Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • GM convert to Honda - 2002 Honda Accord

Retired GM worker just wanting for once a reliable maintenance free car. I owned several GM vehicles, but there are only a handful that I would trust to purchase as a used vehicle. I am surprised as to how a vehicle with over 100K can handle, drive and look so brand new especially the interior. Good job Honda.

  • Rear brake problem - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchased the car less than a year ago. I had the dealer do an oil change last week and was told that the rear brake pads are close to wearing out. I only have 26K miles, most of it highway driving. After a lot of questioning a mechanic told me that this is a problem with all of the 2008 and 2009 Accords. However when you talk to the so called service advisers they try to shift the blame on the way I drive the vehicle. I have done some research on the Internet and find 100s of similar complaints. Is there some way to force Honda to admit they made an engineering mistake and issue a recall?

  • Pain in the Neck - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

This car for me is a study in contradictions. I very enjoy the cars aesthetic and performance characteristics, but driving the car is a literal pain in the neck (and back) because of drivers seat and head restrain design. I have tried for over a year to "dial in" the multiple seating and head restraint configurations to something approaching comfortable, but no luck. Perhaps at 64" and 212 lbs I am too big for the car. Anyhow, the car is now for sale.

  • First and Last Honda - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

Having been a devoted Toyota owner for 30 years I decided in 2007 to make the move to Honda. At 5000 miles I noticed that the rear lug nuts were rusting, odd since the SE alloy rims shouldnt do that. Honda replaced them at no charge. At 16,500 when car went in for oil change and state inspection I was notified that the rear brake calipers were rusted thus causing the rear brake pads to wear which now needed to be replaced! I was told it was because I dont drive the car enough. I drive everyday to work in stop and go traffic. After no reply from the dealer or Honda of America I am trading in the rust mobile for another Toyota.

  • Never again - 2009 Honda Accord

  • I Love My Accord - 2010 Honda Accord
    By -

I love my new Accord. Got the EX-L w/o Navigation and cant believe the great price I paid for this car! I have had three great cars all of which lasted over 8 years and I can honestly say this is the best of the best! I know I will have many happy years of enjoyment driving this car. To those who made statements about outside temperature reading, the Accord does have outside temperature reading. You have to push in the tripometer pin and it will show the outside temperature. -)

  • 2010 Accord-Perfect for me - 2010 Honda Accord
    By -

After test driving and researching cars for eight months I went with the Accord. My wife, daughter and I took a trip to NH and it convinced me the Accord was the best car for me. I split the driving with them and they were very pleased with the cars ride, comfort and performance. I was very happy with the MPG/28.5. After the 450 mile trip my wife seems ready to trade- in her new Outback for a Crosstour.

  • My 5th Honda, best car - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

I traded in my 07 camry for this car, after I could not get used to the camry driving, accelerator dies when you slow. I am very sad honda withdrew this car from the market, car magazines stupidly compare this V 6 to the 4 cylinder hybrids. This is a very powerful car , with amazing gas consumption 36 Mpg HWY. To save money you need better gas consumption in the HWY. This where you put most of the miles. I have put 65,000 mile. 0 problems., feels like brand new. All cars are hybrids. As all cars uses a battery to start. This is not a performance car, this is an Accord with the best performance. I think Honda should bring this car back with 4 and 6 cylinder option.

  • Wish I Could Love This Car, But I Dont - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Based on Hondas reputation, I bought this Accord. Initially, I loved it. But, in the two years Ive owned it, I have had constant brake problems (car shakes under braking and the brakes wore out early). The dealership replaced the brakes all the way around at no charge. Then I had the A/C leak water all over my feet. The seats are extremely uncomfortable. I dread the thought of long trips in this car. Finally, my biggest complaint is the noises I hear from parts of the car. Honda is known for their build quality but all I do is go from one rattle to the other. The dealership has gotten to know me quite well. As long as I have a warranty, theyre going to fix my rattles.

  • One year old still nice - 2010 Honda Accord
    By -

The Accord 6 cyl sedan is a year old now and has 11,600 miles on it with no problems at all. Its comfortable, sporty and it gets reasonable mpg. Winter driving 20 to 22 around town. Just did a check and summer combined 23.7. The one trip to n. Y. With mostly highway with some slowdowns it did 30.2. It would do better in a long run like to Florida I am sure. Always looking at other cars and for the price it is hard to beat this car. I have had 50 to 60 cars and this would be a hard one to replace since it does most things very well and is easy to live with.
