  • Great Car Great Purchase - 2016 Ford Fusion
    By -

This is a review of my so far experience with my new 2016 Fusion Titanium AWD. I have just shy of 1,000 miles on it and as expected with any brand or model of new car it should be flawless still at this point. I am happy to say that my Fusion is fitting that statement quite well. Time will of course be the deciding factor of my feelings for this car in the long term but at this point I am very pleased with my choice.

  • An Affordable Luxury - 2016 Ford Fusion
    By -

The 2016 Ford Fusion SE model with the luxury package is what I purchased. All controls work well and are well placed for me. The center console sits too far back when my girlfriend drives it, but considering that shes a bit short, its to be expected. The air conditioning works OUTSTANDING for East Texas heat and humidity. My only complaint about this car is the onboard navigation. It is not up to date with current roads and is a bit outdated in its style of use. Other than that, Im very well pleased with the car.

  • NOT for use on gravel roads!!! - 2016 Ford Fusion
    By -

This car is probably great if you never drive on gravel roads. Unfortunately, I drive on gravel everyday. This car sits very low to the ground. I have even had trouble with scraping the bottom on sudden rises when driving in town. On gravel, I have to be extremely careful not to drag the car when driving over ruts or potholes. Even worse, this car is very prone to getting gravel stuck in the rotors, causing a loud, irritating, screeching noise. This started for the first time when I had around 400 miles on the car. I now have less than 3000 miles on the car, and I have had this problem several times since. A week ago, it got so bad that I finally had it checked out because I was afraid there was something more wrong with the car than just a rock stuck in the rotor. I took it in to the dealer and, sure enough, there was a piece of gravel stuck in the rotor, causing the car to screech. I had the rotors cleaned, at my own expense, as the warranty wouldnt cover it. Today, one week later, I hopped in the car and guess what, its screeching again!!! Very frustrating to have to deal with this with a brand-new car. I dont understand what it is about this car that is causing this problem. I have always driven on gravel roads daily, and I have always done so in a car this size or smaller, but have never had problems like this before. If I had known that I would be listening to this car screech before it had even had its first oil change, I would NEVER have bought it! If you live on a gravel road, keep shopping!

  • Ex Ford racer retires but still likes performance. - 2016 Ford Fusion

As a twice previous winner in the World Ford Motorsports Drag Race Challenge and now retired, I needed a car that would do as I asked. This 2016 Fushion Titanium Turbo does just that. Anytime I ask. I have had 10.00 second e.g. cars and this at times is as much fun without the cost. I would recommend this car to anyone with heart. I will never sell this one.

  • Best Car - 2016 Ford Fusion

This car is by far one of my favorite cars. We currently have a 2014 Cadillac CTS, 2014 GMC 1500 SLT, 2011 Subaru Outback and a 2011 Subaru Impreza Outback. Let me tell you this car drives better than all of them. The car is just as quiet as the Cadillac and has a lot of pep on the go. Forget about those ugly Chevys, too me they didnt even come close. This car is really only used to go to Allentown and back and it has a better fuel economy than my 2013 Ford Focus hatchback (which I traded in for this one). Every one comments on it and loves it. I have customers coming in my business every day and ask about it all the time and how great it looks. Great car, if you are even consider looking at one make it one of your top choices, you wont regret it!

  • A classy car without bankrupcy - 2016 Ford Fusion

For 25 years I drove Jaguars and Nissan Maximas, both fine cars (with the exception of Jaguars Lukas electronic which kept me visiting my mechanic). My mechanic suggested I purchase a Ford Fusion Titanium for its fine ecoboost 2 liter engine and European sports car feel, one he said was comparable to the Maxima and Jaguars I had owned, but at a sticker price that would not be in the 40 thousand dollar and up stratosphere. I took his advice, realizing I was buying a brand that lacked the cachet of my previous cars. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that my Fusion matched every standard of style, roadability, cornering, and comfort offered by more expensive vehicles. If the Maxima had a reputation for being a poor mans BMW, the Ford Fusion surely can be labeled a smart mans bargain. I reasoned I saved an additional 5 to 20 thousand dollars by not buying a snob brand. Thats sufficient to quiet my fears I may be looked down upon when I pass all those expensive European darlings so many people buy. The ecoboost is not a threat to win the Daytona 500, but it certainly has enough gumption to please eager speedsters looking for a red-light race. I now have almost ten thousand miles on my Fusion Titanium and nothing has happened to alter my high praise for my car. It handles like my old Jaguars and Maximas, hugging the road around corners with the ease of driving on superhighways, and the four cylinder eco boost turbo provides quick and seamless acceleration. The road noise is muffled, allowing a quiet and comfortable cabin to enjoy favorite symphony or concerto on the Sony sound system. I will buy another Fusion, though I might be tempted to opt for the new V-6 option.

