Overview & Reviews
The 1998 Ford Mustang gains standard equipment, such as power windows and door locks, air conditioning, and premium sound. Options are shuffled as well, making it easier to choose the car you want. GT models get a slight boost in power.
- Looks great, handles well, very comfortable for a sports car.
- Too bad the Mustang gets its butt whipped by the GM pony cars.

Not Happy - 1998 Ford Mustang
By stockclimber - January 6 - 2:00 amAt least the car look good. My wife bought this car before we were married and as soon as she could she pawned it off on me. It doesnt handle well. My road to work is twisty and I had always enjoyed seeing what my car can do on it. The mustang handles like a brick. On the inside, the seats are not very good on the lower back and the seatbelts tend to turn in such a way that when you close the door the buckle jams the door and cuts into the paneling. All in all I have not enjoyed this car.

52,000 Miles - Great Car! - 1998 Ford Mustang
By KDaly - September 20 - 2:00 amI bought my Mustang 5 years ago brand new. I have never regretted it. The car is fun to drive and completely reliable. I have kept it very well maintained and had the usual maintenance. The interior cloth seats are a great fabric that has a texture to it, making it difficult to see any wear or stains. The fuel efficiency is above average and being that it is a 5-speed I have plenty of get up and go. All instruments are easily found and self-explanatory. This is a great car! I have loved putting every mile on her!

Just give me a reason to drive it! - 1998 Ford Mustang
By gstang46 - September 5 - 2:00 amThis was one of the last Mustangs of its style when I bought it. I have had it now for just over four years and have had no problems, even after all of the mods that I completed. You know the mods that every Mustang loves (gears, shifter, exhaust, sub-frame connectors, throttle body, mass air meter, rear anti-sway bar,and a Vortech Supercharger. We can not forget the supercharger cause mustangs just love them. Plus many more additions that I have blessed the car with. All I have to say is that even after all that, the car can still be driven like a normal car with no problems and on a regular maintance schedule.

POWERFUL!!!!!!!!! Black GT - 1998 Ford Mustang
By Ouida Davis - August 19 - 2:00 amAfter buying this car, I joined a Mustang Club and proceeded to make modification upon advice of other members. My car stays garaged more of the time than not, due to Car Show reasons... Seldom driven in the rain. Modified Exhasut System, FlowMasters, Bassanni X-Pipe, 3.5 inch tips. Underdrive Pulleys, K&N Airfilter, Diablo SuperChip, 9MM SVO Racing Wires, Racing SplitFire Spark Plugs, Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter etc.... Love My Stang!!!

Nice Car - 1998 Ford Mustang
By SteveDave - August 5 - 2:00 amAs a previous owner of Mustangs and Camaros I am used to the "crudeness" of this type of car and enjoy it. Simple plan, stuff a V-8 and a manual transmission in a small car and - poof - you have a fun ride! I have had this thing for over a year now with no problems (except trying to find excuses to drive somewhere!).

Great Fla Toy - 1998 Ford Mustang
By coolflagram - July 17 - 2:00 amI bought this car after I turned 50 and I wanted to be cool, well I am cool but also very frightened of the fast driving everyone else does here in Florida. I travel over 30 miles one way to work and I would keep this car if the gas milege were better. I love to put the top down and just enjoy this great Florida weather.

Super Fun Car - 1998 Ford Mustang
By nrjones - July 10 - 2:00 amI bought this car with 14,000 miles and it has been perfect to 62,000. Amazing handling with power. It sits much nicer than the GM cars, and is more economical as well. I can get 29 mpg on straight highway driving. Town is not nearly as good (around 18). Sweet car, looks great, and insurance is not that bad - just get married and turn 25! However I have the automatic and would suggest a manual!

5 years no problems! - 1998 Ford Mustang
By paulinbaltimore - June 22 - 2:00 amWhen I purchased my mustang in 1997 I was told by many people that I would not be happy owning a Ford. Of course they said found on roadside dead etc. I loved the way the car drove and I six years later still love it. So far the only things I have had to do in six years is change the oil, the tires and the battery. NOTHING has broken, the radio, A/C and top all still work fine as well. Yes, there is some leaking now. Also surpising is my gas milage. Its a 6cyl manual so it should get good milage. It gets GREAT milage. 32 highway 25 city. I could not be happier.

Wish I had it Back - 1998 Ford Mustang
By clutch - May 9 - 2:00 amWhere do I begin? I just had to get rid of my Mustang because I needed more room being a musician and student, and I really didnt want my car to get in the middle of some war path of dents, scratches, and high mileage. (I drive a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport now.) Although this car was a 6 cyl automatic, it was still a Mustang, and it was so much fun to drive. The body style was awesome, and sure it turned heads...I was very "neurotic" about this vehicle it was my pride and joy. I would highly recommend this car to any "car obsessed" person like myself who cant afford the high insurance on a GT. I will own another one VERY soon.
