Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

The Case For A Hybrid - 2007 Honda Accord
By Richard Jepsen - March 20 - 9:28 amUsed car prices have fallen for the Accord Hybrid/HCH making it value priced for the level of refinement. March of 2010 I bought a lease returned NAVI equipped 07 with 2,860 certified accident free miles. It has the best ride due to 16 inch tires and 200 lb increase weight. The battery pack serves as a sound baffle between the trunk and back seat. The electric steering feels more refined and with the smaller tires gives a turning circle of 36 feet for improved maneuverability. Drivability with the V6 is refined yet I get better than 4 cyl FE. I average 34 mpg driving 80% on city freeways filling up with 91RON non ethanol gas.

Very Nice Car - 1991 Honda Accord
By Dillon - March 19 - 9:54 amI bought this car about a week after the transmission in my 93 Mustang went out and I havent had too many problems out of it. It gets great mileage (about 38-40 highway and 30-32 city), its reliable, cheap and easy to maintain and fix, and you can always find parts if you need them. After several months of driving it and putting miles on it (I bought it with 170,000 and now have 184,000) Ive had to do some work on it. I replaced the entire exhaust system, new head gasket, water pump, fuel filter and pump, and tires of course. I need to get a tune up and some new CV joints, but after that, itll be a great car for school next year!

Making The Case For a 07 Accord Hybrid - 2007 Honda Accord
By Rich Jepsen - March 19 - 9:36 amThe reason to purchase a used hybrid Accord is for the near Acura refinement over the EXL V-6. Electric power steering feels refined and adds to the drivability. 200 lbs of increased weight behind the back seat improves ride quality. 16 in tires along with the battery pack compartment serving as a sound barrier lowers noise. Several refined style clues such as the tail lights and mirror side turn signals add to its cache. My mileage is 34 mpg on city interstate/some suburban driving using non-ethanol 91 ROM gas. in march 2010 I bought a 2007, mint HAH/navi with 2800 miles. My cost was 42% of the original sticker price of around $33,000. The depreciated price makes the car a value.

Very Dependable and Durable - 1998 Honda Accord
By AccordFever - March 18 - 4:48 pmI bought this car June 2007 with 153,000 miles. I was nervous buying a car with this many miles but the engine ran so smoothly a went ahead and bought it. Ive used this car to drive to school and to deliver pizza in for the last 2 3/4 years and is now has 237,000 miles. I personally love this car and there are a lot of vehicles i wouldnt trade for it if they only had 70,000 miles. Rides very smoothly and still feels athletic with the VTEC V6. Everyone thinks its a piece of junk because its plagued with the peeling paint but i just laugh it off when their nice and shiny cars break down. Even with the high mileage its still the best car Ive owned.

Safety in a crash - 2006 Honda Accord
By judy Sutter - March 18 - 4:14 pmI appreciated my 2006 Honda accord Ex 4 cyl. for its comfort and fuel economy-consistently 30 mpg- better on the highway, but the best part was when I was in a serious front end collision in which the front crumpled and absorbed the impact and the airbag did the rest-I was fine. I recommend the Honda accord! I now drive a 2007 of the same model.

Modern classic - 1995 Honda Accord
By jim n - March 17 - 7:15 pmBought my Honda in 2009 with 125K miles. For piece of mind I had the timing belt service done. No worries since. I get 30 mpg highway and its very comfortable. The styling on these cars still looks up to date and I`m surprised how many of these 15 year old cars I still see on the road. There is a fair amount of road noise and the AC is marginal. Overall if you get one that has been taken care of you can`t go wrong.

Solid car with significant shortcomings - 2007 Honda Accord
By CZ - March 17 - 9:58 amI have purchased this car a certified used car from a dealership in Brooklyn, NY with 27k miles on it. Overall it is a very good car with excellent driving characteristics. Handling and power are great. Interior ergonomics and style is very simple and elegant. Almost Teutonic, perfect for my taste. Fit and finish is also among the positive features. The dealership concealed the fact that the torque converter was previously replaced under recall, it seems it wasnt installed properly and is the main cause behind mediocre mileage (15 mpg city). The cars transmission is also of inferior quality, it hesitates and jerks when engaging 2nd and 3rd gear. Quality of shifting decreases with temperature

Excellent Investment - 2007 Honda Accord
By bruce - March 16 - 11:52 amThis is my 3rd Honda and I have not been disappointed at all. Other than just oil changes and tire rotation this vehicle has never let me down. I feel very safe with my family in this car. My wife takes coumadin that thins the blood and she bleeds very easily. I trust the safety of this car.

Good car - 2008 Honda Accord
By BELLA275 - March 15 - 8:31 pmThis is my first Accord, after trading in a Civic. I actually love the car, despite the reviews. I have to admit, I had my rear brakes replaced. My car was making a weird noise and when i took it to the dealer, I was told that the brakes have sensors. The dealer did not charge me a penny. I guess because they know that there is a brake problem. They told me that models 2008-2010 get free rear brakes for three years. So to those who own this car, make sure you are offered the same deal.

never again - 2008 Honda Accord
By Richard - March 15 - 8:17 pmdriving 200 miles round trip to work and needing a car rated with a high mpg i bought the coupe. although it looked sharp the seats were horrible. everyday i would get out of the car with a terrible backache. my wife hated to ride in my car because of it making her back hurt. this was my first and LAST Honda. ive always had Pontiac Bonnibelles and NEVER had a minutes problem. but with Pontiacs longer being in production, Ive traded this coupe in for the new 2011 Hyundai Sonata. it is SO much more comfortable and i dont dread driving to work. never had any problems other than the seats being uncomfortable. Good luck to those of you who bought this car but ill never own another honda.
