Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • 4th Honda, Seems Just Average Now - 2010 Honda Accord

My 4th Honda. Still a good car but not much better than fusion, malibu, sonata. Road noise IS noticeable. Less so with v6 b/c of extra sound insulation on v6 models but still too loud. I paid $500 for an aftermarket sound proof kit for the trunk. Big difference. VCM is not transparent but not intrusive, just drive the car and forget it. Seats are comfy in leather, not so much in cloth. Buttons on dash, not a problem. Isnt that part of the fun of a new car? Learning where everything is? Averaging 22-23 mpg in mixed driving. Handling is great, visibility is good.

  • What can go wrong, will go wrong - 2009 Honda Accord

The brakes have squeaked since day one and have been replaced three times. The dashboard warning lights come on when going through the car wash. Covered the first two times by warranty and had to paid $50 the third time. Told the pressure from the drying system is too powerful and shakes the vehicle too much. Not kidding! Engine light came on and they blamed a non-factory air filter. Came on the next day and they told me their service bulletin said clean with air pressure. Really? Now the panel holding the fuses has become corroded and needs replaced - $1,500. No accountability from Honda NA. Told by Honda CS it cant be that much of a piece of junk because I have 50K miles on it!

  • Love this car! - 2010 Honda Accord

Recently purchased a 2010 Honda Accord EX-L V6 with navigation. This car is fantastic and I have absolutely no complaints about it at all. Purchased the Alabaster Silver with black leather interior. Love the bluetooth and navigation, as well as the auto light feature. Hope to keep this car for many years to come!

  • Traded In After Numerous Problems - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

Having owned many Hondas before, I was excited when I first bought this car. However, it soon developed problems with paint chipping from the tail light area, rear brake squeal and premature pad wear, and a clicking noise that first was fixed by having the steering column dismantled, and then completely replaced. However the worst was the front seats. It became extremely painful to drive for more then 20 mins in them. The dealer was aware of the problem but there was no fix. I ended up trading this in for a 2006 Honda CR-V SE, which ironically is much more comfortable, problem free, and gets the same gas mileage, despite the fact that its older. Overall, I cant recommend this car to anyone.

  • Needs some recalls - 2008 Honda Accord

I bought my Accord new off the lot with 2 miles on it. Have had it 2 1/2 years. Im seeing very similar reviews to my own, only it seems my car has had the symptoms from each of the other reviews. It seems to burn 1-2 quarts of oil between oil changes( and the oil light does not come on to alert me of this), road noise including power steering is obnoxious, its had to be in the shop for 2 weeks due to some issue with the piston timing within 35,000 miles of owning, brakes are about to need to be changed for the 2nd time. Transmission appears hang in a gear too long when climbing or descending hills. Overall, I bought it for look and reliable name of Honda, but so far Im unimpressed.

Rides nice, not noisy as other reviews indicated. Good price and interest rate.

  • My 2nd favorite Honda - 1997 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my second 97 Special Edition four door, and neither has disappointed. The ride is smooth (on new Pirellis) while it is not a Porsche, it is reliable, safe and fun to drive. It is comfortable as all get out! This is my 6th Honda, and only my 1989 Accord Lxi has been better. Honda is a cut above the rest. Buy one, and you will not be disappointed.

  • Accords rule! - 1997 Honda Accord

I have really enjoyed this car. It has been incredibly reliable. Ive been driving it for 11 years and would drive it for 10 more if my family didnt need a bigger car now.

  • Honda still cant fix the steering - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought the car a year back. The car is spacious, handles well. Negative side: Excessive road noise. Surprisingly various annoying problems: Steering was making noise. Dealer finally changed the steering, but soon noticing excessive vibrations at highway speed, and when u apply brake. I have been to the dealer 5 times about steering problems but problem persists. Remote wont work beyond 20 ft etc. Let me give you my honest opinion: 1) Accord is not anymore trouble free as it use to be. 2) Road noise makes ypu deaf on longer travel.

  • Great Car - 2008 Honda Accord

Not a single problem after 2.5 yr, 30K miles. Accord a great balance of handling/ride-quality and power/fuel- economy.
