Good little car - 1994 Geo Prizm
By moosesmom - June 15 - 2:00 amI bought mine as a salvage vehicle, and Ive had to fix a few random things, and it still has some quirks (cant roll up the drivers-side window if youre going above 45mph) but overall its been good. When I bought it it had 94K on it, now it has 124K. In that time (15 months), Ive bought 2 sets of tires, numerous oil changes, two alignments, transmission, starter, alternator, timing belt, replaced all the other belts and hoses, and replaced the distributor and everything that attaches to it. Besides the tranny, the most $$ repair was the distributor.

Best buy in small cars - 1995 Geo Prizm
By Dan G - June 13 - 2:00 amI bought my 1995 Prism with 20K miles on it, now it has 100K miles. This is the most reliable car Ive ever had. Believe it or not it still has the original brakes. The only thing I had brake was the altenator. What is Chevrolet thinking when then stop making this wonderful car after 2002.

Good solid car - 1997 Geo Prizm
By bres - June 7 - 2:00 amThis car is safe, convenient and reliable. Those are not sexy words and this is not a sexy car. I do have a few quibbles with the manufacture of the Prizm -- one of the inside arm rests was not well attached and frequent comes off when grabed and one of the heating dials came loose a while ago. Again, annoying but rather minor. It has never broken down or had major problems.

Prizm in Ohio - 1996 Geo Prizm
By moose - May 30 - 2:00 amI love the reliability of the Prizm. The interior is great, too. I am 64" and have plenty of headroom. And all the switches are within reach. My complaints after 6 years is the slow pick up from a dead stop and the angle of the back window. Vision diminishes quickly during heavy rain/snow. After a rain storm, all the windows QUICKLY fog up completely making it very hard to see. Bad news on the highway.

great little car - 1991 Geo Prizm
By jwr1950 - May 26 - 2:00 amRuns very good. For small car has a lot of get up and go. Comfort is quite good. When you shut the doors it sounds solid, something usually found only on foreign cars.

97 geo prizm review - 1997 Geo Prizm
By yssa - May 18 - 2:00 amKinda boring to look at, but its never once broken down or run into any problems whatsoever. Only problem Ive found is you have to floor it to accelerate (on ramp to the highway) and inclines. Not very powerful, but for local driving or long distance reliability its a great car. Great mileage too.
