This Year's Model Updates:

Once again, Honda's best-selling model is redesigned. Changes for 1994 make the vehicle more competitive with its midsize rival, the Ford Taurus. Shorter and wider than the previous-generation Accord, the 1994 model is available in three trim levels. Antilock brakes are standard on the EX and are finally available on the LX and DX. New engines across the board improve horsepower figures for all Accords.

I am 16 and this is my first car. I absolutely love it. It has 129,000 miles on its V6 engine, but still rides and drives like new. Very good car for the money, no rattles or squeaks, still looks good for a 10 year old car. Has excellent power, many optional features

After 150,000 miles, still no major service items or irksome small repairs. Standard transmission makes a real difference in reliability and drivability. Still on first clutch, but its time. No squeaks, no runs, no drips, no errors. lucky me?

This car just keeps rolling along with problems, without fuss. Though Ill probably but an Acura TL later this year, its not b/c Im having mechanical issues with this car. Reliability has been and continues to be outstanding. The only non-scheduled maintenance repairs Ive needed have been to replace the power antenna, the driver-side power lock motor, and the exhaust (at 9 yrs in the Northeast).

Ive had my Accord since Dec 1993 with only 2 miles on it when I bought it. It is a very reliable car with superb fuel economy. I like that it has 6 speakers.

in the first 3 years, we had minor cosmetic problems, like door handle trim,(replaced many times-factory recall)-spent alot of time at dealers, glove box retainers broken, brake lights relaced every 6 mo. air conditioner smells after turning off and running just air major problems at 46000 mi- replace water pump!! new water pump now has 140000 miles!!!!!!!!!!replace slave cylinder! steering wheel deteriorated. at 90000 mi (5 yr) replace broken plastic radiator and again at 186000 (12/2003) new struts and shocks at 170000. very unhappy about these problems, but overall, 10 years, satisfied.

This is the best car I have ever owned. I am currently looking to buy another as I just totalled my EX Wagon on the highway in a snowstorm. I just purchased the car 6 months ago, had no problems whatsoever, and will definitely buy another one.

Reasonable car to own. Fair value overall. Disappointed with the front drivers seat - poor back support. Fair performance for a 4 cyl. Adequate gas milage (22 - 25 on average). Terrible rust spot developed on the passenger-side rear, just above and slightly in front of the wheel-well (sp?).

A Fun Car To Drive. Very Low Maint. A Good Good Value For Your Dollar.

  • Love-hate relationship - 1994 Honda Accord

I bought my accord new and have put over 200,000 miles on it since college. It has been extremely reliable with a very concerning exception. The lower ball joint in front end has failed 3 times causing the wheel to disengage and the car to skid off the road in a shower of sparks. It has happened on both the right and left front ends. Honda corp and the various mechanics involved couldnt pinpoint a cause. I have never abused the car and I am the only driver. Other than that, I havent replaced anything other than tires, batteries, brakes, and pipes. It has its original clutch!
