This Year's Model Updates:

Honda takes a bold leap for 2005 with the introduction of the Hybrid Accord. Rather than add a hybrid motor to its four-cylinder, Honda bolts its third-generation IMA system to the Accord's already-potent V6. In one fell swoop the Accord hybrid has become the class leader in fuel economy (30 city, 38 highway) and power (255 horsepower). Other changes for the 2005 Honda Accord this year include new wheel cover designs for the LX and EX trims, a new coin pocket design, illuminated steering wheel controls and improved rear styling in sedans with redesigned taillamps. In addition, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags are now available on all trim levels all the way down to the base DX model.

  • EX V-6 Auto - 2005 Honda Accord

New purchase after looking at coupes and sedans from all the major players. This car really moves with the 240HP V- 6 and its a great compromise with performance, size and cost. With Accord clearance, I paid over a grand less than TMV price for coupe in Boston area. Just wish I could have found a V 6 MT at that price. All in all, a great car for the money.

I love this car! It provides performance without guilt. Great mileage is available and the car tells you how youre doing so that you can adjust your driving style for max. mileage. At the same time, real power and acceleration is available any time you need it. It is comfortable and responsive. I have owned it for almost a year and have encountered no manufacturing problems and have enjoyed every minute Ive spent driving it. I drive 20 miles each way to work every day, half town miles and half interstate miles and average 30 mpg on those trips. Overall average is consistently 26 to 27 mpg -- 25 per cent better than my 95 Accord Wagon (170,000 miles and still going!).

  • My first Honda.......very impressive - 2005 Honda Accord

I was surprised at the price of the vehicle for all the features it has. I thought for a car like this, I was going to pay $30K. Ive always heard about the quality of the car from my friends that own Hondas. I had to go out and buy one for myself to find out. Ive owned it for two weeks and I simply love the car. Driving it is so much fun. Its smooth on the road and quiet. Gas mileage is better than I expected. The interior is roomier than I expected. Overall, this car has exceeded my expectations. Its no wonder there are so many of them out on the road. The resale value is better than most cars out on the market.

  • Trying to bond with my Hybrid Accord - 2005 Honda Accord

I own the Accord hybrid with navigation system because I have no sense of direction. There are a few turns left to be desired with the Navi, but thats not an auto flaw. This is a terrific car, but I have not yet bonded with it, 17 months later, and I dont know why. If I could figure out what other car Id prefer, Id sell this one and buy that one. I often forget to lock the car, not yet accustomed to the electic locks and key

  • AWESOME CAR! - 2005 Honda Accord

It is the smoothest ride! We have owned Hondas for years and this year I think they have just put the icing on the cake as far as a luxury car is concerned. The radio even sounds great! i cant wait to get in my car and go somewhere. Sometimes I just get in the car and drive with no destination in mind.

  • Loooove IT! - 2005 Honda Accord

I love my 2005 Honda Accord. I had the 2003 2 door Accord V-6 and then the 2004 door Accord V-6 and loved driving them all...The price is affordable for the standard features found on the EX- V6 and the quality of my Accords has been great!! With a few added extras (tinted windows etc) it is really a sharp car and is always fun to drive...

  • 8th Honda still going strong - 2005 Honda Accord

I have owned Accords and Civics for the last 16 years.(Also have a 05 Civic SE Coupe) Honda seems to keep getting better and better. This near luxury EX V6 is smooth, quiet and to my suprise, more fuel efficient then both my 99 EX-4 and my 02 EX V6. What a bargain for this kind of performance and luxury.

  • Sweet Ride.... - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive had the new Accord EX-L for about a week. It is one sweet ride. Some reviews have complained about road noise, but its not a problem for me. The car is quick and responsive, escpecially for a 4 cyl. car. The auto tranny is unbelievably smooth. You can hardly tell when it shifts. Handling is great. The interior has a quality feel. I especially love the XM radio that comes with the leather package. One catch is that the front passenger seat does not have a heater in the backrest, just the seat. The brakes on my car are a little touchy, so I will bring it back to the dealer for an adjustment. Other than that, its the perfect car for me.

  • Awesome - 2005 Honda Accord

This has serious power! I was expecting something little better than gutless. Its a hybrid, afterall. It did 124 mph and had plenty left before I felt I needed to slow it down. I got 26 mpg or so for the first 1000 miles. Im now getting in the high 30s and even topped 40 mpg last week. It wasnt cheap - but Hondas have always held great value for me. Ive owned 6 Hondas to date. Highly recommend the Hybrid.
