009 Honda Accord
By Anjillian - February 5 - 12:38 amI love the aesthetics of this car & it was the main push for the purchase. Big mistake for not doing research on Accord problems because my brakes are worn down & stuck with a $200 bill to replace them. Seriously Honda?! Not even 9000 miles & this is normal? Honda has been very disappointing, and I would still buy Toyota with the recall over this piece of junk scamming their customers money.

How do ya spell reliability? H-O-N-D-A! - 1990 Honda Accord
By Happy Honda Owner - February 4 - 6:54 pmI bought my 1990 Accord about two weeks ago and so far its been nothing short of what Honda stands for: reliability. Only thing that annoys me is it seems to suck up oil? Filled the gas tank and drove from Atlanta to outside Athens and back. 175 miles roundtrip. Fuel gauge was closer to full than it was to halfway when I got back to Atlanta. My next car will be a newer Honda Accord. 189k miles and still going.
