Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Great car very bad gas mileage - 2005 Honda Accord
By ningamomx3 - April 29 - 4:24 amSo far its been a great car. Plenty of room. No major problems. Just recently the tires starting making a roaring sound. But over all a very nice riding car. Went to SC in it right after we purchased. Very nice ride. Not loving the gas mileage. Ever since I have had the car, I get 24 mpg. I think it being a Honda it should get way better then that.

Best car Ill ever own - 1993 Honda Accord
By eric - April 29 - 12:02 amRock solid, bullet proof reliability! 227,000 miles and counting, I drive it every day, and love it every day. Original clutch, exhaust, interior perfect, nothing ever breaks on this car (the left headlamp bulb was installed at the factory, and is still there after 17 years!). Not true, the power antenna breaks due to the high heat in Arizona, but Ill forgive this wonderful gem of a car. I cannot praise Honda enough for this car and cant wait till they introduce another one like it. After all, it has to wear out someday, doesnt it?

Workhorse - 2007 Honda Accord
By clfreemn - April 28 - 10:57 pmI have been driving in sales covering a 400+mile radius since 1996. When the company went off leases and to Runzheimer, I had to find something reliable, with good resale. This car is incredible. It just turned 3 in February. 206k miles now, 150k before needing brake pads, First tires lasted over 65k, second set almost 100k. Excellent fuel mileage. No rattles, squeaks, or seal noise. Tight. Dealership maintained and the only thing other than regular maintenance was a $35 a/c compressor relay. Would like 0 road noise, but this car is quiet enough for cell conversations with a headset. All-in-all the best car for field sales I have found. Dealership (Meyer Honda) is also first- rate.

The car has been okay so far. - 2008 Honda Accord
By Hush Mohai - April 27 - 5:51 pmEverything seems to work fine so far with about 21,000 miles. Except the automatic window button is broken very easily and now just need replacement of the broken hinge that holds the plastic button. Also, the brake squeals at times which has become more frequent and annoying since last week. I am not recommending friends to buy this sedan after I have learned that more newer models will be able to match and outperform this Honda. For example, Sonata will out mpg this Honda. Mazda6 will out corner and out accelerate this Honda. I wish I knew more about mid- size (or more correctly full-size) sedans before buying this Honda. However, so far it is okay.

Rear Brake Burn out - 2009 Honda Accord
By JMAC - April 26 - 4:28 pmWow poor design!! I have had 5 Hondas none had the rear brakes burn out under 20,000 miles. I would not buy another and advise no one else too until Honda owns up and fixes the braking problem. The sqealing the brakes make do not go away after pads are changed In fact my case Manager from Honda America (Terri) was her name said they will do that for the life of my car. I told her that is insane I have never experienced this from honda that they are going down the same road as toyota it sounds like. So be-ware beware If you buy this car expect every 16,000 to 23,000 you will need a brake job...Very dissapointed with Honda :(

Great Car So Far - 2008 Honda Accord
By Ed - April 23 - 12:49 pmWe bought the EX-L Coupe in May 2008, our first Honda. We purchased this car for its sporty looks and Hondas reputation for quality and I must say so far we havent been disappointed. At nearly 34K miles in less than two years we have not had the car to the dealer for anything, period. So far weve had no issues whatsoever including not having had any issues with the rear brakes that a lot of folks have had. Read somewhere that is as much an issue with the front/rear braking ratio, if you have that issue get that checked. 25 mpg general use, 31 mpg highway on long trips. Im fairly tall at 63" and I have plenty of leg room, no room or comfort issues at all.

Still satisfied - 2008 Honda Accord
By 08Owner - April 22 - 12:06 pmWell, I just went over the two year mark in terms of ownership and all that I can say is that I am still a satisfied Honda owner. I have over 42,000 miles on the car (mostly highway) and have had no major repairs. I have heard a lot of talk about the brake issue and at my last oil change the first inklings that it will bite were felt. It is not really the best car in the snow (Ohio) with the wide tires. It handles amazingly in all other conditions, however. The V6 is not the peppiest out there, but it aint bad. It is very roomy, to the point that I think it might be a little too big for my liking. Gas mileage is great. In the summer I average around 27 mpg, mostly highway.

First Honda, Definitely Not The Last! - 2000 Honda Accord
By Emma - April 22 - 8:56 amI got this car as a senior in high school with 85,000 miles. I have never had any mechanical problems - only routine maintenance. This has been the best car Ive ever owned and still runs very smoothly with 141,000 miles. I would recommend Honda to anyone - you will get a car that will last well over 100,000 miles. The gas mileage is still good with a V6 - Im willing to trade power for a few more dollars at the pump.

Nice big trunk for grocery shopping. Overall couldnt be happier to own such a strong and dependable car. Get one and you will be very pleased on how well this vehicle drives. It now has 146,000 and never any problems.
