This is a very good reliable car for the car mileage it gets and interior design. A good car to drive.

I just started to drive this car in March. Since then it has left me on the side of the road four times. We just dont know what seems to be the problem. Everything in the car is new so it should not give me any problem but it does. I dont recommend this car to any one, unless you enjoy walking home or taking the bus once in a while. It is alway leaking fluids.

  • Never Touch THIS car! - 1994 Ford Tempo

I bought my ford tempo one year old, and before 50000 miles the transmission needed to be replaced. so i spent 500 dollars right there. thinking bad luck. oh boy was i wrong. then all of a sudden it got this noise in the engine that sounded like a coke can stuck in the belt. so i brought it to the shop and they fixed it, but then it came back louder not even 1 month later. come to find out it was yet again the transmission. then i tried to trade it off to a dealer... they said that it by itself would not be a good enough down payment for a decent car, and that i would need atleast 2 grand more to put with it to make a nomal down payment.

  • Buy this and learn mechanics! - 1990 Ford Tempo

I owned this car as my first and second car. First off it was a very nice car for the 300 I payed for it. But it was always needing to be fixed, but it was never anything major. It also leaked fluids too much. Good for a first car or if your not making enough to afford a real car. Side Note: Fluid leaks are normal for this car. get used to checking fluids and buy a PIG mat to throw under engine when you park it.

  • Tempo is a tough little car - 1994 Ford Tempo

Many people often overlook these fine little cars that Ford built during the last two decades. They really are decent cars, my Tempo is a work-horse, and extremely reliable. Its a fun little car to drive. Granted they werent built perfect, but they are still nice.

  • okay if youre broke - 1993 Ford Tempo

not exactly the safest, most reliable or fun to drive car. expect to replace a lot of parts, and dont ever rear end someone faster than 10 mph because your whole bumper will shatter and fall off.

  • My First car - 1990 Ford Tempo

My very first car was a 1990 Ford Tempo, It was the worst thing ever. The car broke down constintly and was always leaking something. It was bad in the summer because the a/c was broke, and Horrible for the winter because the car took half an hour to warm up and it had ZERO traction. One good thing about the car in the winter, it did not over heat because of the cold. Well most of the time it didnt over heat. When I got a new car they gave me $500 for it and they were being nice. Check out my car review of the 1997 Honda Civic HX!

  • Ideal used vehicle - 1993 Ford Tempo

It seats 5 adults comfortably and has a spacious trunk. Its size is small enough to fit into tight spaces, yet big enough to make you feel like you arent in a sardine can. The controls are easy to reach and operate and the seats are very comfortable. Gas mileage and acceleration are lackluster, but the solid feel and excellent handling more than make up for it. We liked this car so much, we traded our Cutlass Supreme on another Tempo the following day.
