Ugh. - 1994 Ford Tempo
By Elizabeth Z. - January 15 - 2:00 amSo far Ive had to get the brakes done twice, a new clutch, tie rods, struts, and wheel bearings. And it STILL has front end problems! The engine rattles and the heater is lukewarm. The horn only works if you turn the wheel about 90 degrees to the left. The headlights are dim. Its uncomfortable-very little legroom & no tilt wheel so you have to squeeze yourself into it. And the cupholders under the dash console & behind the gear shift. It handles like a snowplow and is scary to drive in the winter (if it starts). I hate this car.

Lookin To Improve - 1993 Ford Tempo
By The car named Ned - December 9 - 2:00 amI am a high school student and this car has always worked for me until about 150,000 miles...which is a lot. Now the car seems to have expired or something. One of the front ball joints needs replaced and the rear strut mounts have both broken in half....Hence the loud banging noises. Yet "Ned" still gets me where I am going. Now I am looking for something a bit more reliable as I start to travel more.

It likes lots of attention..... - 1992 Ford Tempo
By Tempo Owner - November 17 - 2:00 amIve had the radiator hoses blow on me twice, the air conditioning has been repaired, the brakes have had work. only two of the four power door locks work, the trunk spring doesnt hold up the trunk, the heater core was just replaced as it was filling the passenger side floor full of antifreeze, oh and the cruise control went two weeks ago. The engine just goes and goes though and it has only stranded me once when the radiator hose blew (I was able to repair that myself) I bought it for 750 and Ive put about that much into it in repairs in a year. I think that the next time it screams for attention Ill send it to the bone yard instead.

Cheap and furious - 1993 Ford Tempo
By Vanda - October 30 - 2:00 amThis is a nice car. I really drive a lot and it never failed me. The only reason for me to buy a new one is that I want a more safe car.

1993 Ford Tempo Gl automatic 103K - 1993 Ford Tempo
By Libby Strickland - October 22 - 2:00 amThis car is of poor quality. The parts wear out quickly and are not durable. I cannot wait to get another car. I would only get another Ford if it was brand new or relatively new.

Tempo -rary - 1994 Ford Tempo
By originalowner - October 19 - 2:00 amOver 100k, this has been a fairly reliable, american car. My list: partial tranny $700 80K brakes 40,90 window lifters 6 of them (that sucked) tie rod, susp $400 70 starter $125 100 radiator pending a/c small fix thing Anyone who rips the Tempo probably is expecting too much from life. Anyone who praises the Tempo too much is delusional. I agree with the review that called this a good cheap car. Good for your High School kid to ruin.

Dead at 122k - 1993 Ford Tempo
By msuennen - October 18 - 2:00 amAlthough I have tried to maintain this vehicle as directed, it has cost $1500 to $3000 each year I have owned it in repairs. And now it is dead for good. Good riddance to the Tempo.

1994 Ford Tempo - 1994 Ford Tempo
By Jadecage - September 30 - 2:00 amNine years is the longest Ive ever owned a car and my Tempo never let me down in all that time however the cost of repairs recently has made me decide that I didnt want to go through another Michigan winter with it. It was time for a new car so Im donating it to charity where I hope someone else can make good use of the life thats left in it. Ill be saying my goodbyes to it tomorrow so Im feeling particularly sentimental right now. Emotions aside, Ive always had reliable cars with Ford and my Tempo lasted the longest and gave me many great times across long distances. Im going to miss it very much.

Everything breaks but it keeps on going! - 1992 Ford Tempo
By 6 yr Tempo - September 2 - 2:00 amI purchased this car back in Spring 1997, at the time the car had only 26,000 miles. Since then I have had no major problems with the vehicle. I put over 100,000 miles on this car in a 5 year period. What has gone wrong is the AC has been out for 3 years, 2 alternators, 2 starters, engine mounts dont seem to last (2 are broken now), the front struts are bad, the interior leaks in several places, the rear defroster has about 3lines still working, and finally the power mirrors never have worked. Besides these things, the I feel the engine can reach 200,000 miles. I just took it on a 1800 mile trip and it performed just fine!
