Ole Reliable - 1992 Geo Prizm
By boundsn - February 9 - 2:00 amIn case you didnt know, this is basically a Toytoa Corolla. This is a fine car, and Ive enjoyed many miles with it. Ive driven from NC to FL to NV to VA and lots of places in between, without a hitch. I do all my own maintanence, and it is very easy to work on, and the parts arent expensive.

wonderful first car - 1991 Geo Prizm
By care - February 7 - 2:00 amI bought a new care today, so its time to leave my review of my faithful Geo Prism (nicknamed "Chloe"). I bought this car 3 years ago, and it was simply a wonderful 1st car. It gets amazing gas mil. and handles well. It never once broke down on me, and theres 150,000 miles on it now. I got new tires for it so it actually handles well in winter weather now. Its roomy. Its cute (if you dig the boxy car look). Never had to replace breaks. The only thing that went wrong was the coolant system. The engine overheats in the summer unless you put the heat on. It can be fixed with an electric fan or something, but I was too lazy to get that done. :o)

good little car - 1993 Geo Prizm
By seobarrat - February 2 - 2:00 amI had purchased this car used a few years ago and was amazed with the quality of this small and understated little car. At 11 years and many miles later it handles and runs great. In regards to fuel, it takes so little to money fill this little car.If you search for a little quaint and dainty car this is a gem.

The Ride of your Life - 1994 Geo Prizm
By Lemursmom - January 7 - 2:00 amThis car was amazing. I say was, because someone was kind enough to total it for me right before Christmas. After 10 years & 180,000 miles, it was still nearly perfect. The only repairs during that time were a fuel filter & a few rotors. You could hardly hear the engime run. I had planned on the car & I going out together but it wasnt in the card. Its the best car for the $$ out there. Foreign technology for a domestic price. You dont get the resale value of a Toyota but you dont pay the price either. Im getting a 2001 tomorrow, identical to my 1994.

Excellent Value - 1997 Geo Prizm
By Bryan Olson - December 30 - 2:00 amOverall- 4 stars out of 5, considering its class. There are a few things its surprising to see in this cars class, chiefly the tremendous upholstery work. I was very impressed with that, as well as the trunk space, and the lively response I get from the 5-speed manual. Improvements are listed below, but overall it has been a pleasant experience.

Bulletproof reliability - 1996 Geo Prizm
By pwcrl - December 11 - 2:00 amBought the car with 30,000 miles. Has 150,000 on it now. Drive it hard and all I have to do is regular maintenance. 5 speed tranny shifts real nice, super gas mileage, not to bad power wise for such a little motor.

Our other car is a Ford... - 1992 Geo Prizm
By Still smiling - November 13 - 2:00 amThis is the only reliable car we have ever owned. We survived owning 2 Chevettes, a Jetta, a Lumina, a Cavalier, a Plymouth Voyager and currently a Ford Windstar. Every one of them had some major defect or annoyance that cost a ton of money to repair. This Prizm owes us nothing.

It Just Keeps Going...... - 1997 Geo Prizm
By BOBW - September 22 - 2:00 amThis is the second Prizm I have owned. Traded the first at 184,000 miles. The 97 has 186,000 miles and just wont quit. The salesman at the dealership was right "Youll get sick of looking at it before you need to replace it". Most reliable, fuel efficient vehicle I have ever owned. Fun to Drive!

Personal Problems - 1995 Geo Prizm
By Questionable - September 22 - 2:00 amReplaced the starter once, but I am also now on my second alternator. I sure hope this is not an ongoing issue but only a problem with the first replacement. I would really like to run this thing into the ground to squeeze every penny out of it. Its sort of ironic that the only parts that fail on this car are the American onces. Engine runs perfect, but the electrical system and the interior are falling apart.
