Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Think I am going to Hyundai - 2006 Honda Accord

I bought my Accord new in 2007. The car went into the dealership to have rear driver door adjusted due to air & water leak and also a faulty center console door shortly after the purchase. Both were repaired & are fine now. The car has not given me any other mechanical problems. Just the normals replaced battery, tires, and brakes. Approaching 100k so not sure how much longer I will keep this car for. Even though I like the styling of the latest Accords, there seems to be the same cheap interior Honda is & has been known for. I will probably switch over to Hyundai since theyve come a long ways & are winning awards these days!

  • My first & last Honda - 2002 Honda Accord

Bought this car when gas prices went sky high & needed to get out from under my SUV. Seemed like a solid investment, clean carfax, only 55k miles. Only had to do minor stuff to it for the first 20k (brakes, tires, etc). Then the CEL came on and I started to smell gas around 79k miles, took it to a mechanic & car leaking gas, quoted $900 on the low end/$1500 high to fix. No dealership would take it as a trade because they couldnt transport it. Paid to fix it & replaced both wheel bearings, drove it another 2k and the transmission failed. Quoted $2k on the low end/$3500 high, paid to fix it and the CEL came back on, needs new evap canister & TCS keeps kicking on. Id never buy another Honda.

  • Quality as a luxury car - 2008 Honda Accord

Driving my Accord v6 for almost two years I can tell you what powerful and very comfortable is this car. I really like the interior, looks like a luxury car to me.

Cons: the VCM is annoying wished we were able to turn it off some road noise but tolerable Pros: stylish, full of options, decent gas mileage

  • Love this car - 1998 Honda Accord

We are getting ready to pass down my 1998 Honda Accord 4 door LX to my 17yr old son. This car has been very reliable and still looks great. Havent had any problems and only needed routine maintenance. We are probably going to be replacing it with a new Civic Coupe. Going to miss my Accord but feel good about passing this on to my son because I have a piece of mind that he will be driving a very reliable car.

  • Brake, remote, drivers window,cd player - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my first Honda i bought and i think is the last one. Have had all kind of problems with it, starting with the drivers window too noisy, rear brakes worn too fast , one of the remotes was out in 6 months, mechanical problem with the CD player. you name it. Never Accord again, and never on Oakville Honda again, very poor service.

  • Utility vehicle after all - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car brand new. My experience with this vehicle has been as follows - the engine & transmission provide a smooth, powerful and reliable ride. The suspension is awful though - you can feel even the slightest imperfections on the road. The build quality and sound insulation is pathetic - too much road- noise and constant rattling and squeaking from the doors and windows is annoying

  • Decent car with issues - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

The car looks nice and handles very well. The bluetooth, navigation, voice recognition work great! There have been rattles with the glove box, steering wheel, passenger front seat, gear shift lever, inside roof liner. These have been fixed pretty much by the dealer without cost. The ride is a bit noisy for a car of this price, but not too bad. A car like this should have a USB input, not just an auxiliary input. Stop with the spring loaded covers on the aux port, and power ports! Makes it difficult to operate with one hand!! Move the aux/power input from the center console. Impossible to access/plug-in while driving with only one hand!! Climate control works well. Roomy car.

  • Brakes--be careful - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Great car except the rear brakes. The front brakes last 3 to 4 times longer than the rear. That never happens, the front disc always wear out first. Honda design flaw and the wont admit they have a problem.
