Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Last 2009 Honda Coupe out there - 2009 Honda Accord

Got the last 2009 Honda EX-L 4cyl Coupe available, but discount was a little over 5700 so could either have high mileage 2010 with much small discount or very low 2009 and 09 made sense to me. Love this car, traded in 2008 EX-L 4dr and this car is very different in a very good way for me. I like handling, styling and gas mileage with another 4 cyl. Performance is fine if I had the 6cyl my mileage would be terrible-too-tempting. Getting 25 with 60/40city driving with very few miles on car. Have gotten used to just putting stuff in trunk since have only two doors to open now.

  • Poor Fitting Rear Pannels - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I pretty much like the car. However It is not as trouble free as it should be. This review is mixed with good and bad. The good, nice styling, nice interior. Reasonable performance even with the 4 Cyl. The bad, had to be trucked to dealer on Monday at 4,500 miles. Got it back on Friday. So far it is working properly, so hopefully the trouble may be in the past. However the fit of the upper rear interior door panels is terrible. They dont fit. And arent even the same on both doors. I was told by the service rep. that they are all like this. Also there is a injection mold mark, hole, in the deck behind the rear seat. Also told they are all like this. Rear brakes are wearing out prematurely.

  • 11 years of pure driving bliss! - 1993 Honda Accord

Honda got it all right with this sweet little machine! This is an amazing little sports sedan in sheeps clothing. The extremely smooth 140 horsepower 16 valve dual overhead cam engine sings when the RPMs get above 3,000 plus and it just keeps on a pulling. The entire design of the car is brilliant as it sits low with a low dash and big glass so the driving position, instrumentation and view out is perfect. The suspension and steering make it a blast to drive especially when tied to the 5 speed manual. The interior is smart and sporty and makes most new cars pale in comparison. I love this car because its the best of all worlds and cost next to nothing to maintain.

  • Winner of a car - 1991 Honda Accord

Bought it new in 1991, Buy tires when they wear out, changed oil and filter approximately every 3K. Routine maintenance done as it need some, big failure was trans computer but found a rebuilt and changed it myself for $175.00.I think it will soon go to my grand daughter.

  • Very sataified customer - 2001 Honda Accord

Owned since new and with 196k miles have only done routine maintenance. Replaced a 1987 Legend with 265k miles just wanted new parts but in ran fine when I sold it. I stay on top of all maintenance items and have replaced the timing belt and alternator but no tranny failure .. always change fluid ever 50k. At nearly 200k the car is still "tight" with no rattles and handles like a sports car rather than a sedan. Cant wait to get my next new one but since its only about 1/2 thru its life it will be a few years. Its not for sale but if it were I hear the resale is very good. I never miss an oil change or other filter changes Im sure this makes a difference on a Honda or any other.

  • Its been fun - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

Overall my car has served me well over the course of 52K miles in 5 or so years. I only had to get new tires (with alignment), 4 new brake pads, and regular oil changes (Free of charge because of promo). My ride is well excellent with only me in the car, but when it comes to 4, the car becomes a little soggy. Overall, its been an honor owning my accord.

  • Simply the Best - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

I have over 40k miles logged and not one problem and only 5 oil changes/services. Not real crazy about the styling but the overall reliability, comfort and worry free driving more than make up for it. Honda simply makes the best cars for the money!!

  • Excellent Car - 1992 Honda Accord

Loved the Car bought at 100,000 miles and drove it for a couple years with no problems, just reg maint. Oil change tune up etc, sold it when I hit 210,000 miles for a newer sport accord. Car driving like brand new when I sold it.

  • Honda engineering not perfect - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

First, I own a 2009 Civic in addition to this car. Honda has a reputation of bullet-proof cars, but this particular model is lacking in several ways. 1st, the remote door control has been defective. Not just my model, its a common complaint and Honda has a SB about fixing it. 2nd, the rear brake design is horribly inefficient. The 08 and 09 models have a bad reputation of wearing out rear pads anywhere after 15k miles. In my case, they wore down to the metal at the 22k mark, but from internet reports most go out before this far. 3rd, this engine seems to consume oil at a faster than normal rate. Dont know why, but its a known problem for these models.
