  • Hope It Lasts Another 10 Years - 1993 Geo Prizm
    By -

Bought it in 1996 with 24000 miles on it It now has 182,000 miles on it. Besides new brakes and tires, the only other thing Ive had to replace is the starter. I change the oil every 5,000 miles otherwise I hope it lasts another 10 years because its been the most reliable car Ive ever owned. Surprisingly comfortable driving it on the highway about 600 miles a week.

  • Wont die... - 1992 Geo Prizm
    By -

This was my wifes car and I got to start driving it after we got married. I have been driving it for 7 years and it will not die. I do take care of the car and do lots of preventative maintenance, but it has 130k miles and is going strong. My only complaint is the automatic transmission needs an overdrive gear. The engine seems to reach max rpm at around 73 mph. It has lots of power and torque, just a low end transmission. The 5 speed would be a bonus.

  • Good College Car: Geo Prizm - 1990 Geo Prizm

Ive had some problems with this used car, but nothing is perfect. Overall, Id say my Prizm has been reliable and I feel confident that it will last forever as long as routine maintenance is performed. Body rusts.

  • Old Reliable - 1997 Geo Prizm
    By -

I bought the Prizm after my wife wrecked my previous commuter car, a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am. As far as utilitarian, this car has been great. It always starts and gets an average of 30 miles per gallon and 42mpg on the highway. The acceleration is sluggish but it is an otherwise great little car. Ive always had Corollas and this is definitely not a disappointing "Corolla".

  • Pretty Good Vehicle - 1993 Geo Prizm

This Geo was my fave of all my vehicles, I would DEFINATELY tell someone to buy one. I have had my jeep almost 10 years now it has broken down 1 time because of a timing belt, and that is it!!!!!!!!!!! VERY reliable vehicle, BUY ONE!

  • my dependable prizm - 1992 Geo Prizm

this is a very reliable school student car. I can honestly say that without my prizm I would be way behind on everything without my realiable prizm transportation. this car gets me everywhere and anywhere I want to go.

  • not bad - 1993 Geo Prizm
    By -

i got my prizm new in 1993, i always thought it looked better than its corrola counterpart. my biggest mistakes were that i didnt get the power window and locks option, and the bigger 1.8 engine. besides two alternators and a starter replacement its been very reliable. the brakes have always worked well, but have noticed a more spongey feel to them lately.inside the dash and instrument panels well placed and look good. overall this car has been worth it.

  • Excellent Small Car - 1995 Geo Prizm
    By -

Bought My Geo in late 1998 with 36,000 miles and have put on over 100,000 miles on top of that since. I drive my car hard so am no fussy about mechanical failures and have had only 1 major fix that is not routine. The clutch master and slave cylinders needed to be replaced around 90000 mi. I have only replace the brakes once and the shocks once. Have some minor problems with the 12V lighter hookup for my external CD player and some problems with knobs. Seats are starting to get uncomfortable. For the money I spent on this car I am very happy with it.

  • One of my better used vehicle purchases - 1990 Geo Prizm
    By -

This car has been very relable over the years. The only problems were a mysterious hole in the radiator one month after purchase and the substandard brake system. The brake system was changed in the next years model so that was taken care of. I had to have the entire brake system overhauled twice and replace the booster once over ten years use. But I have been a little rough on it too.(I found out it can go over 100 MPH)

  • Great Value - 1995 Geo Prizm

I bought the 95 Geo Prizm in 1995 with 4K miles. I have only had to replace the altinator and breaks. I now have 106K miles.