  • Ford Fusion SE 2.0 Ecoboost Turbo, FWD, Awesome! - 2016 Ford Fusion
    By -

I love this car, got it loaded up with the Luxury Package w/18-inch alloy wheels, Technology/Nav Package, and 2.0 liter Ecoboost turbo, for under $27K including tax, tag, and title after rebates. I simply couldnt find comparable equipment and performance at this price point for any other midsize sedan. I imagine you can get it even cheaper now with the new 2017s hitting the lots. Gas mileage is great if you drive sensibly, but mashing on the pedal to go into boost is too fun sometimes. Very quick car, and comfortable on potholed DC metro area streets. It handles all bumps well. Highway driving really opens up the gas mileage, get over 30 mpg easily at 75 mph. I drove and like the Mazda6 and Honda Accord, but the Ford just ended up being the best blend of performance, luxury, and technology. I think the Ford interior is of better quality than the Honda Accord EX-L, and the Fusion is just simply better to look at. The Mazda6 is underpowered, though the chassis is tuned well. We already own one Kia, so I opted not to go the Kia Optima SX Turbo/Hyundai Sonata Sport route. Neither one of those got good performance reviews for the turbo models. I love this Ford, and get compliments all the time. Folks tell me it looks like a 4-door Mustang. My kids think its cool. I did upgrade the headlights, as the stock halogens were pretty weak. The owners manual shows you how to replace the bulbs, its easier than it looks. Overall awesome car at a reasonable price.

  • Did my research - picked Ford again - 2016 Ford Fusion
    By -

I do a lot of research before I buy anything, usually spend more time on the internet reading reviews and visiting car sites than I do at the dealerships. I narrowed my search down to the Audi A4, Mazda6, Hyundai Sonata, and the Ford Fusion. Drove them all, ran the numbers, and the Fusion came out on top. So far (its been a month), Im really happy with my decision. Things I love about the car: unbelievably quiet and smooth ride; interior details like the navigation and entertainment console; comfortable seats; the exterior design is awesome , white platinum paint, and great leg/head room for a 63" guy. Its really a fun car to drive too, plenty of power, but again, its the quiet smooth ride that sold me. Things I like about the car: fuel economy (about 31 average right now), perks that come with the Luxury package. Things I wish it had: the a/c and heater controls are up/down arrows - but everyone keeps trying to use the radio knobs to adjust the temperature. Also, the seat heaters require you to reset them each time the car is turned off - my other cars retain the seat heater setting until you change it, or turn it off yourself. I also would have liked a push button start; auto lock/unlock via the door handles like the Titanium version. My sons Scion has those features - come on Ford! That should be part of the Luxury package. But all things considered, I would have bought this car again without question. I got a better deal on the Ford, and my family loves it as much as I do. I think the SE is a better deal than the Titanium, you seem to get almost the same options, just at a better price.

  • No resale value - 2016 Ford Fusion

I love the fusion but after 1 year of ownership and only 7k mile on the odo, the car I paid 32k for is only worth 16k. Truly, fords dont hold their value

  • New Car Should Not Have Problems - 2016 Ford Fusion
    By -

Rented this car from Enterprise with only 8,000 miles. Was driving it on the highway when a wrench light came on and the accelerator lost all power. I could only brake and was forced to the side of the rode. I let the car sit awhile and then started it back up without any problems. Unfortunately, the exact same thing happened a day later. This car clearly has an engine problem related to the intake or gas. There is no excuse for a brand new car to have any issues, especially related to the engine. I will never purchase a Ford.
